If I could 20stars I would first off I was a non appointment as these guys where slammed on Saturday but andrew did not let me walk I needed oil change and a tire repair while they did that come to find out I actually had a leaking shock on my 2014 mustang these guys not only fixed me up quick but I got a life time warranty on my suspension andrew & his team are again fantastic

Andrew & Jared are a dynamic duo in the car industry it’s like Iv known these guys for 20yrs when in reality I just met them I’m new to Stamford and needed some work done on my vehicle came to them got a bunch of work done price wasn’t terrible compared to others but because of there courtesy and manners they have earned my business for a very long time

Recently moved to the area, I needed some work done ASAP and Nick made it happen. He was professional and patient and explained everything to me. Dropped off my car and got it back the same day. Amazing service. Highly recommend.

These people, couldnt find a, what ended up being a bad wire. They charged me $5,000, for parts that werent needed. And took my truck for a test drive, with my camper, mind you I was headed north. And damaged my camper. Talk about kicking someone while theyre where down. I do not recommend going here, you can fix it yourself so much better.

I wish I could give them 0 stars but google doesnt let me, extremely bad and dishonest people, my daughter went their to get the oil change done and asked him to get the price to replace knock censor, Andrew tried to charge her $900 to replace the knock sensor for Honda civic which Greenwich Honda was charging $250, when I declined the service, he said I have to buy the part from him because he already ordered it and cannot return or take it back to the dealer, he also said part did cost him $350 which Greenwich Honda was charging $71, Andrew tried to over charge us at least $600 to replace the censor and on top of it he charged diagnostic fee which I never asked him to do any diagnostic on my car. I ended up paying him $250 to get my car back. Never going back to these dishonest people

Dishonest crooks!!!! My mother took her car in on Saturday to get her brakes fixed. They told her she needed all these things fixed and needed new parts all adding up to $963 and we’d have to wait til Monday because they didn’t have the parts. We took it to a different place and they only charged us $450 and we got it fixed same day. That’s DISGUSTING!! Midas on main st is 100% full of crooks trying to take advantage. Never go there

Dishonest. Went to change brake pads, but they found other issues with the car, for which they wanted to charge double what the dealership charges. Took the car to the dealership, strange sounds all of a sudden on the way there - Nope, all the parts are fine, there is no issue except Midas didnt secure the brake pads properly. Just terrible and greedy!

I was looking for an honest and dependable car repair service station that builds its reputation on doing honest car repairs and provide great customer service. I was fortunate to find Midas of Stamford. I needed a 40K service on my car which I knew if I took to the dealer I would have to shell out a lot of $$$. I spoke with Andrew and he was able to get me an appointment on the same day. Upon arriving at Midas Andrew was very professional and provided me with information regarding the service and approximate cost. Shortly after leaving my car Andrew contacted me and informed me that I needed breaks and provided me with a reasonable price for the work that I know was about 50% less than the dealer would have charged me. When I picked up the car, Andrew discussed the bill and answered all of my questions. Quick and redonable

Had my muffler (part 56233) replaced here in June 2017 with with a lifetime warranty. 2 years later I noticed a broken pipe directly attached to the muffler which according to Ford is a single piece. Brought my Escape back to Midas and the quoted repair was for a different part and double the price I paid originally. Attached two photos one of the damage and another of the Ford part. Seems like a broken part is the muffler to me!

Amazing staff there especially Andrew. he was very professional and helped me get my car back up from the ground i had to get alot done including brakes and rotors a new battery all fluids changed an alignment and my exhaust was rusted out. This Midas is the best Midas I have been too when I came in for an oil change EVERYONE had MASK. On and EVERYONE was CLEANING THE DOOR KNOBS AND THE COUNTERS the took me in with no problems they asked if I wanted a free check with my oil change and they had me done in 30 min top and they told me what was wrong with my car and Andrew took me and showed me everything that I needed to have done they gave me a quote it was a a bit much but with my experience soo far I told them to do it and then payed and left and I will be going back to them 😊😊😊

These guy are great! For a women I can telYou these guys are trust worthy they didn’t try to take advantage of me they physically brought me out to my car to show just what exactly needed to be taken care of! Ive been to alot of auto shops an repair facilities with both my bmw and subaru and time an time again the issues never got properly diagnosed or resolved. Id get a repair an have to go back 3 times or more to have same issue fixed or adjusted. Friends recommended i check out midas in stamford ct and so i did and the results were such well needed change of pace. From the moment i had my cars towed in for the diagnostic i was greeted with friendly faces an caring manors. The shop techs were Knowledgeable and the management staff was very accommodating. Best of all every repair i have had done here has been a one and done meaning that they diagnosed it correctly and repaired it properly and ive yet to have to return to have the same exact job done over again. Best off the cost was moderate to low compared to some of the other places ive been to. I would highly recommend for anyone to bring any vehicle they have to this location for service. I promise you wont regret it at all.

My scheduled appointment ran about 30 minutes without good reason. I agree with one of the other reviewers in that I literally witnessed the entire staff without a mask in the lobby, garage, and even saw the mechanic go into my car without a mask. The management should really look into this. Its very disappointing as a healthcare worker to see the lack of concern given. I will be going to another shop that follows protocols from now on.

Good place, good staffs serious business

Great honest people at the Stamford Midas. Since my wife and I started going there they have been honest and helpful. We were ripped off at a few other places and were told a couple of more things needed to be done. Andrew checked our cars and told us half of those jobs do not need to be done. Weve been going there ever since and never have any issues with the job that was done.

These people are very warm. They are very attentive to your problems and get it solved as soon as possible. Take your vehicles there youll be glad you did.

Andrew was incredibly helpful. came in for a much needed (and overdue) oil change and he knew exactly what i needed to get my engine running right. Made great suggestions and was very friendly

Andrew was able to get me an appointment within 15 minutes of calling. I initially went to Firestone, where I was quoted $1,600 for a job that Midas was able to do for less than HALF of that. Very reasonable prices, friendly employees, and quick and efficient work. Everything was done within a couple of hours.

Amazing experience, Andrew and his team are simply awesome ! I was referred to them by a coe worker... I needed a couple things fixed on my car including tires, they absolutely helped me with the whole process, remind you I live about 25-30 minutes away. I came into Midas about one month ago regarding a sound I heard in the front of the vehicle, Andrew (the manager) and his amazing team helped me to find out where the sound was coming from. They were very professional and communicated with me so I can better understand what was going on (remind you I have no knowledge in cars) I just wanted to say how thankful I am for their work !!

So expensive, they would take 500$ only to tell you only what the problem is, then they would say we do not know, we must examine more, so unprofessional for a place like them, I though they fix the car, but they end up taking money without fixing the car nor telling what the problem is. ALL the guys at Midas in Stamford are sweethearts, especially Andrew, their manager. They have fair prices, they do great work, and they are HONEST with you. They try to find the BEST solution for your car, you, and your situation. I had an issue with my AC, and Andrew worked hard to find out what the culprit was, and saved me a TON of money vs. had I taken my car elsewhere.I also take my car to the guys at Midas Stamford to get its regular service checkups. They are always efficient, well-priced, and fair. Not to mention, they are always in a great mood and friendly. Love it there.

Traveling from out of town to discover screw in front tire. The team at Midas was amazing. They pulled out the screw, discovered it had not compromised the tire and sent me on my way with no charge. Highly recommend!

This place was GREAT! I was really on a budget to get my brakes fixed and I came into MIDAS and the manager was so kind to me he knew I was on a budget he offered me all the financing options they had ( I did not get approved) but Andrew worked with me in order to get the job done iam super satisfied with the overall quality and the value these guy take in their customers.

I needed a quick oil change which was overdue. Although the shop was short on employees due to the snow storm, the manager asked me to wait and he would take care of it when a slot opened. Luck for me the wait was only 1.5 hours.I am very thankful for GREAT service with a smile.

Needed suspension on my vehicle this place was great! I went to 3 places prior to midas and it seemed like they where just trying to sell me something but Andrew and his team showed me everything that needed to be done to the car and prioritized what was urgent and what could wait! Best part is there struts are life time warranty

I was a little short on cash and the manager Andrew was able to help me get into a midas card witch really helped me out big time! They really care about customer safety at their place. I love this Midas. Sean, the manager, is terrific as are the mechanics. I brought my car in and had a tune-up, oil change and my brakes done without making an appointment and I didnt have to sit around for hours waiting for it and they have coupons so I wouldnt go anywhere else!

THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC! I NEEDED MY A SUSPENSION ISSUE FOUND THAT I WENT TO THE DEALER FOR THREE TIMES AND THEY KEPT TELLING ME NOTHING WAS WRONG! WITH IN 20MIN THE MIDAS GUYS FOUND IT AND GOT THE JOB DONE IN AND OUT! COULDNT OF ASKED FOR BETTER SERVICE 20STARS IF I COULD!

On October 31, 2018, I went to Midas to have a punctured tire replaced. I explicitly instructed them not to over tighten the lug bolts when they put the wheel back on. The invoice also clearly stated that I must return to this shop to check the wheel lug nut torque after 50 miles to confirm that the wheel remain tightened to manufacturer specification which is also as stated in the invoice as 88 Ft/Lbs.The same night after I drove 26 miles home, I tried to remove the wheel to put on winter wheel. I could not loosen one of the bolts. I have an impact wrench.The following day, Nov 1, 2018, I took the car back and asked them to loosen the bolt and tighten it to spec. I had driven about 50 miles at that point. They were supposed to check the torque of all bolts. They refused to torque it to spec as per the invoice and said it would cost me $26, and also made some excuse that something might had caused the bolt to seize and they cannot be responsible if the bolt got tighter after the car left their shop.I had done my own wheel swapping for years and had never had a seized bolt because I knew how to use a torque wrench.I refused to pay them for their incompetency. I took it to the Citgo shop on 355 W. Main Street, and asked them to loosen the bolt. They took out their big impact gun, and proceeded to strip the bolt head without being able to take the bolt off. The bolt was that tight.I then took the car back to BMW, they managed to remove the bolt, and replaced it with a new one, and torqued the bolt to spec.Needless to day, despite this Midas being two blocks from my office, I haven’t gone back since.

The car care and consulting that I have received from Sean and Fritz at this Midas has been incredible. I have taken both of my vehicles to this Midas many times, and the quality of care and expertise has been well above what I am used to experiencing at other locations. Recently, I had an issue with one of my vehicles that is a costly fix. With the help of Fritz and Sean, I was able to understand the issue completely, evaluate the risks and cost, and make the best plans for my vehicle repair schedule. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for quality vehicle repair from experienced professionals.

Went here yesterday for an alignment these guys got me in right away I was very happy with the service.

The waiting time was short, so they got a star. The job was done correctly, so they got the second star. Customer service over the phone was great and in person as well, but no more stars because they gave me a price on the phone and then they charged me more than what theyve promised and refused to lower the price (note that nothing else was wrong it was just a service). Not good!! I wouldnt had a problem if they wouldve said what they charged me but at least say the truth.

Went in with a non appointment they seemed really backed up but the manager and his team where able to help me out since Iam going to traveling on Monday they helped me out in a big jam! I will continue to do business with midas.

With Simon and Vincent having many years of experience as well as Sean and Eddie having great personalities, you can not go wrong. These men will only recommend what I need and never go overboard. I went in for an estimate. The tech was very courteous and professional. He pointed out all that needed to be done. Within mins I had my estimate and was told they had all the parts and could do the job now, and I would have my car in a few hours. Problem was the estimate was too high!!! If it werent for the high estimate I would have had the job done.

I arrived at 4:30pm for my arrive between 4:00pm-5:00PM online oil change reservation only to be told they knew nothing about it, that the corporate website often doesnt update the local branch, that they dont have the necessary filter. They went on to say if I call them directly to schedule an appointment, one not so close to closing time, I could come back tomorrow.Either the local branch is lying to avoid an end of day job or the website is a joke, maybe both. Regardless, they wasted my time, I wont be going back.

I had a great experience with Midas! I took my 2004 Porsche Cayenne in for an oil change. The person at the counter was very nice and he was able to get me in quickly. I was in and out in about 45 min! I highly recommend them and I will be bringing my car back for sure!

I had a very negative experience when I went to this Midas on May 3rd 2019. Basically before I went there I was driving on the highway and something fell off of a vehicle in front of me and damaged my flange between the y-pipe and the catalytic converter.I went to Midas I was giving an estimate of $1,398.40I told them I could not do that and would think about what to do.They then told me that because of the issue I cannot drive vehicle. I said I already drove it 30 or 40 miles on the highway getting to there... and they said I cant drive it. I said Im only going a mile away to a hotel that I was staying at. They said if I drive vehicle and its current condition that I could damage an oxygen sensor or even worse blow a valve on the engine and then Im looking at a $5,000 engine job.I said no matter what I cant do this job right now so let me think about it Im going to get a tow truck EtcI called a shop that I know in New York and told them what happened and they said I can drive no problem nothing to worry about and I could bring it to them on Monday or Tuesday etceteraThe shop that I brought it to said they can weld it somehow and it would cost 225 to fix.Of course the Midas in Stamford has a right to charge whatever prices they want. Also in their defense they were going to replace a y-pipe and a cat converter. The parts for that could be expensive especially at a retail location.The main complaint that I have is that they tried to scare me into doing a $1,400 job.Once they saw I was leaving they did say if i wanted to I could order parts myself elsewhere (online etc) and they would do labor for under 300.Basically you should probably always get a second opinion on these things.

I used to take my car to Bridgeport Pepboys and loved the service that I got from the service manager Andrew. He is very knowlegable and so helpful. I found out that he had moved to Midas in Stamford and I needed new tires. I drove all the way from East Haven to Stamford to get my tires done because of the service that he provides.
