Great place hands down best in area, best I have dealt with anywhere. Always kept updated on deadlines give me time pay fee. Actually list an item and was able to get back off sale floor. I asked owner if anyway get back “let’s look” amazing barely paid more then what was originally owed. I never go anywhere else.

The store is very clean, and feels friendly. The young man Chad who help me was very thoughtful, knowledgeable, kept me informed every step as my particular loan request required extensive time. Up front about loan amount and fees. If I ever need again this place would be my only choice

I have been dealing with Valley Pawn for years, and have purchased many items. I have always been treated fairly. I would like to mention one employee in particular. Molly is someone who exemplifies the ideal salesperson! She is pleasant and does not pressure you into buying anything. She allows you to roam the store at your leisure. I have the tendency to impulse-buy! She has advised me often to think overnight before making a purchase, which is unusual for someone as young as she is! I think all the employees at Valley Pawn treat me well, but I would have to say that Molly is my favorite! Also, thanks to Preston for his assistance over the years! Thanks, Valley Pawn!

And, in times like these, people have an opportunity to take advantage of the rampant misfortune: Valley Pawn is a shining example of the RIGHT way to do business. Their employees say “We do try to help people...” and, that’s no slogan. They honestly do.I have bought items, sold items, and taken loans out on items at this location at various times. They are my first impulse when I need a tool or a new piece for my ever-expanding bass rig. Marshall...Electro Harmonix...Gretsch (it will be mine...) they have all the big names coupled with a great selection.But, it’s the people that keep me coming back. No hyperbole...they are just good people that want to help you with a decent deal, and still make a buck for their business. That’s not a crime: that’s fair business. Uriah is my go to guy...he has a handle on everything and isn’t beyond asking for help if he needs it. The two young ladies working with him are always super friendly and helpful, too.Knowledgeable is an applicable term here: they do know their business. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming, they make me feel at home.Another amazing thing? They call you with reminders that you have a loan payment due! This is a pawn shop...and they actually call you to remind you instead of just taking your stuff. I had a $300.00 loan on a laptop currently worth $2,000.00. They called me to remind me. That’s not a common practice, I’m sad to report, but it is for them. That alone is enough to keep me as a customer. But, don’t take my word for it: go check them out! Just don’t buy that Gretsch Bass...it’s spoken for.

I went in to price a rifle I had considered selling, a few days later went in to see if the decided on a price because it is quite the unicorn and anyone in their right mind would take time to research the item, when I returned I discovered a few other items of interest, negotiated a deal and they absolutely did me right and we both left happy.Couldnt ask for anything more, nice doing business with you guys!Ill be back for sure!

These people clearly do not know the meaning of “pawn”. They expect anything bought in to be brand new still in the box etc. They offer insulting prices on things then turn around and charge 3 times the worth of it. They are rude, unprofessional and down right ignorant in my opinion and I know everyone has their own way of looking at things but I felt the need to share mine on the staff and business. Good luck in the future because the way you are doing things currently you won’t be there long and or/this will not be the only negative review you get. Use it wisely.

I purchased a gun online and needed an FFL for the transfer, not only is their fee lower than everyone else but both Chad and Preston were awesome and helpful through my entire experience. Highly recommend these guys, I will definitely be using their services again!

Do not pawn anything at this store. I had several pawns at this store. I made a mistake of paying by phone with a CC so they decided they wanted the merchandise of one of the pawns. Both were put in at nearly the same time and always paid together. However, they decided that one was past due and the other not. When I went to pick the pawns up the more valuable pawn had been sold and the other not. I was lead to believe I was paying on each every month they never said anything. I specifically informed them yet they took one and not the other. My fault for not getting receipts, I thought they were good people you cannot trust anyone now days. Should have known better. Do not make my mistake, stay away from this store.

Do not pay attention to the negative reviews about this place. At first glance the place is just a pawn shop with a limited inventory BUT WAIT!! the stufff they have is set at good prices---the wild and burly lookin dudes who work there are some of the most caring retailers in the city-- they helped my son three times with his xbox after we bought it there for cheaper than we could find on craigslist. they even threw in some free replacement stuff----I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GIVING THESE GUYS A CHANCE!!!!

Horrible. The man was rude, didnt know how to talk to people. I tried turning in gift cards with the reciepts to them as well, he said he couldnt take them bc he was unable to call them in and the reciepts were a day old. Little did I know all I had to do was take them to the place I got them and get them to print me another reciept with the balance on it. Had to find that out from a customer who said they have turned in gift cards multiple times there by doing that. Then I tried giving them a brand new never used $80 coffee maker still in the box with the price tag sticker still on it and the man appearantly looked it up and argued with me saying it was only worth $40 and said he could give me $15. Thats not even half of $40 and not a quarter of the price I paid for it IN THE STORE. Of course he didnt look up the right coffee maker because I looked it up after I left and saw the one he was talking about, and Ofcourse the Internet is going to be cheaper than buying it in the store. Also the building is filthy and terrible location, theres no parking and the employees are rude, and think they know it all. They didnt only not buy from me but they didnt buy from the first two people that were in front of me. I was mostly mad about the gift cards, they have it advertised everywhere that they accept gift cards and they didnt accept mine. I understand if he couldnt of called them in but to hand them almost immediately back without trying barely was a disappointment I was ready for. Just the average pawn shop, too broke to afford merchandise because they cant sell the junk they already have so they try to get someones hopes up so they can try to maintain themselves and try to make it seem as if they were working. Instead they should pick up a mop and broom and clean the pig sty instead of sit and wait for some lost customer who has to park at the gas station beside them to walk over and be denied interest. Not only will cleaning it maybe get the attention of the shoppers in the store that they did have but it will bring attention from the outside too. Just saying. You might as well try and find someone you know yourself to buy something youre trying to pawn, the time phrase will be almost the same if not shorter. Terrible, gross, crusty. I wouldnt even give them the one star rate but appearantly I have to. Awful business, it should be shut down and made into someoneethint someon can have fun

This is the most worthless excuse for a pawn shop in staunton. everytime i go there they have no money but honestly id rather hear that then the offer they give me for a pawn. anything ive taken them theyve either had no money to buy it or offered a rediculessly low price witch they will not budge from. Pawn shop right off 250 next to timmy doos is 10x better. or even pawn emoprium next to comcast. save your time and take your biz elsewere
