We are installing new windows in the front rooms of our home. Jeff Stainbrook from Pella Windows visited us for an estimate which I expected to take about a half hour for him to measure and get details. As it turned out, Jeff spent about 90 minutes with us explaining the options and the process. He was patient, informative, knowledgeable, and interesting. I would recommend Pella in State College to anyone considering window replacement.

Jeff was a fantastic consultant that took the time to explain the benefits of a single window replacement vs. replacing all of the windows in the house. I really appreciated the time he took to help me end up making the best cost effective decision I could for a single window that needed a glass repair.

Pella is the best for high quality windows with a lifetime warranty. They are completely professional and have excellent follow through. Having worked with two other replacement windows companies trying to lower the cost, in the end we come back to Pella for quality and how they respect one’s time and business. We have selected Pella (State College, PA) for four different projects on our house over the last 10+ years. On our latest project (replacing a bank of windows with a patio door), Jeff Stainbrook has been fabulous to work with. He listened to what we wanted, offered suggestions that improved upon our vision of the project, and has always been cheerful and enjoyable to be around.

Their windows are roughly 4 times the cost of other companies. Apparently there are a lot of wealthy gullible people in state college.I also wanted to clarify that the professionalism displayed by the salesman was top notch and I felt he was extremely knowledgeable about windows. I have no doubt that the installers would do an exemplary job. This One star review only reflects the value. If you pay roughly 4 times the cost for a window with the same U factor it’s highly unlikely you are going to recoup your investment. I received two other bids from companies with windows with similar or even lower U factors for 1/4 of the cost. One company quoted a window their most expensive for $905 a window for a 0.17 U factor triple pane, foam filled krypton gas filled window (their most expensive) which was still 2/3 the price of Pella quote for a double hung argon gas with a U factor of 0.29. Also the competitors window I quoted has a lifetime warranty from a national company.So in summary if cost is no factor at all and you are looking for the best window at any price then I would go with Pella.But if dollar per energy savings means anything at all to you don’t waste your time with Pella.Also I will add that the sales rep upon seeing my previous one star review called me and asked me to change my review star rating. This alone would make me suspect of any other google reviews as it’s likely that other critical reviewers were pressured to alter or remove their reviews

Aug. 8, 2021--Jesse delivered our window & door, he was nice and willing to carry the heavy items wherever I wanted. . .very pleasant guy. Aug. 10th, Don, & his team Rich & Russ came early & went right to work non stop. They work together really well, and are all perfectionists. Don over sees that everything is to his expectations as the owner of the Co. plus he too works hard. His knowledge of how things should be done and look is above and beyond . However, both Rich & Russ work hard, and do a great job. We love the kitchen window that Jeff helped me decide on that would be a nice change for us, and it brightened up our kitchen area. The new back door is perfect, and the workmanship couldnt be better in how everything looks and works.I would recommend Don to anyone to have work done at their homes along with his team.The delivery of the two items took awhile but Rachel the Office Mgr. was very good with me keeping me informed as to how close we were getting to having the items here and done on our home. No matter when I called she was very supportive.We are happy we went to Pella in State College, we can tell they cared about us, and making sure we are happy w/the outcome of of the window & door. Plus, you can call them anytime w/questions or concerns. (It took longer for delivery because of the back up with thetrucking industry). It was worth the wait :)This was March 3, 2021--I was very impressed with Jeffs presentation. I never thought at this stage of our life we would spend that much money for a back door and one kitchen window. However, Jeff taught me a lot about the difference between re-placement windows, and in this time of our lives, we know well be getting good quality. I was quite impressed with Jeff Stainbrook. I consulted with him about my current Pella door. He is extremely well informed and caring. He explained and showed me how the door works. He answered all my questions, and evaluated the current state of my Pella door (and cleaned the working parts!). He told me what to look for and do in order to maintain the door going forward, the signs to look for that might mean the rollers need to be replaced, and so on. We recently had a sliding glass door replaced. Jeff Stainbrook was very prompt at getting back to us (a rarity these days!) and helpful with choosing the correct door for us. Don Miller helped install it. Installers were polite and very considerate of keeping the space around where they were working clean. They cleaned up after done and made sure everything looked great! There was a small mix up with the type of door handle we wanted vs what was delivered on the door, but Jeff responded quickly and scheduled to come change it out within a few day.

Jeff, the manager of Pella Window & Doors of State College store, and his crews, Dan, et al delivered a large-size window to our home last week and installed it right after the delivery. They did a very careful job of installing the window (lots of work) because it is a large-size, heavy window. Trims were also installed nicely and matched with existing trims in style. After finishing installation, they also painted trims to ensure that the color of the new trim is the same as that of trims of other windows. They did the job very professionally. We are extremely happy with their service and work. Highly recommend Jeff, Dan, and Pella Windows & Doors to you if you need to install windows.

Several years ago we had Pella of State College replace all of the main windows, a patio door, and a porch door in our 35 year old house. The installation was outstanding, as was the follow up on some minor issues. After several years of use the windows and door still look and work like new. I cant express adequately how happy I am with the assistance I got from Jeff Stainbrook in servicing my Pella window with the shade that stopped working. He came out to my home and checked out the problem and returned the next day and fixed it so it functions like new. He was very careful with masking and gave good advice and product information regarding some other windows I anticipate replacing. The local Pella folks, Jeff Stainbrook and Dan Miller really know their business and do excellent service. Nice people.I also want to say that the front door that they replaced for me is wonderful and was done very quickly and neatly. Dark green on the outside and matching my wood trim on the interior and they removed and reinstalled the storm door (also a Pella) while performing the new door install. Everything functions smoothly. (Despite me mentioning the advertisements on the website.) I dont work for Pella, so I couldnt possibly know if that was true or not, now that I know it most likely isnt, Im changing my review score. You can see that I didnt pull this out of thin air by reading my full review, which I have stated this problem. Im just going into more detail now.I was then offered contractor windows for only $3,000 less in total.3 stars removed, because this is poor business practice and series 150 or 250 would have sufficed for just an upgrade from 1934 windows that werent problematic. Regardless it still would havd brought in a decent profit for Pella.Jeff Stainbrook was thorough with answering questions and explaining what would be done, hes friendly and he showed up on time, even if he doesnt show up on time be mindful that he takes the time with you, no rush at all.What was offered is their top teired windows 350 series (which are one of the best on the market based on his consumer report graph) and contractor windows, in my opinion, all of the other series should be offered if the Pella website is going to showcase them, but that isnt reflected in my rating, because there may be circumstances that I may not know about. (I changed my rating to reflect this.)I did not go foward with Pella, because triple pane, foam insulated windows are a bit excessive for my needs, budget, location of the house (you dont want to over spend if you happen to sell your house later, because you may be at a huge loss.)Again this review is not a review on the product itself, but the performance of the sales rep and why I didnt buy from Pella.- Ridge.

I wasnt going to give a review until the follow up call I received. We had a salesman and manager come to the house. They measured showed us colors and 2 sliding patio doors from a brochure. This is a replacement door same size as our current door. We were quoted $8500 for the top of the line and $7000 for the lessor quality door. We were told this door is the best door made, no other manufacturer makes a door this good. They never told one feature it has that makes it better than the competitor. During the follow up call I told the salesperson that we decided to go a different direction because of the price and was not given any better features of the Pella door during their visit. He got rude and said well you didnt give us enough time. WHAT!!! your were in our house for 45 minutes and now your going to blame the customer for you terrible salesmanship??? If your going to try and sell a $8500 door please be good at your job and dont blame the customer for you lack of knowledge or effort which ever it might be.

My appointment was quick and informative and the install couldn’t have been smoother. My new windows look great and the installer went over all of them in detail to make sure I was 100% happy and he cleaned everything up perfectly after so you couldn’t tell I just had a construction project. Highly recommend Pella!

We had our new Pella Architect Series windows installed and with the cold temperatures, we sure have noticed a BIG difference in the warmth inside our home. We love the fact that these new windows fold in for cleaning and the company pre-painted the interiors of the windows at the factory to match our existing trim throughout our house. The curb appeal from the exterior of the property also makes our home look lovely as well. The installers were efficient, tidy and cleaned up. When I first met with Jeff, I was considering several different options, and he provided all the information I needed. But I wanted to take some time to decide. He didn’t pressure me to decide quickly, and I ended with a configuration that differed from all the initial ideas. I had been told by other companies that installation would be tricky and require changing the entryway. But Don did a fabulous job with the installation, and the new front door with storm door looks amazing.

I have always been impressed with the quality of the products but possibly more important is the skill of their installers -- so happy to hear that the installer who did significant work previously in my house will be back for this current installation

Couldnt be happier with the product and service I received. Sales / measuring visit was low-key, they didnt try to sell me a more expensive product, and they didnt talk down to me. Installation day was as painless as possible; everyone showed up on time, worked efficiently and politely, and when they saw that my sliding door wasnt working right, they insisted on fixing it on the spot at no charge. Great service. Great product. Hard to argue with any company that delivers on every one of their promises. Never thought windows and doors would be that big of a deal. I was sooooo wrong.

Review Part 1: Selection and DesignWe started by visiting the Pella showroom where Rachel was very friendly and knowledgeable about all product lines. She walked us through various models and features, answered questions, and helped us prepare for our appointment with Jeff Stainbrook later that day. Rachel was so nice and informative. She took her time and there was no hard sell.Jeff was running late and called in advance to let us know. Once he arrived, we got down to the business of discussing what we wanted, measuring windows and doors, and designing some changes to the existing window plan. We are replacing all windows, our front door, and sliding door in the Master bedroom. Jeff Stainbrook was awesome. He was calm, friendly, and detailed. Jeff took all the time we needed to work out all details (3 hours) even though we started at 5pm on Friday evening, and there was no hard sell. Jeff had some excellent ideas for a couple of design changes. He worked them up on his laptop and we loved the ideas! This meeting included lots of samples of both color options and actual frames and in-window blind mechanisms (were getting these on 3 windows). Once the walk through and design discussions were completed, Jeff worked out the complete contract, reviewed it with us, and we signed on the dotted line.Not only do we know were going to get top of the line, high quality windows and doors, but having now worked with Rachel and Jeff, we are also certain we are working with high quality people! Thanks to Rachel and Jeff for getting our project off the ground. We are very pleased with the process so far.I will add Part 2 (installation) when the job is done later this summer.Part 2: I installationI had to wait on this until things were completed. Installation was absolutely the most professional work we have ever had done. Installers Don and Rich were on time every day. Installation was scheduled for 6 days and it took exactly 6 days. There was no time wasted. The insallers were very experienced and could handle any situation encountered when tearing out the old windows and putting in the new ones. They were friendly and task focused. Don has a great sense of humor. We were very comfortable having them in and out if the house for several days for this big job. Everything looks great and everything was cleaned up after the job.Most importantly, on the final walk through Jeff noticed some damage to the newly installed sliding glass door that must have occurred in transit (not during installation). While somewhat minor, it was more than cosmetic. Jeff consulted with Pella and they agreed to replace it. So we had to wait a few weeks for a new door but Don and Rich completed installation today, and took care of 2 minor issues we noticed.I think this says it all about Pella. They are truly professional and want the customer to be completely satisfied. We are completely satisfied. The quality product and the quality people are the best in the business. You get what you pay for and Pella is worth every penny! We cant say enough good things about this company.Thank you Jeff, Don, and Rich. Thank you Pella!
