The true essence of an inner city diner, is a unique personality, friendly staff, and good food. Satellite has that. The place was hopping at 9pm so service times were a bit stretched. Love a place with all day breakfast options. Our server personable if not entertaining. Menu choices were fun, couldnt pass up French Toast with Friends. Seems like a decent place to hang out with your friends too.
Great environment and awesome food. Service was quick and staff was very friendly. I sat at the front bar, which seats are a little tight to get into, but server was great and the cook brought my food to me and he was just as awesome. Would highly recommend for anyone who lives in Spokane or passing through like I was.
Anna is an amazing server and made the experience worth while! The smell of onion rings was a delight late at night. All of the food was sensational.
Food waa served hot and presented well. We ordered mozzarella sticks which I forgot to take photos of, but they were decent size and crispy perfect: not blown out at all. Marinara sauce was very nice. My hamburger was very large so I only ate half. Not greasy at all. I had a salid with mine and although the waiter apologized for the mistake, I ordered without tomato and it came covered in them. This is one of the reasons for 3 stars. They have a 24 hour menu. Anything that you see on the menu at any time during business hours they will fix. Would I go back? Yes, if in the area.
I’d give no stars if I could. How can you mostly ignore a customer for almost 40 minutes? I was polite. An employee told me to sit anywhere and she’d be right with me. I sat at the bar. And then a few minutes later was asked what I was there for. I replied “I heard you have really good food here.” I got handed a food menu. I looked over the menu, decided. After those two encounters, employees just walked around me. A couple of them made eye contact, but no one asked if I wanted a drink, or if I was ready to order food.So, I got up and left.The place wasn’t crowded, and as a person with nothing in front of them, I shouldn’t have to signal someone for help.How can you run a business like that?
This place is awesome. I discovered one day at brunch while hunting for a grilled cheese. Their menu is vast and everything I have tried there has been delicious, including the grilled cheese. Best part is that it is also a lounge so you can drink beer and order biscuits and gravy at 1 am if you like. This is one of my favorite go to places.

Always good. Coffee ☕️ tastes good, it’s not water down, it’s worth it to have it here with your meal, portions are generous, tasty, flavorful, you have lots of options and they are very nice, price is good and staff is attentive. This is a cool local restaurant, I like it a lot.
Dropped in on a whim after our original breakfast stop fell through. There was a fairly long wait for the food - thats the only reason my review isnt a 5/5.We ordered the burrito and the chicken fried chicken. Both ordered were delicious - not at all greasy which you sometimes find with diner food. The portions were large and put both of us out of commission for the afternoon. The gravy that came with the chicken fried chicken was SO spot on. We also ordered a mimosa and one of their bloody Marys with the black peppered vodka (highly recommend).Service was attentive and made us both feel welcome. The combination of the food and service makes this a must try for those on the hunt for a great diner experience.

Breakfast here is great! A friend ordered a burger on the menu and they made it impossible for her. Service was top notch! Would definitely recommend, and we will be going back. Also, best drip coffee of any diner Ive been to.
If youre in Downtown Spokane, looking for great Diner food, this historic spot is a must stop!! 7AM Monday - Friday. 8AM Saturday & Sunday. Goggle says theyre closed at 1AM. Thats the Lounge. I know the Diner is open until 4AM.

Nobody has time to eat at this place. We went in and were seated with 5 minutes of our arrival. The menus were give to us and so was coffee. I was optimistic about our experience at this point. We waited 20 minutes for someone to get back and put our order in. Once the order was taken we waited an hour and ten minutes to get our food. We literally got there at breakfast and it was lunch time before we ate. I guess if you can plan stuff like that out, hit the place up at 930 and order lunch, because that is when you will eat.
My friend and I stopped in for dinner and a drink. Friend had a Long Island Ice Tea, she said it was hands down the best she has had in over 30 years. I had dinner for breakfast and it was perfect. Great service, food and drinks. Will come again.
We stopped here on our road trip from Seattle to Montana and were hungry like wolves. And yet, what’s up with the HUGE serving proportions?None of us in the group were able to finish the food and had to get to-go boxes. Food was on on point though and the staff is amazing and friendly! If you’re from out of town, stop here as the vibe is very different from Seattle. But definitely ask about the serving portions before ordering :D
Extremely poor service. Rude waitress and I observed things that were questionable at best as far as food safety. Come to find out they sell frozen food as well. Chicken fried steak is not made here, they are charging premium prices for frozen garbage and they are not sanitary, they do not have a clean food prep/kitchen area, the grill is dirty. They dont disinfect anything and the bathrooms have pee all over the floor
This place is amazing the people who work at the satellite are so sweet and super accommodating. The atmosphere was very home like and peaceful too. And the food was amazing it tastes so good Ive never been there and it was my first time and I absolutely loved it I would recommend this place to everyone I know and meet cause this place is perfect!!!
Saw some of the nasty reviews and wondered if we even should eat here. But my son swears it is one of the best kept secrets in the county, so we gave it a try for lunch. And all I can say is the reviews are wrong. They treated us like family. Service was fast and they were totally aware of us the entire time. The food was incredible. Our booth was private. My wife has all sorts of allergies and they kindly catered to them all, even though such stuff is not easy for a waitress or a chef. We work downtown and will definitely make this a regular place to eat. Looking at the menu, we really should make a trip in for breakfast soon. And we regret that we didnt find this place years ago.....................
Loved this place so much. Food was delicious and cooked really well. The service was amazing, shout out to Lane! We ended up being the last table of the night (on a Thursday) and they received some backlash for it, and handled it exceptionally well. Will definitely be eating here again!
The first time I came here I wasnt super impressed. The atmosphere was excellent and the staff were amazing, but the food was... Acceptable. My burger wasnt super flavorful. HOWEVER, I went there a day or two ago, and it was one of the best meals Ive had in weeks. I ordered a chicken basket with smothered fries and it was delectable! The sausage gravy was savory and not too salty, the fries were crispy and fresh, and chicken matched the flavor with its perfect texture and crunch.If you havent been here before, just do it. Ask the waiter what they like, and youll never get something bad. Just phenomenal.

Great food, friendly staff, and such a laid back atmosphere! Stopped in for lunch with my little family and was very happy with our experience and the food did not disappoint. Will definitely be back!

This place has absolutely good food and is a must if you plan to eat in down town Spokane, WA. The waitress was astounding, and the cooks were amazing. The only reason for a 4 star is that I could see the dust hanging off the AC unit that was above where we were sitting which was a little discomforting but not something that would make me cancel my order. You all are super in book. Thank you for the amazing service & food.
Went to the diner (separate door from the lounge) because most places were closed for food. The food tasted better than I think should be expected for late night dining, and my server recommended a delicious beer that I enjoyed. Everyone was nice, and the staff handled a situation with an unruly guest well.

Honestly are used to love this place it was my favorite place to eat but I will never go back and I do not recommend them to anyone anymore the staff there do not care about their customers I’ve had a few incidences but the two that made me not want to go no more I called in a phone order and the guy put me on hold for over 35 minutes I hung up the phone went into his work and there was nobody even in there. Tonight I went and made a phone order showed up on time for my food and sat there for 15 minutes while they laughed and joked with someone at the register and my food sat in the container and got soggy behind the counter I walked out without getting my food because this was the most horrible service I am very very hungry right now and I wish they cared about me it makes me really sad to say that I will never walk into the establishment again And it isn’t due to the quality of food it’s due to the lack of care by the service.
A cool cozy little joint. Very friendly and a great selection of food and drink choices. Wont leave you high and dry for the prices. If youre ever in downtown Spokane, stop by have a drink or some food.
I should be giving this place a 1 star but considering I have been there before and it wasnt as bad Ill give it 2 stars. My husband and I went here to eat last night on a date. We arrived around 9:30pm and ordered a round of drinks and food. We received our round of drinks but no food. At about 10:15 the waitress came to the table and asked us if we were doing okay. I stated yes and asked for another drink while we still wait to eat. 30 minutes go by still no other drinks and no food. My husband got up and went to look for the waitress and he said she stated we never ordered food but some guy not sure if he was the bartender or what went through her tickets and found our food order. She apologized and said she would get the food ordered right away and if we needed anything else. My husband said yes the drinks we ordered 30 minutes ago never came. Now here is we get frustrated now its 11:05pm. Our second round of drinks never came and neither did the food. The whole point why we were down town spokane was to EAT FOOD at Satellite. Pointless. We got up and left. The waitress stated Cool let me get your tab. Super bad service.

Went in last night after Spokane Comedy Club. The woman who “greeted” our party was grumpy, hostile and rudely asked if we had masks. Keep in mind the tables are about 6 feet from the door and only one other table was occupied.We asked if we needed to go get masks if we are only walking 6 feet to the table. The waspish answer was “ you can go somewhere else”. Which is what we did.Will never return and will recommend the same to everyone we know.

First timers here. We got in just before it got to wait listtime. Other than the place being fairly warm and the food took quite a while, it was worth the wait. Excellent service and great breakfast!!! Will definitely be going again!!
Went for take out when we arrived in Spokane based on online reviews. Paid extra for take out, which was fine except: no tartar sauce on fish sandwich or on the side, no sauce for chicken strips even though I recall the menu gave option of at least ranch, and only three packets of ketchup for the burger and 4 side orders of fries. Lack of these condiments took away from quality of food. Too tired to leave hotel again just to go back and get these.

This was a very neat place to stop at. We had breakfast here. The caramelized bacon and jalapeños were a great unique addition to breakfast. My son’s kid size plate was huge. Staff was friendly. It was a little crowded when we went but we didn’t have to wait long. Everything did seem very cramped in there, probably to try and maximize space, but overall it was a great place to eat.
I love this place!! There is a reason owners Mimi and Colleen just celebrated 20 years of business. The best dive bar/restaurant in town, hands down. Great service, great food (my fav is the beer battered French fries) The restaurant is open almost 24 hours/7 days a week, and all ages are welcome. (Obviously not on the bars side) Come visit soon! TRY THE HOMEMADE SOUPS!!!
Sweet place. Awesome gravy fries. Not gonna say its the only diner that plays heavy metal but its probably the only diner that plays heavy metal. 5/5 would head bang again.

I appreciate the fact that you have kept your loyal staff employed when so many local restaurateurs have elected to defray costs by closing down. That being said the food here is still absolutely the bomb!! The service is impeccable and of course Eryn is the BEST bartender in town. When will people learn that BACON is a food group? Note to all my foodie followers....if you dont see it on the menu just ask. These cooks really know their stuff.

I just got to town from an 8 hour drive. We came in around 11 p.m. although they were super busy, the staff were friendly and chill actually seem like good, cool people. I got the satellite burger. I have to say hands down the best burger Ive ever had! Everything is cooked within sight of the counter, with fresh ingredients while you wait.

We were helped by a brand new server named Devin and he was so cool and chill!! Really accommodating to our needs and he had been working all day and was still in high spirits. The food is AMAZING!!! 6 of us came here and i tried everyone’s plate from breakfast food to lunch to dinner and every single plate was perfect. Definitely will be coming back.

Literally writing this as we leave, my partner had raved about this place for years and we finally were in the area to make it. We entered and were told it would be a moment before anyone took our order, as they had a rush, but nevertheless our waitress was super speedy, very sweet and attentive, not to mention how joyful and knowledgable she was with us. The food was delicious, even though we took home leftovers because we were so full already! After hearing great things about this place for so long, it definitely lived up to expectations!

Its a downtown bar. You get exactly what you think you will get; expensive drinks, mediocre over packed surroundings, a bunch of homeless people, with good staff and a bar with a lot of personality. Oh and great food.
After waiting for a table for 30 minutes, they wouldn’t let us in because we didn’t have IDs. The brilliant person working the door didn’t tell us she was seating us in the bar area. Instead of having any customer service skills and admitting it was their fault, she said we’d have to wait another while for a table. No communication and zero customer service. We were pressed for time and no longer had time to eat. Don’t waste your time here, or they’ll waste yours.

Came in around 10:00 and got turned away because “the tables were full.” Okay, that’s fine. Guy was honestly pretty rude about it. Maybe have a sign of some sort stating that you’re full or even better, tell the customer to wait a few minutes considering I drove around the corner and watched a group of girls get seated less than 3 minutes after me and my partner got turned away. Really annoying, not great customer service.

Breakfast here was considerably more expensive than I was expecting, and the singular stall considered the mens restroom did not have a lock. But the coffee was pretty damn good.

The biscuit stacker is an absolute grand slam. Waited 2 years to go because of useless lockdowns and the food and staff was exactly like we had remembered them. The hot mess is worth getting for the leftovers the next day for sure
