We ordered almost $7000.00 worth of cabinets from Shane. From the beginning I was sent a confirmation of the order and one of the cabinets was ordered wrong. It was a single door pantry which was critical to my order because we were installing a water heater inside. Shane said a single door pantry does not exist (although it is listed online) and that I was to accept a two door pantry cabinet and he told me to cut out the middle portion. He made it sound simple so I accepted his resolution.About 30 days later we were contacted by the shipper to arrange a delivery date. The day of the delivery, two different people from the delivery company called and warned me that the shipment was severely damaged and probably missing parts. We called Shane regarding the issue and he told us to take pictures and accept the shipment regardless of the damage. When the truck arrived, the driver showed us the pile of splinters that was our order and laughed. There was no longer a pallet left because it had been destroyed and everything else was in a pile. The truck driver said it was one of the worst he had ever seen and we should not accept it. We called Shane and told him how bad it was and that we couldnt accept the order. We took pictures immediately and sent them to Shane.Since that time, Shane has blocked all of our calls and not answered any of our Emails.We contacted Pay Pal for help and he offered $1.00 as a refund.PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, IT IS A RIP OFF.
Shane at online cabinets direct has been helping me with kitchen and bathroom renovations for over 5 years. There have been damaged or missing pieces as with most companies in construction, but Shane has always taken care of the problems and everyone was happy in the end. I have them in my own house and couldn’t be happier.
We have done multiple projects with Online Cabinets Direct over the years. Shane has always communicated well and we have always been happy with the products we received. Our company builds new homes along with customer renovations and investment properties and we find what we need at all different price points through this company. I find the product easy to work with and looks very professional once installed. Will continue to order from!
Couldnt be happier - solid, beautifully finished cabinets arrived at my door in perfect condition. Would absolutely recommend this company and intend to use them again in the future. Thank you Shane for your personal attention!
I ordered 3 cabinets for a bathroom vanity. One was a center piece that had 4 drawers. It came in complete. The other two, which were the cabinets for the 2 sinks, came in with only the fronts in boxes. No side panels, no backs. I had to pay extra for the installer to use the drawer box sides for a template to build sides for the vanities. I called Online Cabinets Direct and explained the problem. I forwarded pictures of the boxes unpacked to show the contents. I asked for a credit for the missing pieces, as I couldnt wait for him to send more out, since the order was 3 weeks late arriving to begin with. I never heard back from him. Dont do business with this company!Furthermore, he said he had issued me a credit...he didnt. Dont do business with Shane Doyle.
Every cabinet, trim piece, and toe kick we received was made in China. I live nearby their factory and wanted to pick up a finished cabinet end piece they didnt give me and I had to wait for it to be shipped from China. Youre telling me I could not pick up a white painted base cabinet end? Sounds like a scam! I believe all their cabinetry is drop shipped from China. Not to mention the cabinets are difficult to assemble with terrible instructions from China. You have to glue and finish nail the cabinets together. None of the needed supplies to assemble are included. The handy homeowner would struggle with this assembly, its meant for a carpenter to assemble. This is my first and last time working with them. It was my 7th time ordering & assembling RTA cabinets. I flip houses and am very familiar with RTA cabinets. I was trying to shop local by choosing this company, never again! Communication was inconsistent and Shane was rude over the phone more than once. Would not recommend this company!
The good and the could be better:Great quality RTA cabinets! The drawer boxes are solid and dovetailed with high quality soft closing slides. The doors and drawer fronts are very nicely made, heavy with tight joints and a very nice finish! We chose to assemble them ourselves and each cabinet took us about half an hour to 45 min. but we have the right tools and know how. The instructions that come with the cabinets can be hard to understand for someone not familiar with how to. The printable how to on their site says use 3/4 inch brads but the cabinets come with plastic guides that worked much better with my 5/8 staples and compressor powered stapler. They just need to update the printable instructions as well as uploading a new, clear, how to video on their site for those who want to tackle assembly but dont have the up front know how. The only other thing that could improve is communication. When I ordered it wasnt clear when they would be completed and a few phone calls werent returned. If you do want them to assemble your cabinets lead time is 6-10 weeks and it was just 2 weeks until our ready to assemble order was ready to pick up or ship.
I am giving Shane one star primarily due to communication and general lack of customer service. Our Cabinets were ordered on 9/5/2018 and shipped on 9/13/2018 and arrived 9/21/2018. We received our cabinets via residential delivery($99 extra). Unfortunately the shipment was missing our Filler and Crown Molding. I immediately called and let Shane know that day 9/21/2018, he asked for the BOL which I emailed to him the same day with the missing items highlighted. I had to follow up with him several times to find out what the next steps were and literally had to ask what are the next steps he is not very forth coming with information. The last I heard from him was that our missing products were scheduled and that he will provide me with a tracking # as soon as he has it, that was on 9/27/18. I am still waiting on that tracking # and have reached out to him several times since. All the while I have had to put my Installation contractor on hold which is costing me time and money. We are going on a Month now with a process that should have been over in 3 weeks.
Poor customer service. Had to call them 5 times over the course of two weeks to get the parts they were missing from my order. When they sent them, they sent the wrong items.
