Christy Sports was WONDERFUL. Travis helped us and he was quick, efficient, and had us out of there in a short amount of time. Their prices are very decent and all of our gear fit perfectly and we had the best time skiing because everything worked out well. Definitely recommend Christy Sports, and definitely this location because the base can get pretty crazy, so if you are looking for somewhere less crowded, we found this location to be just that!!!!

Ski rental service was quick and professional while being fun and relaxed. The team seamlessly worked together to get myself and two family members set up.The boot fitting was excellent and the quality of equipment was very nice.I’ve had times in the past where it felt like I was putting on bowling shoes during a boot fitting. I did NOT have that experience here. Top notch.

Rented here for the previous 5 seasons. Great service! I recommend taking advantage of the FREE ski storage at Base location Christy Sports. No need to lug equipment on the bus. With your rental paperwork in hand, equipment can be returned to the base store on your last day of skiing/riding. Stock up on locker tokens on Day 1.

Was in Steamboat on a guys weekend ski trip. Hadnt skied in over 30 years, staff was super friendly, helpful and FUN! None of that Im cooler than you judgement stuff. Online ordering was simple (and saved me a bunch of $$). Definitely the place to pick up skis, and the fact you can return them on the mountain or in the village is awesome. This is the place to rent your ski gear! Very helpful staff, especially Austin the manager. They set up our family with equipment fast and it was super easy. Well maintained equipment and plenty of options. Highly recommend.

Customer care, service, and attention to detail was exemplary at this location. David was super knowledgeable (and patient with my tortuous decision making) with goggles (eventually went with #smith I/O mag and I’m super stoked with them) while Chase thoughtfully found the perfect riding jacket for my lady (#roxy rocks again) and Nichole found us additional information and was gracious in checking inventory. We experienced zero pressure and a super team environment too.

Amazing service! Travis really helped us out, we were in there multiple times throughout the day with various problems and the service was absolutely amazing every time. If you need ski gear then go here and they will hook you up with some great stuff.

The people here were fantastic. Very nice and helpful. I chose to pick up from this location figuring the lines at the gondola at Steamboat would be long and the selection there would be limited. They actually have plenty of equipment at the location at the resort as well, but it was nice to have a more relaxed pick-up experience at this location. I got the demo package and switched out some gear at the resort later in the day and it worked out perfectly.

What a weird feeling to stand in a store waiting for 15 minutes for someone to help you when the counter people are standing around in groups, chatting with one another. And then when one of them finally notices you there, no apology or any explanation for why they just completely ignored the customers for 15 minutes. Service 101: when a customer asks you if you carry extra wide shoe sizes, do not respond I have no idea. We actually had to open the cabinets below the display goggles ourselves to find ones to buy. Again, no apology at the cash register, whose attendant had to have noticed us rummaging through cabinets normally reserved for sales staff because we were literally two feet away. Prices are very high, possibly worth it if the service was impeccable. There are well known brands sold here, so if you have the unfortunate bad luck to have forgotten a key piece of equipment or clothing, youll likely find it here. Expect to pay a pretty penny, though.

Quick efficient service. In and out with the perfect fit! Turned in the skis at the base of the slopes. Only recommendation would be to explain the perks of leaving skis at the mountain and lockers available for rent. I didn’t realize this until the end of my ski trip. It is a great perk of renting from Christy Sports!

I ordered all new patio furniture for my new house in Denver. Customer service was excellent. Laura provided me with the best care and offered a variety of floor products but also allowed me to order directly from the catalog. everything I ordered was delivered quickly and assembled for me. This store rocks. I plan on getting all of my patio furniture from them in the future.

Purchased the premium package thru advanced reservation. When we arrived they were ready fro us right away with plenty of helpful staff. Fitting and getting out the door was a zip!After first day of skiing I decided I needed longer skis. No problem. Didnt even have to leave the mountain. Went into their shop right there at Gondola Square and was out the door with just what I wanted in just a few minutes. No hassles.Then, unfortunately, I got sick and ended up unable to ski beyond the first two days of a scheduled six. We took my equipment back and we inquired about a possible refund. Again, no problem.In short: These guys have really nice equipment, helpful staff, they were flexible to my needs, and they have very convenient locations. I know where I will go for equipment next time - Christy Sports.

I arrived at 8am on a Friday to pick up my skis for a 1 day rental. The staff was nice and got me on my way quickly. I was the only customer. I am a novice skier, but I was very happy with the skis. When I returned the skis around 5pm or so, they had other customers. I had to wait some, but it was not unreasonable. This location was cheaper than the ones that are at the slopes.

The team at Christys was exceptional. I got a great deal by reserving my equipment on line in advance of my trip. The store was not crowded and the team was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. After one day of skiing i had a fit problem with one boot - just not a good match for my foot - and the team there was VERY helpful in finding one that was. The next 4 days of skiing were fantastic thanks to their insight and assistance. Im grateful for their help. A GREAT team!

Went in to get a pair of skis adjusted for a new set of boots. They took care of things and got the boots fitting great. It wasnt busy when we stopped by so they did the adjustment very quickly and even did it free of charge.

These guys are awesome! Setup us with with skies, boots, and poles that were perfect for our kids and we were in and out in 15 minutes. After wearing the boots for a little while my 15 year old decided he wanted to exchange them and we were able to do that right on the mountain at the Christie Sports located at the base of the gondola. I feel we got the best price possible and the people were VERY nice and easy to work with! I highly recommend you use Christie Sports if you are in Steamboat! Great service and staff is always helpful. Less busy and more personal than the rental store on the mountain. The bonus is that you can leave your skis at the Christy Rental place on the mountain after skiing and pick them up the next morning - very convenient.

Best place in town to rent your ski/snowboard equipment for your vacation. Easy online pre-order process. Fast and quick pick-up in store. Employees at the store were all helpful with sizing equipment and getting everything ready. The learn-to-ride boards were very forgiving on the mountain and we were able to take them on the BLUE courses at the end of our vacation. Unfortunately my wife had an accident on the slope in the middle of our trip. There skis did what they were suppose to do and pop off at the time of the fall. I went back to the location just to bring the skis back. Management and the team there saw she had an extra day rental and without even asking, they refunded the 1 day she wasnt able to ride. AWESOME!!!Free storage at the base of the mountain location and free repairs there too. Everyone was very helpful and courteous on our vacation. Thanks Christy Sports for your excellent services!!!

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children have just arrived back from our holiday in Steamboat Springs. I reserved our equipment online from Australia. When we arrived, our equipment was all ready to collect and the girls were great setting up the skis etc. We were in and out in no time. We also appreciated that we were able to have our skis waxed at no charge at the Gondola Square shop. Great customer service at a good price. Will definately rent again with you guys when we are back in Steamboat.

The staff was friendly and professional. We were able to use the mountain location with a ski locker and turn in skis there at the end of the day. Made it very convenient. The rental was the lowest in the area and worth it. Am a satisfied repeat customer.

Super helpful staff

I cant say enough about the boot repair shop. I came in from skiing on the elevator limping from an extremely painful foot and Leif just happen to see me. He immediately noticed and offered to help get my boot off and told me to follow him to the boot fitting department. The expertise and knowledge of he and another worker ( didnt get his name) were amazing. They were both so helpful and knew exactly what my problem was. In no time at all I was on my way with a heel lift and had a great day the following day. Thanks, Leif, for your excellent customer service. In addition to helping me, they also took care of a couple of small issues with my husbands boots. Great job and would recommend a boot fitting by them to anyone!!

A little small, but worth checking to see if they have the ski gear you want, and a small selection of kids snow clothing. Womens snow clothing was all small sizes, like slim Size 8-10. Even the few XL sweaters or vests were a slim teenager profile. Nothing for larger curvier women.

I had an excellent experience. The entire staff was extremely helpful and accommodating to my needs. I needed to rent skis for several days, but not consecutive days, and the staff said that would be no problem. They let me keep my equipment even on the days I was not skiing for no charge.I also had to trade out my sons snowboard boots at another facility, Powdertools, and received a complete credit from the Christy Sports store for the change with no questions asked. I will certainly use this store in the future for all my rental, skiing and snowboard needs.Thanks again

Having decided to rent instead of haul skis through the airport, I could not have been happier with my decision. Christy Sports catered to every request and detail.I even switched my skis mid-way through the week at the Gondola location for a stiffer ski. No problem whatsoever. Great customer service. Skylar talked to me about the difference in skis so I could choose what I felt comfortable with. He also noticed some wear on the bindings and switched them out immediately. A manager helped me change a rental date with no fuss, even though it was my mistake. I would certainly choose to rent skis from this Christy Sports again.

Renting from Christy Sports was a great call. They have several locations in Steamboat Springs so we chose the Central Park location for two reasons:1.) Close to our lodging2.) Rental rates were $12 less per day than renting from their location at the base near the Gondola.You have the same options of storage and swapping out your equipment at the Gondola location even though we rented at the Central Park location which was very convenient. Customer service was excellent at both locations.It was a pleasure to see the employees take pride in their work who handle the storage of your skis or boards. You could take the elevator up from the plaza level to the 3rd floor where the storage and rental is located and the staff would take your equipment and give you a ticket with your storage number in less than a minute even with a crowd. Boo Yaah the employees would yell they were so on top of taking care of everyone at such a fast pace.

Linda, the manager is the very best in the U.S. for running a ski house. She knows product, hires and retains staff of a caliber not to be found elsewhere, and is THE place in Steamboat if you want to gdt fitted with the latest and greatest on the market, by people that take all the guesswork out of the process at any level.We have rented form them many times now, and unlike others we ski with that have rented elsewhere due to their lack of familiarity with the area, we have never had issues. If we have needed adjustments on one occasion, we had it done at the base without question.

I have rented from Christys for 15 years and they are always great. This trip I needed help at 3 of the Steamboat locations and the staff at all 3 were so helpful, friendly and patient. Great place to rent and buy equipment, etc. New equipment this year as well.

Traveling in from North Carolina, I reserved my skiis on line. Arriving in Steamboat, my ski package was waiting for me and the adjustment to my boots only took a few minutes. Great customer service!!! I will rent there again on my next visit. Great price on the rental package too.

I have been renting ski gear from this location for 10 years now. The staff are always friendly. Even when they get longer line of renters, they are upbeat and pleasant. i will continue to use them for my ski rental needs.

We lost our dog on the day we were supposed to ski, so I called and let them know we couldnt get them back that day. I told them we were going snowmobiling the next day and THEN skiing. They said to keep the skis and theyd just charge us for one day. They even asked how our dog was when we brought them in!

UPDATE: adding two stars for the Store Managers Customer Service. Claire reached out after reading this review, she offered a full refund and described several fallacies she assured would be brought up to the staff. Well I forgot my boots on my snowboard trip, after checking prices online I decided to go with Christy as boots were advertised online for $15/boot as opposed to Fleischer who had theirs advertised as $20/boot. The man who helped me (wish i caught his name) was more enamored with the fact that another customer was a teacher at his old middle school. After requesting a 9.5 Double-Boa system, he brings out 9.5 boots with just a single Boa knob, throws them down and asks you know how these work? so I again ask if they have any doubles and his reply is these are rentals ok cool man so you dont do boot demos? you just do board and binding demos? thanks for explaining... So he tightens the inner sole, VERY VERY LOOSELY and asks how does it feel It was at that point I realized this man had no idea how the boa system worked, obviously has never even put on a snowboard boot to even see how they worked, so why the hell is he helping me when there are 4 other employees standing around?? After I finally get them on right, I tell him that they fit a little loose, that my ankle is sliding around, his response Well, these are rental boots yes and there is a reason I am coming to you to get them, I am not going to some backwoods Craigslist rental post, I am paying you to provide me a proper service. At this point I honestly should have just walked away but we were already late to the mountain and basically 3/4 through the process. He brings out some 9s, they fit fine and I go to check out. Final price comes out to be $40. doesnt it say $15/boot on your website? Cashier: well yeah but thats if you order them online. Is this serious? why cant I just go online right now in line and set up a rental?? Maybe the one at the base of the mountain is better but do not go to the one in town!! Very simple processes are convoluted, I hated every minute I spent in there and could not wait to return the boots. Horrible staff expertise with very poor communication skills.

We recently traveled to Steamboat Springs. I reserved our equipment online & made special requests. When we arrived, they allowed us to pick up our equipment the evening before without any extra charges, accomodated our special requests & gave us a prompt refund when one of our skiiers got injured!!
