Didnt have the Nintendo Switch Case we wanted in store,but they looked it up on line and ordered one for my grand daughter...game stop employees were very knowledgeable...

Never cared for this company, and not rating it 1 star for any fault of the employees. Used to be a place to get games and console accessories. Has turned into a place to buy pop culture merch.Ask them how much they would buy games for, then sell them to your friends at that price instead, become the favorite friend.Company is bad for game devs as well since the reselling of games doesnt actually help the companies that make them. This business never cared about gamers or the video game industry.

Tried to buy a switch game, waited in line for 20 minutes while the cashier looked over someone’s box of Xbox games veryyyyy slowly, taking her own sweet time on each game like there wasn’t a soul in the store. Said screw it, I’ll buy it from the Nintendo store. Lost my business.

Now that there is new management I cant say enough good things about this store. It is absolutely wonderful.

I went in tonight to exchange my sons Xbox controller. They informed me that the boxes on the shelves are just for display. So I asked them to order one. My cashier had to ask the second cashier how to do that without my receipt. The second cashier told her use my phone number. The second cashier was on her phone and dealing with a customer. The other customer was having her ps dealt with. And her cashier couldnt even figure out how to turn it on. Now back to my cashier she couldnt figure out how to do what I needed she was only looking at my last 5 transactions. Cashier 1 told cashier 2 that she couldnt find it. I told her it was purchased last may. She then asked if I bought the warranty. I told her yes. Then the 2 cashiers came to the conclusion that without a receipt or sticker on the original box they couldnt exchange it. I told them they had to go into my actual account not my recent history to find it. They didnt know how to do that. When I original tried to return my controller in January the cashier told me to tell them to go in my history to find it not my recent activity. These two incompetent morans couldnt figure out how to do anything. They were too busy not listening to me the customer to do anything right. Why would my box have the original sticker considering it was bought at game stop but they originally ordered it for me because they were out of stock at that time too. Thats also why I dont have an original receipt. Maybe if they would listen they could have been informed. I told them they were stupid and didnt know how to do their jobs to which they responded at my back because I was leaving thank you and started laughing. Im tired of going to this game stop and having nothing but issues. Why does gamestop keep hiring people that know nothing about gaming.

Only game store still im business. They have everythimg you need and they buy old games that you wouldnt get much for at a pawn shop.

I can honestly say that this GameStop is the most pleasant to do dealings with. The staff is always friendly and very helpful, they are very attentive to the customers needs and we feel like family there. I highly recommend this particular GameStop.

I use to love this gamestop we went in all the time and did all our business there. But since this virus and there doors have been closed making it hard on someone who collects not just games but statues. The site will say they have it they say they dont if you call there phone. There is one particular girl who i have spoken to over the phone multiple times and she is rude and snaps when I am trying to insure they have a product when I cant go in myself to look. I would rather pay a little more and order offline.i already switched my pre-orders to Amazon. I would say the stuff you get for pre ordering there was worth it but since they closed there doors the pre-order we picked up didnt have the download codes they were supposed to give us. So it dose t matter were I order. And even if they do open doors again I wont go back.

Gamestop has one of the best selections I know. It always gives me something to look forward to and a goal to save up for. I love the employees knowledge about these games, so they can tell me if its a good game. I find that they are alphabetically organized, so you shouldnt have trouble finding a good game you want.

Positives: Staff are knowledgeable and stock on hand is great. Good selection of used games as well.Negatives: Store feels crowded at times with its small size. Open food including half eaten hamburger on counter when I was checking out. 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Employees are very helpful and kind. The store is very compact and can be clustered at times. They usually carry all the lastest releases of games on consoles. Though they sometimes lack older games for the precious generation of console, as well as they dont have the precious generation of console for sale sometimes. Overall GameStop is a great place to get video games at a fair price. You can also get resold video games that are even cheaper but you do run the risk of the disk having a few scratches. Great place, just needs to have more space and more stock of video games and consoles of the previous generation.

Overall the staff is nice but they always seem to be understaffed as there is only one person at the counter. A ten minute visit can easily turn into a thirty to forty minute wait in line. One of the managers, is nice enough but doesnt know squat as she thought dying light was totally different from dead island gameplay and she thinks plants vs zombies has a great story mode. Yikes! Theres a girl that may or may not still work there, the one with the deathly hallows tattoo, is nice and seems to have the most game knowledge out of everyone in the store.

Jan the man was hilarious and cool!! Even while visiting form alabama he got me and my friends all taken care of!!!

The young lady that assisted me asked if I would like to buy a preowned PS4 game for 37.99. I declined because the new game was only $2 more. When I got it home and experienced an issue, I brought it back for two young men to tell me I couldnt exchange it for a Xbox game. I purchased it 30 minutes before and wasnt informed of this policy. They then offered me $12 for a game I just paid $43 for. Very dissatisfied with the service. Same yourself a headache.

Stole my moneyWent to buy a PS4 and games for my son for Christmas early last week at out local GameStop. During the purchase the register system crashed. Long story short, the money came out of our account but GameStop says they have no record of it. They tried to called corporate. An hour later and still no call. GameStop said there was nothing they could do even though we could show them the transaction number and everything through our bank. $340 gone!! Tried calling corporate on Friday and was on hold and sent to different departments over the course of an hour and a half without answers. Finally someone told him that a district manager would be contacting him in 2-3 business days. We did file a fraudulent claim with our bank since we have nothing to show for the $340. Horrible company practices and customer service. This is essentially theft. Please consider buying your electronics elsewhere.

Great park, great service, and good selection for what I wanted.

The employees were very helpful and very kind to my boyfriend and me. They helped us find exactly what we were looking for and gave us a kind greeting when we came in.Only downside is all the stuff they to sell you and convince you to buy. Im a bit socially awkward so it was uncomfortable to me. Other than that though, it was a good experience!

This is a smaller location and pretty cluttered. These stores in general are not great because they offer cents on the dollar for trades and then charge a lot for used games they sell.

No issues. I returned a game and got a replacement. The staff was courteous.

Usually not that busy when I get there. Store is kinda small and it seems cluttered with all the displays. Last time I was there I bought a PS4 controller, the warranty for it is pretty awesome.

GameStop was my goto place for all video games, consoles, etc. Their struggle to compete with online retailers has taken its toll.

Not particularly fond of this store, although itll likely never go out of business because its one of the few places in Statesboro to get video games and the like.Im not overly familiar with the business structure of gamestop, but I do not think it is fair to judge or evaluate them based on how much they try to upsell, that is their job and that is what every Gamestop employee will attempt to do. Gamestop however in general, is not a good place to trade your games in. i do not recommend doing so unless you have bonus trade credit from one of the trade-in deals they occasionally have, and if youre not trading in a popular game, youre not going to get anything for it.That said, I have had multiple annoying experiences at this store due to rude or sexist employees, not being able to acquire popular consoles and games due to stocking shortages, and long lines on a pretty much daily basis(mostly due to understaffing, the store is popular and the staff should reflect that).That said, I believe the current staff to be amicable and competent, theres just never enough of them.

Get off the phone already! I have been trying to call this store for over an hour to find out about a power pack. Thats all...a freaking power pack. Get off the phone!!!!

Anyway, theres a lady there thats two faced. She makes out like she plays games, but she doesnt look like she does.lol. Anyway she can be very rude and miserable at times. Frequently. Sometimes dont have what you want, or they have to ship it. The rest of the crew is waaaaaaay much better than the other old lady. Respect my elders, yes, definitely. But wait till you deal with her. Overall, three stars. Plus, they bug you to get all this freakin stuff, like warranties,pre-orders and all this stuff you dont really need. You just want to buy the game, go home and play it.

Overall, If it comes down to limit number releases dont waste your time here. I am currently joining the Air Force so I had to drive from Madison, Alabama to Savannah, Ga. My fiance and I stopped 30 times to acquire the new amiibos for him with the last straw in Statesboro. We were barely missing exclusives all day which is understandable. Then there is Jennifer, The two-faced manager. When I entered the store I politely asked if pacman and The Splatoons were all the Amiibos they had left. This was all that was on display, which she replied yes and gestured to them. (Lied to a guest, item was not displayed that wasnt preordered.) So my fiance approached the counter to exchange Amiibo heartbreaks with her. He explained he needed all the exclusives and Robin. She replied with a story of her Jigglypuff preorder being canceled by Target. As we stood there a little boy (as she called him) called about how he wasnt in town and wanted the Ness Amiibo. I could hear the conversion, so I responded with Ill buy it, I have cash. (Refused a sale) Then she told him to go to a Gamestop near him, buy a Giftcard and she could accept it over the phone. (Breaking policy because it wasnt online or in person.) Then as she waited for his call back argued with us about how it was wrong to want something that I had driven hours to find. Then she took my number so she could call if he bought/didnt buy Ness. An hour later I didnt get a call while a friend got irritated and called for me, Which she then lied to him and had sold it to someone who bought a Giftcard in Savannah that drove to Statesboro in Twenty minutes. I will never buy from this store, if any Gamestop again. Thanks a lot Jennifer.

The staff at this gamestop has always been above average, someone below me said they are sharks always trying to get you to buy warranties and pre-orders, first off if you dont buy the warranty for 1-3 dollars you are a moron, and second its their job to ask and promote pre-orders. Friendly staff, great selection, all over great store!

Good game prices and excellent staff

Last time ever I shop at GameStop. Ridiculous customer service. I tried purchasing a game and the card machine would not accept any of my cards because of their chip reader. Staff thought it was funny and the only suggestion they gave me was to go to an ATM and pay them in cash. Id rather take my business else where.

Store felt cluttered and cramped. Otherwise was able to get what I needed.
