The Key lime pie frappe was AMAZING! I loved it sooo much, it wasn’t too sweet and it was perfectly tart just the way key lime pie flavors should be. I also tried the white chocolate raspberry macaroons which were pretty good as far as macaroons go, they were a little bigger than I’m accustomed to seeing for macaroons but not necessarily in a bad way

Smooth coffee served in a great atmosphere. The chocolate-covered espresso bean served on each cup of coffee was a nice touch. The cookies were great. My kids liked the eclectic decor which featured a dark blue wallpaper with gold stars, unique light fixtures and mostly white furniture. A very tempting selection of desserts and ice cream is available. We will definitely be back to try all of it.

Strange Brew is a very unique coffee shop that is full of character. I love they pack a one-two punch with their ice cream shop right beside it. Albino rhino, hot or cold, is my go to drink and when they have them, I always get a macaroon.

Amazing coffee, great atmosphere, and locally owned. If you’re looking for a great place to do work or have coffee with a friend, you should definitely stop in here. For many years I only drank coffee with lots of cream and sugar, but every time I go to Strange Brew I get a plain cup of one of their many unique brews. The coffee by itself is absolutely amazing, not to mention their delicious lattes. Far and above chain coffee houses, with all fresh baked pastries made everyday.In the evenings the space can get crowded with students doing work, but there is nothing bad in this. At these times there’s a hushed murmur of work being done that makes you feel all the more productive. Parking can be tricky to find, so if you can I recommend arriving before peak time (usually around 5 or 6) and snagging a table.

A bit on the slow side but this is the best coffee and Frappuccino’s by far!!!

This place was really cool!! This is one of the coffee shops near the MSU campus and so that was noticeable by the young folk on their laptops doing homework or studying.The staff were very nice and very skillful in making their drinks!! My raspberry mocha was the bomb, as we say in NYC 😎Would definitely recommend and go back :)

Best Coffee place ever! I tried the Dark Mocha It was awesome! Now dont get me started on the food they also have! The scones are terrific and the muffins are delicious! Would recommend to a friend 100%!

Good place for good coffee

The coffee is okay, but the servers are rude at both locations. Often met with a curt “what would you like”and then left with a rushed & mumbled you’re welcome (if that, even). Can’t say I’ve ever left feeling welcomed at Strange Brew. Really a shame since it’s a Starkville staple.

Best place for coffee in Mississippi and their baked goods are to die for. Everything is creative and tastes delicious! I can see why everyone says its a MSU tradition.

Strange Brew is a little bit quirky, a little more witty and a lot local which is what makes it a special Starkville mainstay. Blueberry Cobbler coffee is my personal favorite. Living in Nashville- the Brew definitely has an East Nash feel.

Coolest vibe and super friendly staff. I tried an iced s’mores latte and it was super yummy. Definitely try this place when you’re in town. It gets crowded with students studying, but don’t let that deter you. It’s what a cooler, hipster Central Perk wishes it was.

Ive gotten thr mocha there a few times there and its great. Nice little coffee shop atmosphere and nice workers. 11/10

The coffee and bakery items are great. Their coffee doesnt have a burned aftertaste like Starbucks and the atmosphere feels so much better than chains.

Best place in Starkville for coffee. They offer many house specialties. The darth mocha is the best mocha I have ever tasted. The cozy and laid back sitting arrangement is perfect for hanging out or anything. I have seen many students working on their home works/ projects sitting there.

Love the Ethiopian Dark roast and Southern Pecan Specialty coffee with sugar free Caramel and sugar free Vanilla plus heavy cream, mmmmmm good! Keep up the good work and Ill keep coming back. Shout out to Andrew on that Pecan coffee!

This place is an amazing local gem! They blow all the competition out of the water and I fear when I move nothing will satisfy my cravings quite like this place. Everything I have ever gotten has been phenomenal and its a must do while in starkvegas. Their snarky signs just add to the character that this place exudes.

Definitely the best coffee in Starkville. I recommend the Rainy Day. Their drive through can be slow sometimes so I would opt to go inside.

Good coffee, but not worth the wait. Expect it to take at least 20-30 minutes if there is anyone else in line.

First time customer. I simply ordered a black coffee, which was cold. I went back in the store and was offered to have it heated up. If coffee has sat in the thermos long enough to get cold it needs to be replaced. Furthermore, reheating coffee does not make the coffee taste fresh again, so it was not a good cup of coffee either way. Perhaps this was just a one time thing...I don’t want to discourage any one from trying Strange Brew. Overall, the cafe was clean, and had a nice atmosphere. The baked goods looked nice, but I did not try any first hand. All my friends rave about the specialty drinks. I’m sure they are great, but the regular coffee needs to be brewed well and served hot and fresh.

Absolutely the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to. Super customer service, amazing drinks, and they even have a drive through.🤩The only reason I’d hold back 5⭐️ is because the parking is super limited and it’s a huge pain getting in and out.Honestly though, it’s more than worth it to fight the traffic for Strange Brew. 🙌🏼

Stayed in Starkville for a short while and Strange Brew is a local gem that made the otherwise boring time I had bearable. Their espresso is the best Ive had in the US and I only ever ordered that or an Americano. Always good and hot and open late nights when everything else is long closed. Spent many hours here talking, reading and of course enjoying great coffee in a great atmosphere. Made it all that much harder to leave Starkville after having found this gem

Ive always enjoyed coming here for a quick coffee pick-up. They always have delicious flavor combinations, and if you dont like coffee, they have a good bit of non-coffee drink options. My personal favorite is the Albino Rhino, but if thats not your thing, I enjoy the Dark Knight as well.

Coffee is great, different variety of flavors that taste wonderful. Someone ordered me a Mug from them and I was completely unaware you couldn’t wash it in the dishwasher. (I always put my coffee mugs in the dishwasher even the ones like this one) I like to wash my stuff before I use it, so since my dishwasher was ready to start, I washed it with my other dishes.. When it was done the mug went from being totally awesome.. to just a plain mug. However when I contacted the company, they did reach out and now have offered to send me a new mug.Very nice of them, since it was my fault. I will definitely be more careful this time.

Way better than Starbucks! I had a hot mocha coffee with soy milk and it was perfect. The chocolate covered coffee bean they sit on the lid is a nice surprise.The atmosphere is great, the baristas are friendly, and the music playing in the background is at perfect volume. Def check this place out if youre in town!

The best coffee in Starkville/Starkvegas bar nine! They have whole bean coffee at a reasonable price. Specialty drinks like my favorite Mr. Wayne (as in John Wayne) which is white chocolate and butterscotch!

I didn’t know about this place until a lady I met on the plane suggested I go here. Mrs Stephanie Swedenburg Knight is the one who showed me. And I am really glad she did. The coffee is amazing and I love the decorations inside. I would recommend it to any MSU student or person living in the Starkville area.

Visited Starkville for the first time this weekend. I could not be more impressed with their quality of goods & customers service. Their Flat White was delicious & it was a proper Flat White. I also grabbed a bag of espresso so I could enjoy the Brew at home. Huge fan & cant wait to visit again soon.

I dont drink flavored coffee really ever. Their plain house brew is the finest coffee I have ever tasted bar none. If you want the greatest black coffee youve ever drank hit up Strange Brew, plain and simple.

I dont go inside much anymore because I dont want my children to disrupt the atmosphere, but I do drive through pretty often, or stop in when I refuel at their gas pumps. I dont usually like flavored brews, but Strange Brew does those right! My favorite is Jamaica Me Crazy, but all the ones Ive had are delicious--Blueberry Cobbler and Sweet Potato are some other flavors Ive had recently. At around $2 for a medium, you cant go wrong. They also have a good, simple tea selection if youre interested. By simple I mean that the green tea actually tastes like a delightful green tea with no weird, unwelcome flavors added. Overall, great prices with a friendly, creative owner and staff--you cant go wrong here.

Its small and dark, which doesnt mix well with my mild claustrophobia, especially since its popular with college students. Still the best coffee in Starkville though, and the best place for quirky, nerdy mugs. And they put a chocolate covered bean on every cup!

Strange Brew offers a unique variety of tea, coffee and treats in a fun enviornment. I certainly enjoy the humor and witty bits you can find throughout the entirety of the business. It is a very busy place. That being said, I feel like she could use a good scrubbing/dusting but I must say that’s trying HARD to find criticism for those who think there’s always room for improvement. Check them out in Tupelo as well! You won’t be sorry that you did!

Worst things are the parking and the awkward seating scattered throughout, however it is very nice in options. You can sit near 2 different windows, near the counter, or upstairs in general. I dont know about coffee, but they have a wide selection of drinks, I personally like the teas and sodas. They also have candied coffee beans, chewing gum, baked goods, and other edibles. Staff is generally always nice.

Strange Brew is the local coffee hotspot. If you like tea get the dojo or the London dog, however if you like coffee the albino squirrel is the house specialty! Now I must warn you the upstairs has comfy sitting places, and next door they own a creamery. Yes, both coffee and ice cream in one spot! P.S. some of the side cream is coffee flavored. Yes,get the best of both worlds. Please do check the place out while you are in town, it is worth it. Only downside is that the location is small.

Pulled up to the window and sat for over 5 minutes with no service or acknowledgement of even being there so I left. There were no inside customers. Drinks are great but the service is lacking. If you do get service, the servers act like you are an inconvenience.

I have lived in Starkville for five years and have been going to Strange Brew religiously since then. However, my past visits have been absolutely awful. The service has been terrible and no one has been very friendly. I have gone back inside after being in the drive thru to ask for things that the girls have forgotten. They have not made drinks Ive ordered and then just said sorry and never offered to make it right. I have asked for food to be warmed on more than one occasion and it has been cold. I always try choose local over chains, but looks like I am going to be a Starbucks regular now. Not sure what has happened within the last few months, but I wouldnt tell anyone to go here anymore, which is sad because it used to be a favorite.

Love this little shop. Always buy a couple bags of blueberry coffee whenever Im back home.

Its just a nice, independent coffee shop. People that live in Starkville swear by it (Ive only been there once but enjoyed it). Plus theres a Cold Stone Creamery connected to it. Great!

Theyre always so kind and have fast service. I come here on most days, usually through the drive thru. Sometimes the chai latte is a bit watered down, but 90% of the time, its perfect. If you bring a cup with you, you get 10¢ off your purchase. Doesnt sound like a lot, but I go there so often that Ive saved quite a bit. The owners have a wonderful sense of humour (which you can see by looking at the menu), and the place has such a wonderful atmosphere just in general. I love that they have a pay it forward wall where you can buy drinks in advance for future customers. I do wish they had some form of reward system, but its not necessary. Highly recommend it overall.
