The Walmart has removed the enter gates since my last visit here. It does still have the sanitizer stations at the entry and sanitize wipes right after the sliding doors which is nice. The store itself was overall what one would expect from a super market. Different supplies in designated sections. Peoples experiences will vary between what supplies one is looking for. In my case, I was quickly and easily able to both determine where what I was looking for would be located, and find what I needed to get. The part of the Walmart that sells food to eat was nice too. The employee gave me a nice portion of mashed potatoes and large chicken tenders in the to go box I requested. Very happy about that. The only downside I saw was for some of the food in the heating stands towards the registers, all the popcorn chicken and popcorn shrimp looked rather burnt. So if you are hungry and wanting to grab a quick snack, I might be wary of that. But otherwise it was a smooth experience.

Pharmacist cashiers and flu shot admin was polite and informative. Their masks help me know they respect the current modern health of our nation.

I enjoyed going up and down the aisle hunting for bargains. The produce is fresh with bright colors and so are the vegetables.

Very busy location, being in a college town. They have a good selection of MSU items. The return counter was under staffed when I was there, one person working counter and a line of 15 people trying to return items. Location was clean.

Yall need to fix the lights in the parking lot they have been out for over 3 weeks. This isnt safe for women nor children with how dark it is in the parking lot!!!!!! This makes it a target for human trafficers This needs to be addressed and fixed period. #SAVEOURCHILDREN

I didnt like that there was no cashier checking people out. I feel if I wanted to check out, I would get a job at Wamart. However, two sweet employees helped me.

I love WalMart! I can find items without being all over the store. Some of the workers greet friendly and some dont.

Alexa and Terry both were very customer focus and great to deal with. All for the tip; however neither one of them will except do that being company policy not to. Two great hires for Walmart.

Ran in for a few items at 8pm. There was 20 people in line at self checkout. No cashiers anywhere! If you needed assistance on the self check, you not only held up the line but could not find anyone to help. There was one person running the whole self checkout so you had to wait. Ridiculous!!! Be warned, if you go in close to 8 pm, plan to stand in line for awhile 😞 if I hadnt needed the few items I had, I would have walked out.

Overall it was a pretty good Walmart. The shelves were fully stocked and I was able to get everything on my list. The only negative that I noticed that removed one star is that there was a lot of trash in the parking lot. Also some of the carts were in bad shape but there were still others that were good enough to use and overall it was okay.

I thought I was ordering at Popeyes based off of the attitudes I was given from the lady in self checkout and the supervisor. If they cant solve your issue in 3 button clicks, you are 100% guaranteed an attitude. Thats a Walmart guarantee 💯

Need to train staff to work registers. I am a chef and business owner, not an underpaid cashier.

It is 12:18 pm on a Sunday. There are three registers open. I have been in line for over 40 minutes. Each line has 10 plus customers waiting. There is not a manager in site, and not a single employee has even a hint of urgency or an awareness that this is not acceptable. Absolutely pitiful!*updateIt took a total of 53 minutes from when I first got in line to the moment I walked out of the store.

Very big shopping center and very fast working cashiers

They never answer the phone no matter how many times you call or how long you call. You would think theyre busy helping customers yet theres only 2 registers open every day. Its like everyone is hiding out in the back or something. Every time i go there I see multiple employees standing together having conversation with each other about their life drama and gossiping and laughing meanwhile there’s 16 customers waiting in one register line. I’m really not understanding how 30 employees in one store can’t handle opening more than two registers or answering a phone call once every three years

Walmart in Starkville is still running low on inventory as far as food goes. Meat options tend to be limited. Plus size clothing tends to be on the limited side also. Its fairly clean and staff always seems to be helpful.

I came in for one item at 7:00 on a weekday night. I couldnt find an associate to help me find the item, so after 25 minutes I finally selected a substitute item and went to check out.All self check out lanes were closed. Only two cashiers were open, and they were in the middle of the store, as far from the exits as possible.When I got to the two cashier lanes, one had our out a lane closed sign. The other lane had four full shopping carts already waiting, and the line wasnt moving.I didnt have another 30 minutes to spend on one item, I didnt need it that bad.Wal-Mart:. Hire some cashiers, open the checkout lanes, and do business. Or, keep doing what you are doing, and watch Amazon takes all your customers. Personally I will go to Dollar General first, and then Amazon. Did you know Dollar General always gets customers checked out in less than ten minutes? And Amazon has free shipping that arrives in a day or so?Tighten up, Wal Mart.

One of the important place for starkville people. Price are reasonable. You can have almost everything what you need for your day to day life. You can visit the clearance section to get some offer. Highly recommend.

The burgers are ok but those little stick fries are dry and to salty have gotten better there about 3months ago service was good they were nice and courteous

Whoever is the general manager or assistant manager at the Walmart supercenter in Starkville Mississippi need to be RETRAINED on how to do the work schedule. I’m in the store now and there’s only two cashiers and the self checks are open but each one has a line back out in the isles with them curved around…… This is a college town (MSU) & the students are back in town.

Of all Walmarts Ive visited over the past 45 years, Id rank this one a solid C-. Employees on the floor avoid eye contact with customers, stand around either on their phones or talking with other employees. Cashier, relative to floor associates, was friendly-ish.

You have to shop around most of the people stocking and their huge carts; whereas in other WMs, they do scootch to the side and let you get what you want to buy or hand it to you. Most of the time if you cannot find something and ask someone they help you find it; however, I asked for help in Pharmacy from lady stocking and was told if I didnt see it they were probably out of stock. I would have assumed it was the product I asked for, but I heard her give 2 other customers the same reply while I was looking for mine. Otherwise, decent experience.

Love Starkville Walmart, but when people call to ask questions they need to learn to answer the phone. Its ridiculous, and not to answer an hang up on people. Talk about rude. Yall need better customer service!! I dont know who works up there, but you need new people!!

Friendly Staffs. My go to place for grocery shopping. Like most of the Walmarts their restrooms are also clean. They lady who is at the door greets really well. All in all, great customer service, good prices!

They were out of many of our items. They need to do better.

Having a store the size of 3 football fields with hundreds of customers inside calls for more than 2 checkout lines to be open. This is not the exception, but the rule. The last 2 times I tried to use self check out, I left yall more money than I should have. If Im going to pay more, Ill just go somewhere else to do it.

It is obvious that Walmart cares more about making people use the self check out then actually taking care of them. My wife, who recently had major back surgery decided to finally get out go to Walmart. Although it was difficult she tried. She has spent the last 30 minutes in one of two lines that are open. She just texted me and said there were still four people in front of her she has been in that line since 7 o’clock. So, she has never used the self check out before so she is stuck, and chronic pain, and crying trying to get out of Walmart.She has a 35 mile drive after that. I’m glad I told her to bring her pain medication with her. Walmart sucks

Had to ask five different workers for help before I received any. Three of which totally ignored me acting like I didnt hear me I mean you work for a place that deals with the public yet you ignore them to the point of not even returning a simple hello you might as well be stealing from the company youre working for in my opinion.if I could Id give staff 0 stars.. However there are a couple workers that really go the distance!

We were observing many vehicles that parked in the pick up area after we parked there getting their purchases. We were in pick-up slot 2. We had been waiting for an hour and a half after we got to Walmart to and were called and told our groceries were ready for pickup.Finally a young man, Terry Tate, came by and ask if we were waiting to pick up purchases and commented he had waited on 5 cars since we parked by the door, saying he would find our groceries immediately. And he did. We had been waiting for over a hour!Terry was a very alert, conscientious young man. Having hired a lot of people over the past 50+ years I recognize good employees, and Mr. Tate has initiative, takes action and would make a good manager.SincerelyDr. John Guyton

This five star review is for MAROW COLLINS!!! Every time I go to the supercenter I go to the self-checkout. And every time this young man is there he is so respectful. Very helpful, and very patient! tonight a older lady was at the self-checkout and she did not know how it worked. He stood right there beside her talk to her, and very respectfully and helped her until shes finished purchasing all of her items. there were so many people coming to him left and right about things that was happening with the machines he did not get upset he did not have an attitude! He just did his job and help each and every person as quickly as he possibly could. usually they have some people at the self-checkout that are rude. They have bad attitudes. They just give you a bad bad vibe every time you go into this shopping center. But I am always thrilled when I see this young man there because he makes you feel very welcome! And show so much appreciation to the customers. Whoever the manager is please give him a raise or a higher position because he deserves it! These are the type of individuals that needs to be working at this shopping center!

First night we arrived we were told we didnt have a reservation and it took an hour to find another hotel. Was told they were booked up through the weekend. However, on Thursday they had rooms.

The Walmart Supercenter in Columbus Mississippi never has nothing we need in stock the store became very filthy since covid-19 started and they need to clean that store up and remodel it how to drive to Starkville Mississippi to the Super Walmart there much cleaner and everything that we needed they had it so corporate needs to get on the Columbus Mississippi store to clean up their act because that store got very filthy I dont even like shopping there anymore

The girl in electronics was extremely helpful and polite.

They had everything I needed at a goid price.

The store is stocked really good. Its crowded but I found alot of things I like. They are not very friendly but I try to find things on my own because I am an associate in another store. They dont smile or offer help. If you ask they sometimes brush you off.

But I dont need to walk to other end to door to get to vechile. Im handicapped and its bad enough to walk in store to get a few items. Other than that its a clean store. By the way some of your workers must not know how to look for items. The other day I asked about an air fryer that ya had on shelf. Your worker told me that they did not have any. That was there for display only. I ask what cost was. She did Not know and had a scanner in her hand. I walked towards end of aisle and guess what I found, about 5 of those air fryers. Look before you tell a person wrong.

Long wait at the return counter, then 5 associates showed up but did not open another register. Didnt have most of what I went Walmart for in the first place. Planned to buy printer ink but the price was about $12 more than online at Office Depot so I didnt buy. Then upon checkout after shopping for other things, there were not enough cashiers open and again long lines. Altogether an unpleasant shopping experience.

A place where everything can be found

I’ve had two experiences at this store recently where I had to use the self check-out because of how few actual people there were to check you out. Over a week ago, the people who helped me were rude, as so many are. Last night when I went to check out with a cart full of items, I was told that there were no cash registers open. I told him I wanted a person to check me out. One young man offered to help me at the scan and go and I told him no I would just leave my full buggy there and leave because I wanted a person to check me out and that I had two experiences recently, (one in this store and one in Columbus,) that took me way longer than necessary to check out. So he opened up a cash register for me and checked me out himself, bless him! He ended up being very nice and understanding. Not only is Walmart showing a complete lack of care or appreciation for their customers, but also for their employees. It’s not fair for their employees to lose their jobs or to have to hear all the complaints from the customers for not having cash registers open, because it is definitely not their fault. But praise for the young man who helped me last night with a great attitude! We need more people like him!

Its a Walmart Supercenter... no surprises here. The people are friendly and the bathrooms are reasonably clean.

Some of the workers in starkville,ms walmart could use a class in customer service. If they hate there job maybe mcdonalds down the road would give them a shot! Or maybe not with their attitudes!

It’s 8:30 on a Saturday morning. Not ONE register open and only the market side of self checkout is open. The wait to self checkout only is backed up to the pharmacy.

I really dont have any complaints for the Starkville Walmart Supercenter. The establishment is the same as any other, and by that I mean it is decently clean and everything is usually stocked. I do however dislike the layout of some isles in the Walmart. Most stores have the exact same layout with the Office Supplies in the back near the electronics. This Walmart, however, keeps this section near Health & Beauty and The Garden Center. Employees are a neutral nice, but who can blame em? Other than that, its just like any other place.
