We stopped here while driving back to home . The place is not so big but Don’t judge the book by its cover . The food is really good. Haven’t had such authentic indian dishes taste for while . The order service is very fast. The food was delicious . Would like to come back some time again. The price is very decent.

This is one of my favorite “go to” Indian spots in Southern Connecticut. The seasoning is on point… different seasonings for each dish, instead of a generic blend. The lunch special is generous, we usually order the fish which is available on the menu by the register and a side of channa saag. We have always been treated with kindness which matters significantly imo. There’s parking outside and the inner space is clean, cozy and laid back.

Great place, great food with a good service with a value for money. The place is not so big but is clean and well maintained. Portion size was also not bad.I’ve tried other Indian restaurants as well- and this beats them in a lot of areas and value for money.Paratha stuffing has a room for improvement - can’t complain about anything else.

The restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. Cant wait until we can eat there instead of getting take out.

Brought friends our second time. They were also impressed by the non-standard dishes, the clean taste, the friendly service, and the fact that the great majority of patrons are Indian. Excellent vegetarian options, including many unique, light appetizers. We will return and eat our way through the menu.

Appalled by the level of service and interest in their customers. Called in for a delivery and was told that he was too busy right now to take an order. I was then called back to be told that my home was 1 mile outside of their delivery area and to go to GrubHub. The person at the business didnt want to be bothered with my order. I actually told him, Do you enjoy being in business? which was met with silence. This is not the first time I had a negative experience, but one worth letting the world know about. Good Luck!

The ambience is good and the food is quite decent! The vada pav was very good and we havent eaten that kind in a while now. The pani puri is on the sweeter side, so if you want it spicy, do mention it to the waiter. The staff are very friendly and service was great. The portions sizes are not too huge. They have quite an interesting menu with both veg and non vegetarian options.

I found this place @ Stamford CT, during my visit last weekend.. When I enter I realized they just opened few days ago, which I could make out . Interior is awesome . And the menu they offer very limited, but this is what we Indians go for, I had their DAHI WADA, PAANI POORI, CHANNA JOR GARAM. All these, normally we dont find in any restaurants . Rajma Paratha is REAL KILLER . its a typical home style. While having a conversation with the chef, ( Lady ) which is very hard to find in Indian food joint. That makes lots of difference, that was the reason the PARATHA has that home touch.I always enjoy food made by ladies. I cant get to come there all the time, since I live in West Palm Beach FL. I`m sure Stamford town is lucky to have place like this. My good wishes to you all.

My wife and I recently moved to Stamford from NYC and have been on the hunt for restaurants that measure up to the ones in the City. While many of the restaurants in Stamford are okay or decent at best, we havent found anything that great. We have been passing by Dhabewala for the past few months and have been wanting to try it out. We finally had a chance to try it last night and are so glad we did. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Vada Pao to start, which was everything we could have wanted in an appetizer: a warm buttery bun with a potato mash and spices that reminded us why we love Indian food so much. We also ordered the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala along with the garlic naan and onion naan. It was all very tasty and we cant wait to go back to try their biryani and chicken tandoori. The service was great and the food came out very quickly. It was an all-around great experience and we cant wait to take our friends + family.

As a (very recent) transplant from the West Coast this was first dinner in Stamford, and the food was delicious. For context I received my food through DoorDash, and everything was still very warm/hot when I received it. The Naan bread (chili onion was my favorite!), the Aloo Baingan was super authentic and tasty, and the Baingan DA Bharta was some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Strongly recommend.

I like it. Good variety of North indian food. The goat biryani was a tad spicy for my American friend but the aloo tiki was fine and the cauliflower paratha was good. Went here once and it was a nice place, good food but just went today to place an order for dinner and had one of the worst experiences.I went and it said it was closed even though the hours say differently. Then a male, possibly one of the cooks because he wasnt dressed as a host or treated you like one, let me in and turned the closed sign to open. That was great and I appreciated it but then another guy comes in and gJust starts talking to the male who then completely ignores me and forgets about my order.I waited for a 5-10mins because I thought maybe this person was the owner or manager but realized probably not. I then placed the menu back and the male who let me in ask where I was going which I then responded with nevermind, Ill be ordering elsewhere. Not sure but might wait a while before i go back and continue going to elsewhere for my Indian and Pakistani cuisine

Delicious authentic north Indian food. I visited this place last night for dinner. Menu includes some of the amazing items that you dont find in a typical Indian restaurant --like Makke roti-sarson da saag, Matar pooris, gobi paratha, jhaal-muddhi, pav-bhaji, vada-pav, raajma-chawal, tundey ka kabab, pani-poori, jalebi...Last night we started off the order with hot ginger tea, tundey ka kabab and murgh tikka. And then we also had Makke roti-sarson da saag, Matar pooris, which was amazingly delicious. Makke roti-sarson da saag, Matar pooris are part of mini meals and definitely worth tasting. Finally we also had Chicken dum biryani and Jalebi. I would say, Biryani was by far one of the best that I have eaten in any connecticut Indian restaurant in past 5 yrs. It tastes like an authentic lucknowi dum biryani cooked in tandoor in clay pot with a beautiful presentation. Murgh Tikka was also delicious and tender enough to perfectly melt in your mouth. I would rate Tundey ka kabab, ginger tea and jalebi as average. Kebab could have been little more tender. The ginger tea lacked flavor and was served warm instead of hot. Jalebi was also not upto my expectation. The interiors is designed beautifully to give a dhaba feeling. The service was overall good however they need to employ better trained waiters. In a restaurant business, however small the place is service does play significant role after the food and ambience. The owner of place is very hospitable and personally attends to all the guests. Full marks to him for his new initiative.Good Luck !! :)
