Not a bad store. Some times feels more picked over than the other store in State College but still a clean, simple shopping experience.

As Walmarts go, this one isn’t bad. Usually relatively clean and the addition of the self checkouts makes it not quite so much of a nightmare to get out of the store anymore. The produce at this location is unbeatable - I started doing my grocery shopping here after being disappointed by Wegman’s produce one too many times and I don’t think I’ll go back. Not a fan of the new flooring, or the weird aisle setup that makes it impossible to find what you’re looking for without walking down every single aisle, but for a one stop shop this is the place to go.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but for this specific incident, I felt the need to. The employee in the wheel chair at the self checkout closest to the pharmacy is very degrading and very rude. She has an attitude and needs better training when dealing with customers.

Stopped by the North Atherton Street store last evening at approximately 9:40 pm to return an item I purchased at that store a couple days previous. Store is open until 11:00 pm however was advised, by an employee, customer service closes at 8:00 pm hence no returns after that time. Left there and drove to the Benner Pike store and customer service was open. They rapidly assisted me with my return.

Convenient stop and I like that you can check online for merchandise in stock. Masks were encouraged and free masks were offered to those not wearing them.

I’m still in the check out line since 12:12, cool story. This is the second time it was like this in a months span.. I’ve only been here twice in that time.. spend the extra 20 mins and go to the benner pike. It’s is 12:22 of posting this

Worst experience Ive had in this Walmart. Literally one jar of sauce I wanted on the shelf. Though as I walked around the store I noticed associates standing around. And when I went to check out I went to the self check out, which truly you dont have a choice since theres only one or two registers open. But as i stood in line for 5 mins after about two mins, I noticed a different customer ask the person who was running the self check out area for assistance. This associate was doing something on their phone, she raised a finger as to indicate Ill be there or give me a second. The customer was still standing at the register waiting for assistance, when I was walking away after my register after I finished checking out my items.I know that its a world where everyone has a phone and is connected.But lousy customer service like this is more about poor management.Something I was taught in my first leadership roll. If you let them get away with it, then theyll continue to do it.

Lines were back the store, very slow, not sure my cashier even spoke, pretty sure AC was out cause all the coolers and deli was blocked off .shelves very empty. Found nothing I needed. And still somehow spent 40 no idea. For a few things. Maybe its the covid idk but they maybe should have just closed. Anyone worked that store yesterday Im surprised they didnt quit or have a heat stroke.

Super clean, very organized. The employees are very kind and helpful. So much selection in every item.

I dont care for the layout they have. The health and beauty sections is on the left hand side and food and groceries are on the far right of the store and the clothing is besides the groceries. Just not practical to me.

Great place. Huge facility with lot of stuff to buy. Very spacious Walmart I have seen in the recent past.

Used the pickup service. Very easy to use. Person who bought groceries to my car was very nice.

1 star less because mostly important things are out of stock otherwise its great.

Never enough registers open. They are always reorganizing and changing the location of items. They seem to have gotten rid of or hidden away all of the small shopping carts. Overall, a poor shopping experience.

A standard Walmart. Things are cheap and plentiful. Beware of back to school as the place will be swamped with college students. Dont expect the best customer service though. Its average at best.

Many customers were maskless even though they were provided. Felt bad for the employees that had to endure such selfishness. I will not return.

Waited in line to check out for 15 minutes. Only had four check out open. Lines were 20-30 people deep.Shelves were empty. Worst Wal Mart I was ever in.

Wal-Mart is Wal-Mart, but its been changing because they have employees shopping for customers that are to lazy to shop for themselves now AND people stocking shelves. So even if its not busy; its still BUSY and it sucks!

Came in last night looking for a modem. The electronics area was closed by the time I arrived so I asked an employee if it would still be possible to get a modem from one of the cases. The employee was very helpful and directed me to someone who was able to help me. This was an absolute life saver!Big shout outs to the woman who was working at register 15! I didnt mark down her name (oops!) but from what I remember she was wearing a unicorn headband with ears and a horn. Thanks again!

Ever since their remodelling, the aisles are very cramped and its pretty confusing, trying to navigate through there (North Atherton). The associated always seem miserable at the self checkout lanes, and bothered if asked for assistance. Most of the other employees seem pretty friendly and helpful, though. Hate that its only open until 11pm now, instead of 24 hours. Huge disappointment.

Walmart was clean and had the materials I was looking for. They are less prolific in the New England states, but worth seeing geographic differences.

This store is a rather large super center. They just finished a renovation and it looks amazing!

I will NEVER return to this Walmart. I was harassed and berated by a self checkout worker. I tried to purchase a can of Rust-Oleum rust preventer. When I scanned it, it asked for my ask. I was 17. I was unaware that there was a age requirement, which by the way was NOT marked anywhere.Instead of being told professionally that I wasnt able to purchase this item, I was screamed at and verbally accosted for 5 minutes by an employee.You should be ashamed of how you treat your customers.

We entered through the garden center and went past a gentleman sitting in a chair....my 71 year old mother was with me and as we went past him he shouts at her that this entrance was only for employees...she proceeded to ask him what he said...he repeated it several times....I was 20 feet ahead of her and I yelled back just come mom were already in the store....all we wanted was too spend money... Apparently we should of went somewhere else...🤔oh yeah we did Ollies... didnt have a single problem there....

WISH THEY HAD 0 STARS ! ! ! Found an awesome deal for a womans bike here for $30 which was for in store purchase only. The website said 3 available so with me having a 2+ hour round trip to this store from where I live I called this store to verify they were there. The gentleman I talked to and who I gave All the bikes info told me yes he saw the 3 bikes there. I go ahead and make the long trip to get there i realize the ones he thought were the correct ones actually had different Colored tires and they had the exact model I was looking for but was more expensive and all management could say is there was nothing they could do after I wasted a 2hr trip and over $20 in gas for my truck. Well our walmart credit card has been shredded and my family will NEVER step foot into another walmart EVER AGAIN ! ! ! !

Always clean, cash register time is better than in the past, prices are excellent, products are fresh and well stocked. The glamor and entertainment factor of shopping are gone but did we really need that? More emphasis on local goods and on less additives would be a plus.

So Im an idiot. Somehow I managed to drop my keys in the store. The managers helped me look all over the store, They went so far above and beyond to help me. I appreciate everything they did. You just dont see customer service like that very often.

Does knowone work at the state college locations???? I have been calling all the Walmarts in state college since 7 pm tonight and knowone will answer the phones besides 1 time a guy answers in electronics I explain to him what I need he tells me to hold on one minute and never comes back on the line???? Doesnt even have enough respect to at least transfer me or something like what is going on?????? Still calling no answer?????

This was my second time inside of a Walmart and this place was huge. We stopped there for a bus layover. The short time I had to look around it seem like they had everything you need and want inside there.

I can always find what I want easily. Being able to get groceries along with anything else makes it easy to only go to one store. I am a very senior citizen

Couldn’t find the pickup desk and workers were less than helpful. Sign that said pickup pointed at a display of flowers. Some kinda sick joke I guess

I would like to say I attempted to visit the Walmart on North Atherton Street this evening. I just arrived home and was not allowed access to the store even though closing hours were not until 11 p.m. I realize that I did not arrive till several minutes prior but the women at the entrance would not allow me to enter. I only had one item to purchase and would have been out of the store prior to closing time. The women at the entrance was smoking a cigarette right in front of the door. In addition to not be able to enter the store before it was closed I found that very unprofessional to allow an employee to smoke at the entrance.. The management at this store is clearly lacking. If this is the way Walmart operates I will be taking my business elsewhere and I think others should follow suit. I explained to the women the item I wanted to purchase was a birthday banner for my son. I realize this was my oversight but really? Customer satisfaction? Clearly not. I’ll be contacting their corporate office first thing in the morning.

Well to begin I am gonna give this Wal-Mart a 5 star rating this one is In state college there shelves were stocked full they didnt seem to be out of anything we needed way better than the Dubois Wal-Mart and way way better than the Clearfield Wal-Mart. The State college Wal-Mart is a super center.

The shopping here was great the store is well laid out clean and organized. No debris and constant restocking is a plus.

Only ever have 2 registers open.. if the others aren’t going to be utilized, get rid of them. It’s stressful to see they COULD get customers out faster but don’t.

Only went there because I had to pick up prescriptions. The place is a disaster. They are redoing the floors and remodeling and merchandise sections have moved all over the store. Its impossible to find anything not food!!

The curbside pickup sercice and employees here are truly appreciated.I just park there and they kindly load everything for me, even asking me to stay in the car with windows closed for the purpose of social distiancing.However, here is the complaint about their website/system.Before moving to state college, I use amazon fresh and instacart for grocery shopping. Whenever there is missed/damaged items, I can submit issue and got refund immediately online.With warmart, it was very frustrating to see the issue cannot be resolved online and I had to call.I called, but was put on hold, said yes the call was about my latest order, but still asked for order number by the teller, she got the wrong order, we could not agree on the refund amount ....Very unpleasant experience .....I doubt whether this is intentional, for customers valuing their time more, they may give up claiming missed items

Empty shelves and only a couple cashiers

Selection and variety of food is mediocre at best. And that was before Covid. Such as Pop Tarts (as merely one example). Rather than stocking all of the new varieties, they have a handful. You have to go to Giant for any real variety.

Changing things around AGAIN. No one knows where to find items

Clean huge store. They had good selections, my buddy went in looking for car decals and got help right away. Everyone was nice and helped out alot.

Cant go 5-stars on a Walmart review, but I must admit this is one of the cleanest and largest Walmart stores Ive visited. The place has just about anything you can imagine ... except for navy blue mens socks - which I couldnt find!

I usually go to Walmart for things I cannot buy elsewhere in town. Most of the time I can find what I need. The store is spacious and bright, not a very comfy atmosphere, but it does feel safe because it has enough space for social distancing. I also used the curbside pickup service, which was a nice alternative if one chooses not to go inside.

This Walmart is the absolute worst. everytime Ive been there around 5 oclock after work they have around 20 or so registers that are closed and the self check out lines are absolutely ridiculous. what is the point of having 20 plus registers if you arent going to have employees working them. Im only giving 1 star because it wont let me post without doing so. I would giving negative stars if possible.

Typical Walmart. No real issues. Customer mask wearing mostly (85%), but thoes not are agressivly not. Not walmart employee fault since it puts them in a bad position.Stating mostly for others to be aware as it is a legit health concern for some.

The only reason I go there is because 1. Its super close to my apartment and 2. The prices are cheap. Now trying to ask their staff for help is like trying to fill up a colander with water. They either walk away and act like they dont hear you or just say I dont know . Now with us being in a pandemic, youd think that the employees would know how to wear a mask. Cover your noses idiots!

I was there 4 days ago and got change at customer service for the lottery machine, no problem. Stopped today to get change at customer service and the said that they are not allowed to give change. After telling them I got change a few days ago they said they have not been able to give change for three years and stepped away.They should have somewhere to get change instead of having to wait in the checkout lines.
