BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY – SCAMMERSI hired Level Pro Foundation to do foundation work on my home. Approximately 9 months after the work was done I began to notice cracks in my tile and sheet rock again. The company came to readjust the piers, approximately 9 months later there was additional damage. After multiple calls, the company came out to repair part of the damages, leaving a substantial amount of damages unrepaired.During the second repair, It was discovered that the company never pulled permits for the original work. The owner Randy Rose was double fined by the city for not pulling permits. Randy assured me he would come back out to finish the work once he could get everything straightened out with the city. After multiple calls and emails, Randy has now said I will need to pay him additional money to fix the damages caused by his company.I would also like to add, this company told me that they will only take payment in cash. Lee Preuss said they are able to keep their prices down by taking cash so they don’t have to pay taxes. This company is scamming individuals by not pulling permit and doing sub-par work, they are also scamming the government by not paying taxes.

What struck me about Level Pro Foundation Repair Inc. is how professional they were. Not only did they make me feel that my needs were a priority, but they also started on time and finished on that. Not a pleasant experience with this company. Several times I was assured that they would make good on a proposed contract but every time they failed to commit and complete. There was not a reason as to why they did not want to complete the work. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They were dishonest in their commitment to make good on their proposal.

My parents were a bit worried about the sudden appearance of cracks in their bedroom floor. Fortunately, I had Level Pro to take care of the problem and it was worth it. No more cracks were found. The service of the company is the best.

I am thoroughly impressed by their prowess for repairing houses. And I am going to use level pro foundation repair for my work, time and over again.

What I found when I contracted Level Pro to level my pier and beam foundation was that they lacked the ability to properly estimate the work required and they failed to perform their own Quality Assurance and do the work right the first time. They effectively communicated progress and listened to my concerns and negotiated a price reduction so I could fix the errorsWhen I decided to get my foundation leveled in September 2016, I was sure to get multiple quotes. Many of the quotes came it at what I anticipated the cost to be. Level Pro came in lower and I, being a novice contractor, went with the lowest bid (mistake number 1). My other mistake was to not walk through with Lee Preuss, the foreman, to go over my expectations and make sure we were exactly on the same page. Most of our conversations occurred over the phone (due to my busy schedule, I wasnt able to meet in person for the quote) and I was assured by Lee that he had the experience and this job would be no more difficult than any others.I should note that my house is pier and beam. Due to foundation settlement, one whole side of the house would need to be raised and floor joists needed replacement due to water/rot/termite damage. Also, the clearance between the joist and ground was very limited and all my quotes noted that dirt would need to be removed from under the house to make work go smoothly. This job would be no easy task for any contractor but was possible given enough time and money.I assumed too much and thought that Lee would realize this same fact (that dirt needed to be removed) and include it in the quote. It wasnt until after they started the job that Lee informed me his guys would need more time because they hadnt planned on removing all the dirt.Throughout the leveling process, I monitored the work and talked with Lee to help solve any unforeseen problems. Communication with Lee was one plus of Level Pro, as Lee was sure to keep me updated as to the schedule and work completed.However, I can confidently say as someone with residential construction experience and a degree in civil engineering, that the work that Level Pros crew completed was not good quality. I found joist that were replaced that had not been joined to old joists properly, shims were placed under joists that could potentially fail to provide appropriate bearing in the future (they were off center). Lee stated that termite guards would be placed under all new and replaced material, but after inspection, they were some places without guards.Many of these issue may seem minor, but from my experience in the construction industry, if you see a few things wrong or lacking in quality, there are more than likely other things you dont see that arent right either. All-in-all, either Lee, or his crew, did not provide quality construction and didnt check their work.During the final walk through, I pointed out many of these issues and concerns to Lee. He agreed that what I pointed out was a problem which begs me to wonder, was he not thoroughly checking the work of his crew, or was he pandering to me as the customer when he really did not have the experience to realize that these things were a problem. After asking Lee how many jobs he, as a foreman, was managing, he told me that it was close to 10. I dont remember the exact number, but I know it was more than 5 which is too many jobs for one foreman to be looking over at once!!Im hopeful that Lee was just overwhelmed with work and that is why he failed to notice the issues with my job before I had to point them out. But it is possible that he and his crew lack the experience and grit to provide quality work.I accept blame for not being diligent when reviewing bids for the job and walking through with Lee. I do not think however, that anyone should hire a company that doesnt check their work and take pride in providing the best to their customers the first time through. I also think that as a company, Level Pro is overworking their foreman, which forces them to provide lower quality work to more customers.

Beware Level Pro.In September 2014 the City of Missouri City held a public hearing regarding Level Pro and Randy Rose. The City found that “Randy Rose, individually, and dba Level Pro Home Services and Level Pro Foundation Repair engaged in repeated and continuing violations of the Missouri City Code; and that 25 violations of code requirement related solely to foundation repairs were established”.Due to this finding, the City revoked the Building Contractor Registration of Randy Rose, individually, and dba Level Pro Home Services and Level Pro Foundation Repair.If you live in Missouri City, be sure to check with the City regarding permits, inspections, etc.
