The Name Fortunoff spoke of Class, Style and Impeccable Customer Service.Though Fortunoff is a shadow of its former self it’s name still carries the implication of all the above. The only thing is that it no longer lives up to the hype.I purchased items from the back yard store that were listed as available with imminent delivery dates of a couple of days to weeks (each and every item)Each item was delayed over and over again and continued to be advertised with misleading availability. One item that I now was informed will be available in January 2012 that was ordered in April was Advertised as late as Early August for Sept delivery. They run a total catfish with their advertisements. They have had 3k of my money with no ability to deliver due to supply line issues and were completely dishonest. There were many other options at other vendors from which I regretfully diverted my attention.No furniture the whole summer, and no assurance that it will be in for next season. Very surprising treatment from what I always perceived as a reputable company.Misinformation Creates Unrealistic Expectations. Disappointed is an understatement.

Keidon, the Sales Specialist, we worked with was so helpful and so knowledgeable. He took the time to work with us on different options for our patio and offered up great suggestions. He walked through maintenance and “insurance” plans. He was delightful and just so helpful.Fortunoff had a bunch of great options in the show room and we found a wonderful dining set and umbrella.

The sales person was very knowledgeable, courteous and serviceable. He took time to explain where different groups of items are located in the shop. He checked & explained what I can order if need be and how many were available.This young man deserves to be moved up the ladder for management position. Visited Fortunoffs Backyard Store in Stamford, CT . It was a wonderful experience. The selection was diverse enough that I found a beautiful set of deck furniture at an affordable price. The staff we kind and knowledgeable. They werent pushy at all. We were left to wander alone. When we were ready to ask questions, they were friendly and very attentive.Lots of really nice items for your decks and backyard. Very nice calm atmosphere.

She steered us in the perfect direction and we picked out furniture that was in stock and delivered within about 10 days. it came today as promised and the white glove service was just that! Furniture unpacked, set up, and all the packing materials removed. Fair price for excellent furniture. Hightly recommend.

We purchased some new outdoor furniture from the Stamford store to be delivered to Florida. The sales people were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately when the furniture was delivered is was not assembled and damaged. We wound up not excepting the delivery. Getting the credit took way to long and was not easy. A good sales experience turned into a bad customer satisfaction story. What a shame.

We were very fortunate to find the exact pieces we wanted for our backyard patio. Thanks to Keidon’s help we secured the earliest possible delivery and desired color as well.

We previously purchased a patio set which was delivered on 7/26/21. The table had some damage on one upper corner. We spoke with our salesperson Josette and provided photos of the damage. Josette immediately began working on getting us a replacement table.We also purchased a loveseat and chairs which was delivered on 7/31/21. We found that one of the seat cushions was damaged in transit. We again called Josette and sent photos of the cushion. Josette advised within 3 hours that she had arranged a replacement table and cushion to be delivered in less than a week.We are happy with the things we purchased at Fortunoff BYS. They are of good quality at a fair price. It’s unfortunate that there was damage to some items but the follow up customer service provided by Josette has been exemplary. I would not hesitate to buy outdoor items there again.

Josette was amazing and helpful. We lost all our furniture due to two oak trees falling on them. The lounger were all sold out Josette called all the stores that had one in stock and was able to arrange them all for delivery on the same day. She is kind, and listened as I vented about all the destruction that the storm caused to my yard. She was patient and helpful and now I was able to replace at the very least some of my outdoor furniture. I am very happy that I went to the store today and I will continue to shop here and personally will ask for Josette every time!

Greg in the Stamford store was unbelievably helpful. I wanted something very specific and he spent 20 minutes with me trying to find it. He even said he would build it when it arrived. I was extremely satisfied and would definately recommend Fortunoff to friends.

Friendly knowledgeable people and really great prices. There is so much to be said for shopping in a real store with real people and being able to touch and feel real merchandise before you buy it.

My experience at the Fortunoff Backyard Store was excellent. Initially the item I wanted to purchase was unavailable but the sales staff made a suggestion for an alternate item that wasnt on the floor but could be viewed in the catalog and it was perfect for what I needed. The visit turned from initial disappointment because what I wanted wasnt available to ultimately a very happy experience. Also, their website was much more customer-friendly that other patio furtniture sites who redirected me to manufacturers website catalogs or showed my names of manufacturers but didnt let me search using parameters that described what I was looking for, etc. Ultimately I closed at least 3 or 4 other sites because of the frustration of dealing with their websites. Fortunoffs website worked precisely the way I was wanting to search and they the in-store experience was terrific, turning initial disappointment into complete satisfaction. Now Im looking forward to the delivery of a patio table with 10 chairs and a huge umbrella that is exactly what I was looking to purchase. A great experiene!

They had a floor sample sale. The set we wanted was apparently not marked floor sample. But its out of stock so they couldnt order a new one. And they wouldnt let us buy the floor sample, because some screws were missing. Guess they couldnt order screws from the manufacturer?? SO WHY WAS THIS SET ON DISPLAY? Let us walk out when they had an easy sale.

Came into this location and wasnt acknowledged nor greeted today! Not a welcoming environment as I have previously shopped in the Yonkers, NY location. I felt ignored until a sales associate assisted me with a rude and belittling (racially targeted) comment. I was interested in purchasing a small patio set and in poor judgement he referred me to Target or Rite Aid! I didnt mention cost to him at all just size because our patio isnt large. I will be spending my money at another establishment that focuses on consumer needs instead of poor recommendations.

Very nice showroom. Street parking is tough on their block, cross your fingers. Suggest calling ahead to see how busy they are. Several times have had to wait to be assisted by a salesperson.

We purchased furniture in May. The furniture is already showing defects. We’ve reached out to the store and the corporate office time after time. The store manager is never onsite and he never returns calls. We finally were able to schedule a time for a replacement to be delivered. The delivery time came and went. No one called and no one showed. We are now having to work with American Express to dispute the charges. Please save yourself the aggravation. Go somewhere else.
