We had a great experience at Switchback. They were able to accommodate our group of 9 with e-bikes, which was no easy task during this holiday week. The employees were incredibly helpful and patient with our group and made us all very comfortable with the operation and handling of the bikes. One Stop Ski Shop came very highly recommended when I asked around about a new boot fitting in Steamboat and they did not disappoint. I had a phenomenal boot fitting experience here. Will went above and beyond in making sure I had the right fit and made it clear is he cared more about improving my skiing experience than he did about making a sale. After many unpleasant boot fitting experiences at other shops, I am thrilled to finally have boots that work great. Everyone one in the shop was very helpful and accommodating. I can easily say that this is the most friendly and skilled shops in town.

Good spot for a bike rental as well during the summer. I rented a hard-tail mountain bike to do some trails by Howelsen Hill. Process was quick and easy to rent and the return was equally easy.

I went in to the store totally against buying a hard shelled ski boot again, had my mind set on a soft boot ski boot since my last pair of boots made me want to throw them off the mountain. BUT...I put my trust in Will and I’m not sorry. He fitted me for a pair of ski boots and I’ve never been happier. I had the best day skiing because I was comfortable in my ski boots. No pains, no hot spots, no numbness. I can’t recommend this store for fitting boots enough. Knowledgeable, experienced, skilled. Not to mention that they were all incredibly nice, patient and welcoming.

This place is definitely the place to go to get all of your ski gear. The rental process was quick and easy, and we were able to have all of our questions answered. Derek was especially helpful with getting us fitted/sized for equipment and for helping us with questions related to everything from skiing, to returning our gear. He is truly a valuable asset to this shop!

My wife and I decide to buy new boots and skis locally in Steamboat. We were advised and fitted for new boots by Will and the experience was excellent. Got fitted for new boots and were skiing the same day. Skied 14 of 16 days and completely happy with the equipment. My feet were happy but not my legs :). I highly recommend buying locally. You might pay a little more but it is worth the expertise and peace of mind.

Matt was a great help. Got me set up with a new pair of boots and some great custom foot beds that really make these fit like a glove. I couldn’t be happier. Also, no nonsense and so, so friendly. One look around the shop and you’ll know this place is the real deal.

Had a booting fitting with Will last week and skiing this week was the best ever. He was extremely knowledgeable, thorough and pleasant. He took his time in sorting out multiple issues and patiently addressed all of them by the end of the session. Wonderful experience and result.

Really great snowboard rentals for kids. They hooked us up quickly and affordably. Great service with a smile. If you need to rent a snowboard for your kid in Steamboat Springs, give these kind folks a call. And as a quick tip, if your kid is just starting out like mine was, skip the crowds at steamboat mountain and just head across the river to Howelsen Hill. Super easy to get to for a dozen quick runs.

Awesome! Didn’t have exactly what I needed on a custom boot fit so called over town finding the exact right thing. I got the boot and came back in for the fitting with them anyway because I certainly trusted them at this point. Heck of a job. Highly recommend. Will does a terrific job

I had developed a hot spot in boots fit elsewhere. Will checked the boot fit and buckling settings and made suggestions that helped the problem. He then found an area in my footbed that needed adjusting which, after adjusting eliminated my problem. He refused to charge me saying he didn’t do much, just leave a few bucks in the tip jar. I did, the boots fit great and I’ll be back to see him when it’s time for new boots

Got my boots adjusted after a day of pain. My feet must have changed during covid and wearing real shoes less. Boots fit much better now. I’ll be going there next year for new boots.

Will is a personable, friendly and really skilled boot fitter. He diagnosed opportunities to improve the fit of my seasoned Lange RSs. I have very low volume feet which are great for a Lange fit but Ive had some heel movement over time. New/better custom foot beds (versus my off the shelf attempt) and new liner padding have both heels completely locked in with massive edge to edge improvement. Honestly, they are better than new. Should have done it sooner. Dont let the size of One Stop Ski Shop fool you. It may be a small store but they deliver big results. Thanks Will!

Skis were dropped off early afternoon Thursday for a basic tune-up, and hadnt been touched when I stopped back in Friday evening before close (which was the agreed-upon pickup time). Things happen, but cant say I was not disappointed to not see what kind of work they could do.

Trent and company were so very nice, accommodating, and quick with service and smiles! They actually came through when a competing bike shop hosed us on rentals! I highly, HIGHLY recommend One Stop Ski Shop! They are professional, reasonably priced and super nice to work with!

True to their name, we were set up and out the door quickly. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Were happy to go through a few boots until we found one that we were comfortable. I bought my skis, boots, and poles here over Labor Day weekend when they had a great sale. It was a great deal, but the real reason for the 5 star review is because the owner and his manager spent an hour with me trying on different boots, adjusting the inside of the boots and checking the fit. I have always rented before I moved to Colorado, and little did I know I was wearing way too large of a boot for years. I was convinced these boots were too small, but I went with them because I trusted his expertise. I waited to write this review because I wasn’t sure how it would pan out for me. He was right- everything was a perfect fit after breaking it in for maybe a 1/2 day. I love my new gear. Thank you!

I absolutely suggest everyone rent their ski gear from the one stop ski shop! it is absolutely insane to go anywhere else!The service was fantastic and I cant say enough great things about the group we met in this shop. The truth is we didnt even have much time to chat with them but there was something about the experience that we had renting from the shop that was so amazing that I will never rent gear from anywhere else ever again while in Steamboat!

When the server was actually helping me, he was great. But in between fetching stuff and keying in information or whatever he spaced out quite often and forgot that I had also rented a helmet 😅We all do mistakes, so its all good 😉

These guys rock. Super easy to work with, always conscious of making it a good experience. They were able to outfit my picky 68 yr old father and my even picker 6 year old daughter, who both had a great time on the mountain. Prices rock also, and these guys always do a good job.

These guys are absolutely the best when it comes to fitting boots. My wife is notoriously hard to please when it comes to boots. Everything has a point, a feel, too loose, too tight, etc. The guys at One Stop spent about 4 hours over 2 days getting her just the right boot and just the right fit. Now shes happy, and when shes happy.... At the same time, my daughter brought her boots she bought in Maine into the shop. She has relatively wide feet and the fit wasnt right. Again, even though the boots were bought elsewhere, they worked with her over a couple days to get each boot just right for really a very nominal fee. Thanks to John and his crew, I have two happy campers.

I am new to skiing, and these guys were so helpful and awesome. Not only was the service amazing, they took time to answer all of my questions, explain the different equipment etc. You can tell the staff really loves what they do, because it shows through their exceptional customer service. Also, I really love the down-to-earth vibe you get from the shop. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. As for the prices and comparing them to the other stores in town, they are the most reasonably priced, and have a ton of equipment to choose from. I highly recommend going to this store. You will a great deal, great staff, and leave feeling prepared and excited for your day on the mountain.

This is the place to get ski boots John (the owner) is a once in a lifetime personality. He is a boot fitting master and you will get very personalized service. Keep in mind he takes his time to get you into the right boot, so you need to block out some time. Also footbeds are crucial to the fit, so dont skimp! Ask to see the shop dog...

Best ski shop in Steamboat! Came out with a group of girlfriends, all different level skiers, and they were able to talk to everyone and make them feel comfortable with the equipment and even allowed the more advanced skiers to demo some great new gear. You can tell that all the workers have a huge passion for their job and Steamboat and their knowledge on the area goes well beyond skiing.On top of the great service, they have the best prices in town. I was recommended to One Stop after my borrowed ski boots from a friend killed my feet. John and his team fitted me with some Apex boots and new set of skis that took all the discomfort away! One Stop is an adorable family owned business. In the summer you can rent tubes here and go float down the Yampa, we did this as a huge group and had an awesome time. It was relaxing and really fun. Bring a group, rent some tubes and go do it. The shop was very helpful with making sure we were prepared and suggesting where to start and end.

John Kole re-fitted my boots and I am skiing pain free for the first time in years. He is a smart, patient problem solver and will give you all the time you need to be confident of success. John’s footbed are the best I have ever experienced.

Went in to have my inner boot fitted on my snowboard boots, they fitted the boots perfect. No more heel lift and they are more comfortable than they were new. Saved me hundreds, did not need to buy new boots, saved the ones I already had.

We have got our rentals from one stop for the past 3 seasons, and will be doing again this year. The guys are knowledgeable, friendly and really helpful, and the prices are certainly better than anywhere around the ski base area. They did not take long to kit out 6 of us, and any adjustments or exchanges have always been easy, as they are open until around 8pm.I wouldnt go anywhere else in steamboat now.

This place is great, we rent here every time we ski, best prices- the whole family gets kitted out for skiing in about 20 minutes, the guys are great with our 2 young boys who love the shop dog and free hot cocoa!

The equipment was nice except they gave me a snowboard with a strap that was half ripped. This place gets real busy and the ski setup team isnt numerous enough to keep up. Expect a long wait. I waited 1.5 hrs yesterday.

Went into their shop on Sunday March 29th, staff was very helpful.... Went in to buy a helmet and ended up buying a helmet and a pair of ski boots. Their up sells werent overwhelming and they were awesome. Will go back for sure.

I had my boots fitted by John. He did a superb job, I always have a hard time finding shoes that feels confortable. Last season I did the mistake to rent boots and what a mistake that was but I found online this place and WOW this year skiing was a blast. I went at the end of the day and John worked past closing time to make sure that my boots were confortable, he did it with a great attitude and a great sense of humor, he offered to come back if any trouble with the boots even for futures seasons. I am glad I found this place and I highly recommend to anyone looking for quality boot fitting and a confortable ride on the slopes.
