Friendly and great quilt shop whether for classes, fabric or machine maintenance!
Im not usually a review writer, but especially after having glanced at the other reviews here I thought this deserves an exception.I had called to make an appointment to bring my Bernina in for maintenance since I had heard I could get same day service here and its hard for me to be away from my machine too long. ;)Brad got started immediately and invited me to ask questions if I had any, so I stuck around to watch for a bit and found it so interesting that I ended up staying for the whole thing. Of course he got it running smoothly again, I expected that. But he also demonstrated features I was unsure about and showed me the best way to keep it up, never making me feel like a pest for asking so many questions.I walked out of there feeling like I had been to the salon for an overdue haircut - like a weight was lifted, fresh, and excited to try it out for myself when I got home. Now that I have a shop Im comfortable with, I certainly wont wait so long to have it serviced again.Regarding the shops service that others have mentioned: I, for one, appreciate being able to look around without someone constantly hovering. I found all the other employees to be available, responsive, and helpful as soon as I needed them. I appreciated the casual atmosphere and the large fabric selection. So many lovely things to choose from and tastefully presented.
Im not usually one to write reviews, let alone negative ones. I know everybody has a bad day every once in a while, but what I saw and heard needed to be shared. The owner is just a mean, hateful old lady. She was berating customers for shopping elsewhere. It didnt matter to her that they didnt have what they were looking for. She was just being mean and nasty to what appeared to be a long time customer. I can hardly imagine what she says when there arent other people around. The owner is the textbook definition of a Karen. I always try to keep my money local, but I would implore anyone reading this to take their money elsewhere, even if the elsewhere is a big box store. I will not be going back because of this disgraceful act. If she treats her customers this badly, maybe its time to retire.
Wonderful place to purchase a sewing machine. They even offer classes for those like me who dont know how to sew
Wow, what a delight! This is a beautiful, well lit, well-staffed store with stunning merchandise. From the moment I stepped in the door, I was hooked. Next time were in Springfield, Im coming back!
One can find Moda and other fabric brands in stock here, Sewing notions too. I had bought a small travel iron to go with me to quilt retreats only to find my dear husband had already bought one for me. They were quite happy with returning it with no qualms at all. If you forgot or lost the receipt, theyll be able to look up your purchases on the computer. The classes are fun and enjoyable. The ladies at desk have always treated me exceptionally well and Im always met with a friendly greeting upon entering the shop.
This shop is OUTSTANDING in customer service! They have answered calls on weekends, holidays, evenings, FaceTimed me through issues, and never make me feel like I’m ‘putting them out’. I even had a melt down, drove to the shop with my machine and they sat down beside me and walked me through my issue.I couldn’t ask for better service and follow up from a shop!AND they’ve gone over and above to serve during Covid through Live feeds, on line classes, discounts and shipping, etc. Great selection of fabrics and products! ❤️ Quilt Sampler!
Would be a 5, but prices are a little bit high. Great selection of fabric, patterns, etc
As usual great and informative. This shopping experience was very helpful.
Walked entire store and not one word was said to me. There was no prices on anything specifically in the sale room. I waited at the counter 5 minutes to checkout. No one came. I saw several eating.Selection was fabulous but service non existant. Wont go back.
Super nice. Got my first used machine from a friend. Went to this shop for supplies and general questions. The people there very knowledgeable about what to use and not. One of the service technicians came out and gave me run down of whats what, without me even asking. Super awesome people.
Wide range of quality fabric s. Sewing machines for sale and service available.
Brought in a vintage Kenmore for servicing & Jeff was FANTASTIC. He got my machine done in just a few hours & was kind enough to show me the basics of it (as I had no clue to any of it).I browsed around in the store & found a ton of awesome fabric. Shannon was extremely nice & helpful when I was checking out the machines they have on the floor. She really knows her stuff. I will be buying a new machine for all the bells & whistles my vintage one doesnt have & I will be buying it from these guys. Could not have had a better experience! Thank you! :)
I was in town for a dog show and I also love to quilt, so was excited to find a quilt shop close by. It was a nice, large, well stocked shop; but that’s the only good thing I have to say about it. I wandered through the whole shop and not one worker spoke to me. I asked a question as one came close, but was ignored. There were some lovely things I was interested in, but considering the lack of service, I decided to pass on them and look elsewhere.
Great customer service, excellent fabric selection, and very inspirational quilt shop!
Love them there!!! Super helpful, friendly and lots of projects and fabric to choose from. The classes are great too! Its the only place I go for my sewing/quilting and machine repair!!
Very unwelcoming. I went in to look at what they had and that was a big mistake. I looked through the whole store, and not one person said hi to me or asked if i needed anything. A group of older women were standing around eating and gossiping, and when i said hi excuse me to ask a question, one of them looked at me and walked off. On top of not being friendly, they are charging $11.99 + per yard for basic looking designs. NO THANK YOU!
Sadly I am disappointed! I have been to this store 3 times and have not been greeted or asked if I need help. I could go to a regular craft store if I wanted to wonder around aimlessly. I chose this store because they specialize in quilting. My mistake. :(
NOT an Elna repair center!!!!! Do NOT take your Elna embroidery machine here. I gave them a 2 stars because they were nice but although they say they service all makes of machines they are not an authorized Elna repair store. I purposely called before taking my machine in to make sure they could work on it and was told yes. After 2 weeks and 5 3 hour trips I finally got the machine back. They could not fix the problem I took it in for but found another problem which I was billed for. One of the trips was to pick the machine up. Their hours say open till 5. I drove an hour and a half just to get there and discover they closed early that day. Admittedly I was only there about 8 minutes to 5 but still a wasted trip. I was not the only unhappy customer as I pulled up a gentleman was trying the door, looking at the posted hours sign and glancing at his watch. Hopefully he lived close by and didnt waste 3 hours as I did. Another of my trips was to bring the embroidery head in. I had taken it on my first trip and was told they didnt need it. 4 days later they call and do]id need it. Not counting the trips to drop the machine off and pick it up I wasted 3 trips to Springfield that were their fault - 9 hours plus gas. I thought I should send THEM a bill.I have to add if you are looking for fun fabric and a great selection og machine embroidery threads this is a good shop.
A great place to go shopping with Your Mother for The Yellow Brick Road Pattern and Mystery Bags with Your Mother,Also,to scratch the Owners Dog Newman on the head!
Thank you for acknowledging my post, I changed it to 5 stars for the simple fact that you care, I believe there was a sign on the door that said u all were open and that was the confusion.
I took my embroidery machine to this shop today and Chris was great. He resolved the issue quickly and the machine works beautifully!
Singer Featherweight Maintenance Class--outstanding two hours with Brad who taught me so much about taking care of my own machine. Well worth the time
Took my sewing machine in for repair, $19.99 for the part, $160.00 labor charge. After having it for 10 days I get it home and it doesnt work at all. After a rather lengthy discusdion it was going to cost me another $350 . Needless to say, I wont be letting them service my sewing machine again.
When we went to this store we really loved it.
Had some unique fabric I cant find anywhere in town but the staff is pretty stuck up and unfriendly.
Greatest quilt spot hands down!!!
So nice and lots to choose from.
Always friendly and helpful.
Beware buying a new machine. Theyre closing the Tulsa store leaving customers with warranties on new machines high and dry, telling customers to mail a machine to Missouri for service AND to pay shipping TOO! Not a happy customer.
Very friedly and helpful
Such a huge selection!
Excellent shop.
This said it was open but wasnt.
