After being arranged ahead of time the customer service agent gave my husband a hard time when he went to get his loaner car. He told him our 2020RAV4 hybrid that was coming in for a factory recall was no longer under warranty!!! The actual work done by the mechanics was good though.
Did not like that all my settings were turned off. I had to reset everything. My passenger side mirror was turned in had to stop and get out to reset.
Marvin got us the parts we needed and accommodated our timeline to get our vehicle serviced. Time and again the service department has set the standard for the best BMW service weve experienced anywhere in the world.
Micheal sold us both our vehicles....Tocoma and Rav. Rav is a small SUV that I look great driving,the Tocoma is a 5 speed that rides very smooth. Shifting is amazing. A great experience.

Bought a tacoma from a dealership hours away .the techs there have admitted there was an issue with the vehicle and have tried a few things to fix it .they told me since their dealership was so far away that i could go to a dealership closer to me bc of the distance .a toyota dealership is a toyota dealership.i could go anywhere i wish..i call joelconfer and spoke to a senior tech and poured my heart out about my struggles. .i wanted to bring my truck to them and let them take a look...the guy kept fighting me on it and telling me to just go back to where I bought it??? All I wanted was their opinion and to save the gas and time of driving 4 hours .I bought a toyota because of the reliability and thought the experience would be better....

Sales and service at Joel Confer are the best Ive ever experienced over by 55 years of driving while living in a dozen different cities. My experience with other dealerships has frequently been very negative but you can give these folks your full confidence.
Five Stars for Dale H. in Service. Im a long-time customer at Confer and recent had bearings in both front wheels and the axle repaired--not a cheap service. My car drove fine for a day, when all of the sudden, a loud knocking sound came from my left tire when coasting. The service department was closed, but fortunately I was able to get Dales personal number. I contacted him, explained the problem, and he actually told me to come over to his home where he fixed the problem. The lugnuts on the left tire were loose. Although I lost $150 because of a missed work assignment in the morning, I was able to drive for work the rest of the day. A simple procedure of tightening the lugnuts sufficiently nearly cost me a weekends worth of work--right after paying for a very expensive repair. Dale saved not only the day, but my travel plans for Thanksgiving as well.
I have been trying to get through to Toyota service all day to schedule an appointment.I let a call back message and that did work. If they are too busy to answer the phone or call back they need more help. I’ve been dealing with Joel Confer for at least 20 years...maybe it’s time for a change.

This place is just like all other dealers, they tried to get my wife to pay for a thousand dollars worth of lights and breaks for an inspection sticker... I am not sure what there lights and breaks are made of but I think it might be gold for that price... I understand that breaks may cost a bit more, but 3 bulbs and new breaks on the front dont cost that much... not happy at all with the way they try to con you into paying a high price for inexpensive repairs... nm
Joel Confer Toyota sales and service is always exceptional. They always accommodate my needs and make everything easy. I have never had an unreasonable bill. It is easy to get a fair price on buying a car or truck and then the service follow up is always awesome. I have never questioned a bill in 15 years.They set the standard for exceptional service.
Not very impressed with the customer service, not sure if I would buy a new car from them based on my service experience. I give some leeway due to covid-19 but they made using there service department extremely difficult. Hopefully they have regained some control and reduced the issues, Ill give it one more try and update my review.

The scheduled service repairs for my Toyota were flawless. From the beginning when Confer explained the parts would need to be ordered and could take several months to the call advising me parts arrived. The service writers were in continual contact of repairs and of any repairs that could be, not required, made in conjunction while scheduled repairs were being made. The entire maintenance team made the process in a timely and professional manner. I would like to add the tech who performed the repairs, from what I see did an excellent job. It was an experience every customer wants to have when they have their vehicle repaired, no surprises on repair costs and the final repair meets expectations. Excellent job by all, thanks for everyones time.

I usually dont write reviews but the customer service was so bad I have to say something. I initially called Joel Confer service a couple of weeks ago. After several rings for the service department I was transferred to an answering machine where I was directed to leave a message. I did. No one called back. I called again a few days ago. Same thing. Several rings then voicemail, I left another message. Two hours after that I called back. I explained to the person answering the phone what I experienced twice. Instead of making sure I was transferred to a real person, I went through the same run-around. Several rings, voicemail. It is now three days later and I still have not received a call back on either message I left. This dealership obviously does not want my business. I dont want to deal with them anymore either. Instead, I am giving them an appropriate review for their poor effort.
Dont know much about the sales end but the service end is top notch. Brian knows his stuff. Definitely the go to man.

Great experience.That car ended with a broken passenger side window and they kept it inside while the window was ordered and replaced.Today I took my new to me Prius in with a vibration and they made an appointment for tomorrow morning knowing I was running up against the warranty expiration.They are always willing to answer question and do research to help.Good people doing good things.

Melissa our sales consultant was a breeze to work with, dependable and extremely helpful. The service department was terrific in digging around for us to see if there were some warranties that could help us with our previous car experiencing transmission issues. Cory Confer was very pleasant with the whole family and assisted in the purchase. Over the years, I have used Confer Toyota for servicing a number of my vehicles. They have a very good service department. Brian Campbell, in particular, has been very customer oriented and consistently has provided reliable information on what work has to be done, what the cost of the work will be, and the approximate wait time.
I have been having my car serviced here for several years now and am always satisfied with the quality of the service and the professional and friendly attitude of the staff. Shuttle service is very helpful and free of charge. One can also rent a car for a very reasonable rate in the unlikely circumstance that the service takes more than a day.
The service department was professional and did a fine job the time I stopped in with the wifes Toyota.So I stopped in when looking for a newer vehicle. I dont give the appearance of an upwardly mobile millennial so the best the sales department could manage was the poor relative treatment. When I asked one of the head honchos if my mechanic could look at the (used) car I might have been interested in, he all but argued with me. Something to hide, Im wondering? Hmm. So I bought a really nice Nissan at a different dealer. My down payment was half the price. Nice job, sales guys!
I generally liked my experience. We have bought 4 vehicles here. But the service Department could use some work. We bought something else from state college motors this time and it was a completely different experience from start to end. I hope they get better because Toyota makes a very nice product, and the people over there are pretty good to work with on the sales side

We did not purchase a car from this dealership, but I just wanted to comment on their service during our search. We visited several dealerships in State College, and we weren’t impressed with any except Toyota. As soon as we walked on the lot, Michael greeted us and immediately asked us to come in and take a look at their indoor showroom (it was snowing and we had 2 kids with us). He was so polite and helpful. He told us that as soon as we knew what we wanted, he would personally get it for us within 48 hours. I believe in praising customer service when it is deserved, and Toyota definitely deserves it!

My husband and I took his 2018 Tacoma Offroad here for an oil change. The service was quick, but we were faced with quite an attitude from the service rep who checked us in. When my husband made the appointment over the phone, he was told it was for 11am. However, when we got there today, we were told his appointment had actually been scheduled for 10am, and were given some grief for not knowing that, despite the fact that they had not once sent out any appointment confirmations, nor received any calls about being late for the supposed appointment time. This is not the first time weve had issues with this particular rep either...the same gentleman has made snide comments and berated my husband for the modifications hes made to a truck HE PURCHASED. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Joel Confer Toyota...not for servicing, and not for future purchases. Customer service definitely leaves something to be desired.
The best place to buy a BMW in PA. Ron and his sales staff are very welcoming and know all you need to know about your car. The service department is great too. Buying a car at Joel Confer was stress free, they treat you like family. I appreciate all the time they took from Ron with the purchase, to Dan in fianance, to Steve explaining all functions of the car. Ron made special time for me to have satellite radio downloaded into the car, not to mention explaining every step of the way as they installed the radio. Steve took the time to help me order the all weather mats for my car and the service department was very nice and helpful. Ron and his staff have exceptional customer service.

Brought my BMW X5M there to get it serviced regarding a warning light chassis issue. The first day it took them the whole day to supposedly figure out what was wrong with it and told me they cannot finish it that day since it will take another 4 hours so we rescheduled a later date.We brought it in on the scheduled time and date. The whole day went by and they never called. Nothing. By the time I called, they were closed. They didnt even call me to pick it up at the end of the day! The next morning I called and they said they are still working on it. This time I had to keep calling to get a status update. By the end of the day I had to call them to find out they finished and that it was ready to to be picked up.When I picked up my vehicle, I noticed there was over 40 miles added on my car! Note that this is a fully loaded car practically brand new and hardly any mileage on it. The first time I visited the place I noticed their poor selection of cars and certainly does not have anything close to my car so I can only guess that they decided to take my car out for a test drive and play with it instead of fixing it right away! I will never bring my cars here ever again. Id rather drive to Harrisburg or something next time I buy a BMW or have it serviced.

I booked my car in 2 weeks before the scheduled date and selected numerous services such as oil change, check/adjust brakes, electrical service, tire rotation and believed that was what i was getting done when I checked my car in and reviewed the slip. The main point was to replace a warranty airbag that Toyota had recalled.When I picked up my car the only thing they had done was the warranty airbag replacement. I am exceptionally disappointed at this service as I have proof of all the services I requested. Now I cannot be mad because I did not have to pay anything, but I lost work time to take my car in and did not get 95% of the services I requested.
My son and I just purchased a new BMW M2 from the BMW dealership. Ron Rehmeyer, the Center Operator, was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. Even though he was not always physically at the store, he checked his emails often and promptly got back to us whenever we had any questions. Because we had to drive several hours to get to the dealership, he even made it possible for us to pick up the car outside of his normal works hours. I highly recommend this dealership if you are interested in new or used BMW automobiles.

I recently purchased a used BMW X5 that just came off of a two year lease. Mark Noel rolled out the red carpet for my wife and I right off the bat and really helped ensure we knew exactly what we wanted when purchasing a BMW. He really stressed the benefits that I wanted to get out of it and clearly displayed the functionality of the car. I love it. Mark also came to my house to drop off a few items for the car and set up my garage door opener to sync with the car, what a nice guy! I would highly recommend Joel Confer and Mark to anyone looking for a new and/or used vehicle. Marks coworker Steve also does a good job and with a little more experience and metoring from Mark, can be a great salesman, he already has a great personality.
Toyota part of the business has horrible attitude in the service department. On two different occasions some guy behind the service counter likes to give attitude, does not know how to deal with people, just a RUDE service man in a white shirt.I suggest that management replace the clown.or send him to training on how to deal with customers. The dealer I used to deal with in Hatfield, Pa. had a great service department Never would do what I experienced at Confer Toyota. Never again. I was able to have my work done that same day at a Toyota dealer in Sellinsgrove, the one hour drive was worth it.
Ive been thinking about how to summarize my relationship with Joel Confer BMW over the past nearly 35 years, and believe the best way to do this is to simply say I picked up my fifteenth BMW from them last December. I would not have done this had they not been professional and fair in all ways.Joel Confer’s service department has been used exclusively for these vehicles, and others of mine as well. Not once have I felt as if I did not get treated fairly.I have recommended Joel Confer BMW to many friends over the years, and will continue to do so.

I had a general service to my car 35000 miles. They called me and told me i needed a cabin air filter an engine air filter replacement. I said okay. When I got to the dealer they said it was an $82 to change engine and cabin air filter. With vacuum service to vent.... Said it takes a half hour to do. I can it all in five minutes. Intake vent was still covered in leaves. Unacceptable!
Ive bought new from these people and am completely happy with both the car and the buying experience. A bit pricey for repairs, but most dealers are. The body shop is another story. Work is good but prices are steep. If I were in the market for a new or used car, this is the first place Id visit and probably the last. Toyotas are comfortingly boring. Thats the kind of boring I like. Theyre also comfortingly reliable and thats standard on everything they sell.

Dropped my Sienna off at 8 am, told rep I was waiting, he said it would be an hour and a half. Its an hour later and my van is still sitting in the lot!!! My time is as valuable as anyones.
I had multiple on going problems with the colision centers work they did on my vehicle after an accident 9 months ago. The first two issues where resolved quickly but the most recent one is taking longer. The staff was friendly with me when dealing with the issues but I cant say Im happy with the original work, had there mechanics taken the time to make sure things where properly put back together we would not be having all these issues now.

Earlier this week I took my 2006 Toyota Camry to replace front passenger side window glass. The glue that holds the glass to the regulator gave way, as a result the glass got separated and came out in one piece. The genius at Confer Toyota even after seeing the entire glass separated, was not sure if it was the regulator or the glass that had to be changed. And without even opening the door to find the real cause, he charged me $43.00 and gave me a quote for $398.00 (before taxes) for glass replacement. And guess what. I got the glass changed from the local guy for half the price and he did as good a job.It is always a dumb idea to take your car to a dealership for repairs.

It’s frustrating JC Toyota doesn’t provide a rental for recall service work. I was told the service would take 1.5 hours for my Corolla’s CVT test and it ended up taking 3. Additionally, they only have one shuttle servicing the entire area. Very inconvenient.
I had given the dealership two tries before giving it the low rating. The first time I went in I asked to see their RAV4s and wanted more information on the features they would have. The salesman was very little help and told me of the cute air vents. Which told me one of three things: the car had no features (which I could see by sitting in the car was incorrect), he had zero knowledge of the car, or he was a patronizing misogynist. I ended up buying a 2016 RAV4 elsewhere. The setting to turn the overhead lights on upon opening the door was turned off. I went into the service station where the desk clerk had asked several times if I had moved the switch to turn them on. To which I replied I had and continued to have them disbelieve that I just didnt have it on the correct setting until another gentleman had told the clerk that I was indeed telling the truth. They told me they didnt know what they could do for me and they would have to hook up the computer to the car. Before paying I looked into the drivers manual luckily to find out it is a simple setting that can be done on the dash screen. Between the embarrassing lack of customer service, professionalism, and clear lack of knowledge I will not be returning until they can rework or retrain some of their staff.
