I took my daughter who has always wanted to try gelato here. We absolutely loved our flavors (toasted marshmallow for me and banana for her).We came back for Italian sodas, which is where the lost star comes from. They were awful. If the rating was for the sodas alone, itd be a two.

Best not ice cream I ever tasted.

The guy who served us was super rude.. my son wanted a cone and he said he couldnt do that because the ice cream scoops were all dirty. I was super confused on why he didnt just wash it? Its also extremely pricey for what you get. Would NOT recommend to anyone.

Ill tell you what that young lady behind the counter was the best thing about the place, now dont get me wrong, the cookie dough gelato was great, but she made the trip memorable. (She loves me but dont tell her boyfriend 🤭😅😁😂 or my wife). We will definitely be coming back and bringing some friends to enjoy this wonderful little place.

Good prices for how great the gelatos are, with a variety of flavors. Really great atmosphere, the colors compliment each other, the set up of chairs and tables looks nice, and have big windows so natural light. Their staff is friendly and they have games to play while you eat.

Ive gone here twice now and its such an amazing place to get good gelato. Their coffee is also really really good! The employees are also really kind and patient. Definitely gonna become a regular here ❤👌 (also, love the hours sm!!)

To say the least, I felt awkward. She was not engaging at all. She seemed a bit rude.My family and I will NOT be going to these facilities EVER again. The experience we had on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the Battlefield Mall (mid-afternoon) was disappointing.At $10 for the price of 2 small cups, in my opinion, was a waste of money...especially with the rude service we received.May want to consider about having a staff meeting on a monthly, bi-weekly, or weekly basis. Talk about customer service skills.Good luck to those who venture to these locations. Hope you get service from employees who are friendly and happy to serve you.

I have always been a big fan of Maes. However, today I was about to walk into their Battlefield Mall location when I noticed that they have employees inside the store without wearing masks or any kind of face coverings. How is this possible during a pandemic and when face covering is mandatory for everyone in this county?

My 5 kids loved it. Lots of different flavors to choose from. Cool atmosphere.They should provide more napkins. The furniture needs a good cleaning.Despite that I would come back.

Great place to enjoy some smooth ice cream with our dogs. Employee was great and allowed us to bring our dogs into the facility and gave two pupper cones to our boys. Ice cream was great and approved by our pups! Will definitely be back!

Im visiting Springfield from London, England, and came in to Maes on a whim as it was a baking hot day. I had the red velvet; my wife chose the blood orange sorbet. Im a pastry chef and I eat a LOT of ice cream and gelato... and I can honestly say this is some of the best Ive ever had. Really wonderful flavours, not too sweet. Definitely recommend!!

Not too crowded, easy to find parking close by. The staff was super accommodating to a picky toddler. They even put her smaller scoop in a bigger cup, per my request, so she wouldnt make a huge mess. I LOVED the chocolate chili flavor. The bathroom signage is a pink ice cream cone and a blue ice cream cone (because we HAD to go to the pink ice cream bathroom). The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of napkins. Very kid friendly! Their coffee isnt bad either.

Good ice cream in town

Decided to stop here after going to lunch down the road. I thought the lady behind the counter was very courteous and clean-cut, but the restaurant needed tidying up. There were several toppings and items that have been left on the floor, the bathroom was out of soap, and about a quarter of the flavors were almost empty. What we did order was good, but not as creamy and smooth as I expected. I just thought the place was a little dingy in need of tidying up and cleaned up.

Nice little shop. Very friendly service. Reasonable prices. Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is the limited selection of flavors.

The staff was very amicable and willing to suggest different flavors and personal favorites to try. The guy working the counter even complimented my pronunciation of stracciatella. They have a well rounded selection of flavors and the blood orange sorbet stood out as a very bold and bright treat on a hot summer night. I will be dropping by again sometime to try some more.

Didnt know what Italian Ice cream was, now I do. Its not bad, and the place was really clean and staff was very friendly. Reccomend!

My friends and I are from out of town and drove through this part of the city on a whim tonight. The thought of gelato and coffee had us all drooling! The shop is good size with lots of exciting flavors! The young lady scooping tonight was so sweet and patient with us, even though we were making too many jokes and being unnecessarily loud (at least in my opinion lol). The gelato is delicious and extremely accurate tasting! I had pumpkin pie and cotton candy, a weird combination, I know. The lemon cookie and mango flavors go great together though! The coffee is great too! Id love to know the brand! We would love to come back, and do, actively, plan on it!

Loved the way the owners handled my situation! Very polite and understanding. Refunded and apologized, would love to go back as long as the employees revise the way they treat customers.

Good dessert but I don’t appreciate restaurants who refuse to provide water unless you pay for the overpriced water bottle.They have visible cups & a faucet. It’s not rocket science.

This was an awesome surprise after a wonderful play at the Landers Theater. A good variety and all made right there. Loved it!

Pretty good gelateria with plenty of flavors to choose from. Close to a lot of downtown eateries and venues so very easy to take a short walk for some desert.

Great variety of flavors. I prefer fruity and my wife loves chocolate. Personally, Blood Orange and Lemon are my favorites.

Owner is uber nice, the gelato is delicious. It was $9 for two and thats a good price since we got two flavors each. The spoons they come with are cool because they change color. This place deserves recognition.

Service was great, the gelato though, not so much. Serving sizes were incredibly small for the cost, the product was bland. Also, the couch to sit on was full of stains. Not impressed, would not recommend.

I really like this place. It has a great view of Walnut street. The inside has personality. Its cozy, its hip.The Gelato is delicious. A medium cup is four dollars and thats tax included. This medium cup will get you two scoops of Gelato, feel free to mix and match.Staff was super nice and friendly. Restaurant and bathroom were clean.There is one couch that is nice and comfortable. The other seating is metal backed chairs with soft cushion padding on the butt section.I have no complaints and cant wait to go again.PS I am biased towards great tasting Gelato.

Nice little dessert spot near the square. Small serving sizes are appropriate for gelaterias, so this place tries to stay true to the experience. Plenty of seating and open, light atmosphere in the store. The location and visibility make it great for a meet up spot. The gelato will disappoint real foodies, but its okay by local standards. Many uniquely American flavors like birthday cake are available. We went in July and the staff was not particularly friendly.

Gelato is okay, not any complex flavors like you would find at a well established store. Also the the music just makes you wanna die, its super depressing. I wouldnt recommend for a happy date night or for anything other than to sit, eat gelato and cry. We went at 7PM and they were out of multiple flavors.
