There is no shortage of praise that I have for Ana. She is a true expert of her craft - shes also fair, patient and maybe most importantly, a kind person. When I moved to the area from NYC I was in need of a master framer and designer, and I was not at all disappointed. Ana has helped me with various projects, some small and some big, but they have all been objectively successful. Im quite the harsh critic with regards to my expectations and attention to details, but would not hesitate to recommend this shop!

I unexpectedly discovered Deco, tucked away on Spring Street, just around the corner from Bedford St. in downtown Stamford. Im so glad that I did. During the summer and early fall, I have given Ana, the Deco owner, four pieces and enjoyed both her creative and technical frame making expertise as well as four beautifully framed pieces. The quality of the work is exceptional and the service has been impeccable.I highly recommend that you seek out this little shop for a very personal and totally satisfying experience.

We moved to Stamford last fall and needed to find a good framing place for some expensive art. When we found Ana and U&I, it was very clear this was our shop. Not only is Ana amazing with her knowledge and experience, but shes also incredibly invested in your project, to make it great. She does a wonderful job at showing you options and how they fit with your piece, as well as how something might not work. Its always from a place of true passion & mastery, which is very rare these days. Ana is a true artist and really spends time with the customer. I recently had a 5 x 10 tapestry that weighed over 75 pounds framed in the most beautiful & expert way. I took this particular tapestry to 3 other framing businesses and none of them would accommodate me. Ana took one look at it and simply said, no problem. Her team expertly stretched and mounted the tapestry and arranged for delivery to my home because of its large size. In addition to unique framing capabilities, you only need to walk through the door at her Spring Street gallery to realize the depth and beauty of her framing work on paintings, prints, drawings and photos. Anna was extremely helpful. She gave me tips and suggestions on how my diplomas and artwork can be best portrayed (I feel it’s because she’s an artist in real life she has an AMAZING eye for this!). Will definitely be coming again!

Have had 3 crewel embroidery pictures framed at U&I Deco. Their attention to detail and an eye for enhancing the pieces with color and texture through mats and frames has made these pieces pop. Will definitely be using their services again

I have worked with Ana for years framing all sorts of art work. She is by far, the best framer I have ever met. Anas keen eye for design, style and color enhances and illuminates the work she is presented with framing. She is easy to work with and listens to your requests with an open mind. I love U & I Deco. I do a lot of framing and most framers today have only the basic, plain vanilla moulding samples. U & I has a large and varied selection to fit any piece from simple to museum-worthy. Even more important, the owner Ana has a great sense of how to frame to bring out the best in a piece. The skill of framing to enhance an artwork is an art that not all framers have. Ana is also an artist and her artistic sensibility and sense of aesthetics enable her to make great suggestions. This framing and restoration shop is the best Ive used. The owner, being an artist and also having a great eye, offers very creative ideas for framing. The prices are very fair and ones budget is always respectfully kept in mind. There is no pressure and I received all the time needed to make the right choice. Aside from framing, Ive seen the before and after of restored pieces and their workmanship is outstanding. Its a not to miss shop that also has unusual artifacts and a very welcoming atmosphere.
