Overall, most everytime I go here, its clean and neat. Ive never had to wait very long in line to pay. Theres always assistance in the self- service checkouts. If I ask where something is, sunshine is always ready willing she able to help. Even walk me to find a few times! Excellent customer service!😁My only negative comment would be they dont restock items quick enough when low.For example, theyve been out of the flavor/brand of yogurt I prefer. As well as granola bars. 3 days in row.

Bought a bud light platinum in norwalk, but was shocked to find mold growth in the beer box after reaching home .. then returned and got refund ..

You better be sure to receive and check your receipt, cashiers here add the items you dont bring to the conveyer belt time to time. MISTAKE vs intentional? Nor so sure.

Sunday sept 5 2021 I asked the deli dept person if I could get ham freshly sliced. She said all the ham was out front in case pre sliced. I said can I please get ham sliced. She said you dont see what you want there. She came out to front of case and showed me the pre sliced ham. Why was I forced to get ham sliced on Sept 4th in pkg. Ham was thick sliced. I bought something I did not want. Total disregard for what the customer asked for. And deli clerk was not doing anything and I was only customer at the time.

Organized, clean, and very friendly. Lines are a bit long but the self check moves much faster than regular check out line. Glad to see they open up both sides of the entrance.

I sharp here all the time, and great having covered parking when the weather is bad. The store is extremely clean and well-maintained, Well stocked and never crowded. I highly recommend this Stop & Shop

Management stinks, and the worst of the worst employees are placed in this store. Rude and unhelpful employees are kept, and polite and hardworking ones are let go or transferred to another location

If you’re looking to join the crowd of people where masks are optional then this is the store for you. Customers in the checkout line with no masks being served. Customers in the aisles with no masks. Vendors stocking shelves with masks down on their chins. We’ve been in this pandemic for a year and I have never felt as unsafe as I did today. No management, no enforcement. I read through other reviews who mentioned the same thing and management’s response is ridiculous at best. They say they provide all employees with a mask and that’s where their responsibility ends. I wish this store cared more about health, the employees, the customers and the overall community.

Great variety. I live further north but grew up in Stamford and it was nice to see the different selections Stamford has compared to Bridgeport, Fairfield, north haven stores. especially excited to see the kombucha flavors! Cayenne! Woohoo! The organic aisle was robust with items as well. The prices were definitely higher than most. I was surprised at how little we got for $86! Place looked clean, easy to locate what I needed, clear signage. All in all a great shopping experience. But Im happy Im near an aldis and super Walmart!

First time at this Stop & Shop store in Stamford. It was nice and there were plenty of parking spots the customer service line was low and I didnt wait long at all No complaints here!

Never enough check out lines open. This is a sign of a store unable to control costs so it has to cut staff. If you are going to force customers to do self check out you should pay them for saving you labor expenses. Meat and produce both lacking in variety and quality. Dry goods has a decent selection. Seems to be more expensive than other Stop & Shops within 25 miles. This store seems to be perpetually under construction with aisles and location of products always changing.

Always easy to get in and get out. Produce is always fresh and good selection of products and like I said, I’m always in and out without issue.

It’s Stop & Shop. Does anyone really need a review of S&S? You stop, you shop. Is it the best? No. Is it the cheapest? No. But it gets the job done when you need to, you know, stop and perhaps shop.

The facility is huge With a lot of different sorts and variety, name brand food fresh vegetables and wholesome service, After I finish pay for food I thought it was expensive but when I use my savings card I really save a lot of money And thats a good value...

Good Store with a great selection. You can get everything you need in one stop. Sure you might not find your favorite brand of everything but during the pandemic one stop shopping is everything.We’ve purchased extra Pyrex baking pans there and we can even accommodate the vegetarian of the family with this store’s Variety of vegan meat replacements. Only 4 stars bc even at 7:30am (the only time I go) there are still people refusing to follow the one way traffic signs down the aisles which creates unnecessary contact with strangers. It’s such a simple thing and I wish it was enforced.

They changed all of the isles on the store around recently. The new layout makes no sense. I can only imagine they did this the force customers to actually walk up and down aisles to find things because even items that used to be in the same aisle are now separated and its just a confusing mess. the other thing to note is the signs at the end of each aisle dont show what is all the way down that aisle it only shows you what is halfway down that aisle and then you have to go to the signs on the other side to see what is the rest of the way down the aisle. as I noted you would only do something like this if you wanted to force people to walk up and down a child. Poor layout poor design.

Prices much higher than shoprite

Youre employees sent me on a more than 30 minute wild goose chase looking for prepared mashed potatoes. I guess your grocery store doesnt sell mashed potatoes. I should have saved myself time by going to the grocery store in newfield green. They actually are organized and have employees who know where things are.

This store is so ghetto, obviously it says online they close at 12 but the diluted workers are standing outside of the store gossiping and yelling at customers “STOP N SHOP IS CLOSED ITS OPEN TOMORROW”. It was 6 pm by the way.

Imagine my surprise to see employees stocking shelves with their nose and mouths exposed. It’s a free for all here with groups always blocking aisles and nobody enforces one way traffic so there is always someone in your space even though the store is humongous and this is easily avoidable. Management needs to step it up! The virus is raging and everything is so relaxed here. No good!

Cashiers have always been an issue at this Stop and Shop location. Today I was waiting on line with an elderly woman in front of me for a long period of time. After a long time waiting one of the cashier supervisors came over to the cashier and made her close the register and turn off the register light. They did not tell us they were closing and did not apologize for any inconvenience. The elderly women who looked to be in her 90’s was forced to go to another line and wait again for an extended period of time. I had to do the same in a different line. After waiting a long time again in the new line my new cashier scanned my products through and afterwards I noticed the belt was wet. Upon looking closer I realized the wet substance was actually blood from meat products of the customer before me and that my products had been dragged through it. Things like this have been an issues for years. Avoid this Stop and Shop if you can

North_of_town location in a busy shopping center with lots of other shopping, dining and lodging options all within walking distance. Stop& shop is a world_class company and whenever I have to shop for groceries I always find one and Im usually never disappointed.

It’s not a bad store at all except for 2 complaints:1. On multiple occasions I have had to point out to staff that several packages of tomatoes on display were covered in mold. I don’t think it’s unreasonable for the store to inspect the produce on a daily basis and throw away rotten/moldy produce.2. The deli counter can be painfully slow. It’s not due to a long line of customers; the workers just seem to be in absolutely no hurry, as it takes them an inordinate amount of time to find and cut what you ask for. Perhaps better oversight of the deli or an additional employee or two would help speed things along.

Store wasnt too crowded. However, they had run out of wipes at the front door, so I couldnt disinfect the cart handle. This has happened before. This really needs their attention.

Cashier Sean was really nice - great service. There was a Caribbean-American man handling the busy bottle return area all by himself, was a really helpful individual. There was a shorter African-American man pushing carts with a smile on his face as well, he brightened my day. Great job with the customer service training at this location - I live closer to the N. White Plains store but will give my business to this location from now on.

I purchased Sunset brand organic tomatoes @ $7.24, this is the worst! I’ve purchased all the tomatoes, whether it’s organic,on the vine, or otherwise..With the organic, you can’t see the entire tomato, because of the packaging, to tell if the whole bunch is good, there’s always 1 or 2 that are molded..The tomatoes on the vine, either some have a peculiar tase, or the core of it is hard as a rock..What I realize the they have in common, is that they’re from the same brand “SUNSET”, I wrote my complaint to the them, didn’t get a response....I will never buy this brand again, regardless of what this company produces, including their raisins..

This Stop n Shop is well stocked with essentials, specialty items, organic food. If you dont see what you need, like I did today 2x, the staff even went into storage to fulfill my request:)

Great place to shop

Good selection of items, including produce and the loyalty program savings are pretty great. Despite there being a good selection of cheeses and meats at the deli, I’m extremely disappointed to find that I have consistently been given the wrong item; I make a point of requesting Boars Head and I’m repeatedly being given a cheaper/low fat cheese. I thought it was human error at first, but now the label is being printed as BH when I can clearly tell from the consistency that it is not. Irritating if it’s just for me, but unacceptable given I am giving this to my son.

The best I like it

Please bring the Suja Juice kombucha back, with the Ashwaganda, Reishi mushrooms and Schizandra. It was my reason for stopping here and the ingredients were phenomenal, which are scientifically proven to reduce stress and improve functions in the body.

You can find almost everything what you need for everyday life. Not very clean but quality of goods and price are OK.

This weekend I made some routine purchases at this store. One of which was a store brand orange soda. Upon finally opening it 3 days later it had a funny taste and smell to it. My first thought was maybe it was the cup. So I tried a different cup, same result. Upon further looking at it the expiration date on the bottle was 8/22/18. I purchased this 10/26/19. Over a year after expiration and this product was still on their shelves. Its down right disgusting. Please check all your products before purchasing.

Nice place to get good groceries and fresh vegetables. They have very nice parking structures and very spacious store. Thye bake breads and birthday cakes too. Fruits, I felt are little pricey, but overall a nice place to shop your daily home needs.

Awful. Employees are rude, don’t even say hello or thank you. It’s a shame the won the strike because these people don’t even deserve what they were earning before the change. Can’t even count the number of times I’ve been ignored by their terrible staff. Forget trying to ask a question, they just look at you and walk away. There’s probably only two friendly employees, and one is mentally challenged. When your friendliest employee is one with a disability, you have a problem.Management probably is the cause of this. They have more business than they can shake a stick at, yet they don’t care for the store at all. The deli department had a fire in the rotisserie a few months ago because of just how much management and employees don’t give a damn about their store, their service, the goods they sell, or their customers. Corporate needs to do something about this.Cashier who just rang me up didn’t say a word, instead was checking her phone the whole time. Another occasion a group of the cashiers were yelling at each other about ‘I need a break’ and ‘why does she get to go on a break’ and some other nonsense. The front end experience is the same across the entire store. Want something from the bakery or meat counter? Same thing, they just look at you with a disgruntled look. I worked at a grocery store for 6 years. It’s really not that hard to say hello and thank you. Put a smile on your face and serve your customers well.Not sure who’s writing (or being paid to write!) these 5 star reviews saying ‘friendly’ or ‘clean’. The only thing true on those is that it’s convenient.

Quick stop, fast & easy!

I would never go back there. They only had 2 cashiers, backed up, and no fast cashier for 10-15 items. Sooo, essentially they force you to use their many self-checkout machines which are a nightmare. I am happy for them they can save on payroll but it is at the customers expense. Not good thinking. Very poor experience.

I shop here frequently because it is convenient. However, something has been bugging me for a long time. The customer service is terrible! Today I said Good Morning! to the checkout lady and she didnt respond at all. No Good Morning, not even Hi. She also did not say Have a good day or Thank you when I finished checking out. Not a word. And thats not the first time Ive been treated that way at this store. The only checkout person who provides decent customer service is Connie. I try to make sure I always go through her lane when she is there. Another thing is the people who restock the shelves will have all of their items and carts in the middle of the aisle. I have to either turn around and go back up the aisle to get out of it or ask them to move. Really?? There should be more thought concerning the customers in this place and there isnt. I have also had issues with the bakery. It can take them forever to just acknowledge you, (and they have seen you standing there) when you want to order something. I tried ordering a fruit tray once and when I came to pick it up they didnt have it and the guy responsible did not care. I also often hear the employees complaining about upper management in front of customers. So I guess maybe the employees arent happy and it shows in how they treat the customers. I am going to start shopping elsewhere.

This is stop and shop used to be the one of the best in Stamford by far ! The deli and fish counter The folks are always nice. Recently I moved downtown Stamford and this grocery store is within walking distance which makes it extremely convenient. After two weeks of shopping they’re i’m Done. Stop and shop in Stamford was never known for their costumer services but at the very least I feel that there bosses make them rush or they just hire especially at the front end don’t give a poop, I would lean towards the higher ups but who knows? I just moved from 1 mile away from my last location and I was in walking distance of a ShopRite I feel like almost every item in the store was a dollar cheaper to start in their customer service is amazing everyone in their store is a professional even the man mopping the floor. I am a single person who shops at a grocery store daily all the sales are geared like big box stores such as Costco where you could buy twice as much for half the price. This particular store and or chain is impactful for any single person or couple with reasonable appetites to shop at if value or customer service or in mindOne star for the deli and one star for fish department although their fish sucks
