I heard of this place when I Googled coffee near me while I was in the Springfield area. Since I got rid of my car some time ago, I walked to the locale, unaware it was basically a tiny shack that only does drive through. But in spite of that, I waited in a small line of cars while I myself was the only one on foot. Theyre able to serve on both sides of the Shack, which is nice. Now, being a coffee aficionado myself, I know a thing or two about coffee, from steaming the milk properly, to proper grind size, proper extraction of espresso, etc... I also roast my own coffee when Im home. The smells were what Id expect from a coffee joint, delicious roast notes that fill the air with delight and remind me that waking up at 7am is indeed worth it if I can get my hands on some espresso.I went rather plain Jane and ordered two regular lattes, one hot and one iced.The hot latte was definitely the star. The steamed milk gave the subtle sweetness typical of a latte, while the espresso was smooth and had cocoa and nutty undertones. The espresso should not be sour, nor overly acidic, and Im pleased to say that it was not, so Id definitely vouch for the quality of the espresso and espresso based drinks this place offers.The cold latte gets the job done, but cold espresso drinks inherently are more muted in their flavor profile, and as such, I ordered it only because I like something to sip on throughout the day. It was nothing spectacular, but thats not on them. Its just how espresso works when its cold.In any case, theyre much better than Dunkin and also better than Starbucks, so if in the area, give em a visit. If youre a true lover of coffee. You wont regret it.

I got a matcha latte with almond milk and I asked if they could add vanilla, the person at the window said they already add it, and I said great! But when I got it, I couldnt taste the vanilla. It was okay, other than that. A cute lil drive thru

For a local coffee shop, the coffee tastes pretty good. It isnt overly pricey, and the quality is excellent. I recommend giving it a try!!!

I know Im so late when it comes to this place but Im glad I finally visited! The lines are long for good reason. Im not an avid coffee drinker and I typically like my drinks a little sweeter. This place definitely delivered! I tried their coffee in the Newspaper style with half dark and white chocolate and some raspberry thrown in with 2 splashes of cream. Seriously delightful and affordable for the amount they give you. Ill definitely be back!

Went for the first time today after having been recommended to me by a friend and I was not disappointed! It was very good and really well priced. They were quick to make it and I love that they have punch cards!

First time going, I ordered a peanut butter cup latte (because I like candy). It was excellent coffee, but not the kind of intensely peanut buttery chocolatey flavor I was hoping for when I ordered it. Next time I think Ill ask them to add sugar, because it was not as sweet as I usually drink my coffee either. My husband loved it just the way it was though!

We stopped in Springfield for the night and in the morning were looking for a good real coffee place.We found it. It was a great choice. The two women serving and making up our drinks were very friendly and engaging.Two of our group ordered Americanos. Rating good!Have you heard of a Dirty Chai? I hadnt. Its chai (tea) with a shot of espresso. My god, I found nirvana! I could have my two favourite drinks in one.The Dirty Chai did not disappoint. Kudos to Dark Stone Coffee. I also grabbed a cold brew coffee.We will stop by on our next trip through Missouri.

EASY 5 stars. The first time I went the man working was very helpful and so friendly! Every other time I’ve gone everyone else is just as personable! Just a pleasant way to start a work day. The ice lattes are amazing, I love the variety of flavors! The sickerdoodle is my favorite so far but I intend to try them all.

The coffee’s pretty good, but because it’s a “food truck” you can get stuck waiting if there are a lot of people there in front of you. It would also be cool if they would add at least an outdoor seating area.Iced Chais are good, and they make it fast.Good product, but I would love to see some more things to keep me there other than an empty parking lot.

Great place to get coffee! Ive tried their blended coffee and iced caramel lattes! I reccomend their iced caramel lattes.Theres a drive through option or you can walk up to the window!This place offers a punch card reward system.

I just stopped by for a quick cup of coffee, I didnt know the place existed, I just saw drive through coffee and turned fast. The staff was friendly and fun to talk to, and the coffee is easily the best I have ever had. I can taste the big flavor of the coffee beans with every sip. Its obvious they dont use corn syrup or dyes, too. Every sip is authentic coffee. Im in love.

Best Frappe I have had and wonderful staff! I decided to take my mother there, as she is a coffee fanatic (but rarely finds a good coffee) and she exclaimed that Dark Stone was the best shes had, as well!Every time I make a trip into Springfield, Im sure to make a stop at Dark Stone.

This is a great little coffee drive through only business. Ive been here a few times and any time Ive been the staff that works here has been incredibly friendly and helpful in ordering a vegan drink. Their coffee is good. Its a quaint little drive through. Make sure you ask for a menu if you go because there isnt one up anywhere (that I could see anyway).

Is it the best hazelnut latte in the world? I dont know I havent had ever hazelnut latte in the world. But I can say with confidence that they make a pretty good hazelnut latte.

I stop here every time I come through town. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have a wide, creative selection of coffee drinks, teas, and other drinks. Every one of them that I have tried has been delicious.

I stopped here on my way out of town and I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of teas here. This cafe was such a blessing, and the two men working were very kind. I hope they do well because this is definitely a great spot!

This drive through coffee shop never disappoints. Ive been here three times so far and every time they have gone above and beyond with their customer service. One time the barista remade my drink because he wanted to make sure it was perfect. I have tried the tea and coffee and they were both good. You will probably need to ask for a menu when you pull up unless you are familiar with their menu already as I didnt see one posted anywhere. Another bonus is that all of their syrups are vegan (even the white mocha!) They even went so far as to read the ingredients to me. Like I said they are incredibly kind and very customer service oriented. Give them a try instead of visiting the large chain coffee shops one day!

Its sometimes tough to find a real good espresso while on the road. Dark Stone delivered an exceptional shot and well made latte. The barista was very friendly as well. Dont settle for burnt beans at star$$$. Enjoy the taste of true artisans at Dark Stone.

We watched the barista run out of drip coffee, steam water and pour it into both our coffees so they would be full. So we paid $5 for two cups of hot water.

Just north of Hardees on Glenstone (turn right, or East, on the street just after) Love it there! Way better than you know where. ;) Locally owned and run by the nicest people! Coffee can be intimidating, but theyll help you find what you want. They have me totally hooked on the hot French Silk...but it used to be the frozen mocha. Its all amazing. Try it!

Love the quality and service. They use a local roaster for their beans. I have never had to wait long. I do wish they offered pastries or something of the like though.

Today, for the first time, I was one of those people who pull up to the drive-thru because the lights of an establishment are on. I crept up to the window and shyly asked when they open, hoping its at that moment because this particular Saturday was cold and snowy, I ran out of creamer at home (or anything comparable to it, and I cant do plain black coffee because Im not that hardcore, Im like an adorable plush penguin with a caffeine addiction), and I had ten minutes to get to work and clocked in. When barista responded eight but that she could make me something then if Id like, I almost cried happy tears and asked her to be my best friend, I think she developed a halo and wings in that moment. Gleefully, I ordered my favored sugar and spice latte (its the perfect mix of cinnamon, sugar, and throat warmth from what ever kind of chile is in it). I vowed to write a glowing review after work because I felt like the worlds worst human being for not having cash for a tip, especially when this lovely soul made my day, and also because the flavors at Dark Stone developed and unique, therefore it is quickly becoming my preference for when I need a quality coffee and either dont have the time to make one myself (or am having a treat yo self moment).
