I will be picking up my new ADV150 on Saturday the 29th can not wait. If you need a new or used bike or a generator or snow blower go to Stamford Motorsports and ask for Chris. I received a call from these people and when I called back I received the worst customer service. The guy who answered was likely under the influence. He wouldnt transfer me to someone who could help me and when I was transfered the person had hung up. All I wanted to do was verify that they made a mistake and someone hadnt used my identity(has happened before), never done business with these guys and honestly after the experience I had, I would go to California and have something shipped before I would deal with them again.

As all motorcycle enthusiasts know...it can be an arduous task to find a really good dealership with a comparable mechanic shop. Well, Stamford Motorsports puts an end to that search. I have to apologize to the people of Stamford Motor Sports! I wrote an unfair review without even calling them and giving them a chance. When I did talk to them I was shocked! Not only did they offer to come to my house and pick up the machine and give me my money back. They were willing to come to central New York 3 1/2 hours from there shop pick up the machine make repairs and bring it back! And if I wasn’t satisfied with the work would’ve given my money back. They drove 3 1/2 hours to my place took it back kept me apprised of what was going on, brought it back . Let me inspect it and try it out to make sure I was satisfied. Satisfied doesn’t’ t even cover it. What other dealer would Do that 3 1/2 hours each way twice!!! To make sure I was happy with my purchase. I’d give them 10 Stars if I could! Phenomenal Service!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ive been there twice for maintenance products for my old Honda and a helmet. Both times were very good experiences, so its my go to place for my bike needs. I havent used their service department yet so I cant comment on that since I work on my own vehicles. I would assume that theyre just a good as the sales department since speaking to a tech there was very enlightening and helpful beyond words.

My experience with SMS was the worst I have ever had with a professional organization. I needed the cases split on a 1990 KDX200 for a crank rebuild and was given a quote in the $600 range to split the cases and perform some simple while you are there additions such as install a new lighting coil and replace the spark plug. I was told it would be more because I brought them the entire engine. I didnt get a call with a revised price, only a call telling me it was ready with a $1080 price. When I showed up, I noticed there were NO yellow wires indicating the lighting coil was not installed. Greg said to me I didnt see a lighting coil when you dropped it off, so thats the end of the story on that. I made him pull up the work order which clearly stated Install new customer supplied lighting coil. In the 20 minutes it took for the mechanic to find my coil in the back, I removed the spark plug only to find it was the same plug the was in it when I blew the engine. So with 2 obvious external signs of incompetence, I installed the engine in my bike and wasnt too shocked when the compression was so low I couldnt get the engine to fire. I checked for spark, which was bright and blue, and I am reluctant to believe fuel is the problem with a brand new highly regarded RB designs carb, so once again the issue falls upon SMS lack of proficiency and neglect. I have zero trust in their mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and never even got an apology for Gregs hideous customer service. I am sending my engine off to Wisconsin for Eric Gorr to work his proven magic on at a much more affordable price along with superior customer service. If motorcycles are your passion, do yourself a favor and find a shop or mechanic who will take the time to correctly quote the work being performed, actually perform the work outlined, and treat you with the respect and service that paying customers deserve. At the very least, save yourself the frustration of letting SMS touch your beloved machine.

Not the best service by the owner of the shop. I was new to the area. I asked him if they price match to there competitor in West Hartford (New England Cycle) since I lived around the area. He said he does but he would have to call them him self to verify the price of the item. I was in the market for new tires for my R1. Well West Hartford had a deal $150 for rear Michelin tires. Once the owner called to verify the sale and the style of the tire, he got off the phone and said he wont price match for the low price. And the way he said it was rude. (I think its bull since he went back on his word). So I said I understand. I asked him if he could work with me and give me a deal since he couldnt price match. He said that he couldnt do anything for me. (Then why would he say that they do price match if you cant do anything for me?).Now its been 2 years since this issue and I havent went back to buy parts for my bike! Left a deposit over the phone on a Yamaha FZ8 after they posted it online. The 2 vague photos showed no damage and the salesman (Camilo) didn’t speak of any. After driving an hour and a half to get there I see it’s been dropped. Missing a decal. The suspension bottomed out causing damage to the swing arm (mr. salesman Incorrectly identified that as a “tire hugger” and thought it would be $100 and an hour to fix lol ya right) so I wondered if given this new info if they’d budge on the price. Of course the salesman couldn’t do anything despite omitting the bikes damage. We tried to call the manager. No answer. The owner? No answer. Was down south testing jet skis or some garbage. So anyone in charge leaves and can’t be reached; awesome management. I had already insured the bike in preparation of purchasing and came with a trailer. So Camilo said when owner returns in a few days I’ll hear from him to talk about getting some money back for the bike I’m stuck with. Of course I never heard from anyone. Already steered half a dozen friends away from there. I guess a few hundred bucks saved is worth more than thousands lost. Shop elsewhere. Management doesn’t give a damn about you or anyone only bottom line.

The sales were good and the bike prices dealership fare.It is the service prices that are bizarre. Last year I was quoted well over $300 above the cost for buying and putting on two tires. Now the key. I gave a dealer in Newhaven my vin number and personal info.
