Would not even look at my bag before telling me that they could not help me. We cannot help you right you because we have a single worker. I wanted to drop it off for pickup at a later time, but the person at the counter immediately dismissed me.
PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING!!!My husband and I had the WORST experience EVER possible at this Taylor for our bridal party and his grooms suit/ bridal party. To begin the place is very small, smells like smoke and they make you go through three people before actually talking to someone who remotely understands English and knows what he saying. We had a bridal party of about 15 people who we rented suits from which by the way were not cheap at all. We looked through the book and we ordered slim fit suits, they came regular fit and were as huge as possible. He required the boys to get a minimum of THREE alterations for each suit. They still came out terrible and the quality was terrible. Half of the groomsmen had to go to other places such as Sam Michael to get new suits and we had to pay double price. We still PAID FULL PRICE FOR 6 SUITS THAT DIDNT EVEN GET WORN because the quality and fit was so terrible and the boys went to somewhere PROFESSIONAL. All my wedding photos were ruined. Please please please we went to this place based off reviews and it was such a terrible experience. They did nothing to help. We paid double to to other people having to go get their suits from PROFESSIONAL places. PLEASE DONT GO THERE! We wasted so much time and money and the entire family and bridal party was so upset. THEY EVEN ORDERED the WRONG COLOR SUITS for the ring boy and candle boy!!! WORST PLACE EVER!! Would like to give a 0
I am very happy with Johns work. I needed to shorten windows sheers. Like always he did a great job ! I really appreciate his old school high work ethics. Rare quality today ! He takes pride of his work ! Every time I needed something to be done, he always did an excellent job. And his prices are better than any other place I know.

I must have driven past 20 other tailor shops to bring my old leather jacket from Chesterfield to John and I would do it again. He put in a new liner and pockets, conditioned the leather, and made it look like new again. He does fantastic work for a very reasonable price. Thank you, John!

John the Tailor is the best! I ordered an outfit for an event, and it didnt arrive until less than 48 hours for the event. John the Tailor was so accommodating to my emergency and was able to get my outfit tailored to perfection in less than 24 hours. His price was completely reasonable, whereas the tailor Ive been using for years would have charged me double. Im happy to say Im John the Tailors new loyal, lifelong customer. He does excellent work and is such a nice man.

John did an excellent job in the most expeditious manner in sewing on a military rank and a name on my new Army patrol cap!!! I had taken this work to another tailor previous, and it turned out so awful that I had to take the rank and the name off. Not only John knew exactly what needed to be done, but he got the work done very quickly while I waited. A great tailor!!!

Had a schott jacket that needed the sleeves shortened and was afraid to take it in somewhere that might ruin it. Took it to John who took time to understand the problem and look the jacket over for the best approach. He only took 2 days to get it back to me. The sleeves were perfect after. If I could give him 10/5 stars I would!

Great tailor. Takes the time to listen and make sure your alterations are done right. From darting a shirt, to tapering your raw denim, and everything in between. Conveniently located in Sterling Heights.I definitely recommend them.
He did an awesome job doing alterations to some articles of clothing I brought to him. He even made a great suggestion for shortening the sleeves on a blazer because I always roll up my sleeves and I loved the outcome! I highly recommend him for any alternation you may need because not only does he do a great job, but his prices are very reasonable.
John did a great job on my leather motorcycle jacket. He shortened the sleeves, did it perfect and had it ready the next morning. Just as a bonus, he is a really nice man.

WONDERFUL, professional job! John altered my WEDDING dress and did an absolutely phenomenal job. I wouldnt trust this to just anyone, but my mother spoke very highly of him so I gave him a shot. After just two visits, the dress fit like a glove!John was very professional and you could not even tell the dress was taken in or altered in anyway. Looks like it was made for me. I was reluctant at first since theres mostly suits and ties in the shop, but please go check him out! And he was way more reasonably priced than any of those bridal shops or boutique stores. I brought in a $900 Hugo Boss down jacket because sleeves are too long and it is too baggy. He altered the whole jacket as slim fit with keeping all the original seam patterns and stitches. Highly recommended, will def come again

This is your chance to really be green and eco friendly. Instead of landfilling your old favorite shirt, or the kids jacket with the jacked up zipper, why not get them repaired? I just picked up my leather jacket today. It was Ithink left arm sleeve was torned and a dime size hole on it. It was fantastic job John did. I could not tell which side of the sleeve I asked to fix. Just I was surprised his professionalism. Thank you, John. I should take a pictures of before and after. This is my first visit. I also recommend to try on him and to see yourself. Only thing I did not like is that the store is smell of tobacco.
I had a bridesmaids dress thay needed to be altered. Every other place told me they needed 3-4 weeks. I took it into John, and he had it beautifully altered in ten days for a very fair price, (he even gave me a gift for choosing him!). John works beautifully, quickly, and with fair pricing!

Called around to a bunch of tailors in the area to find someone to reline my motorcycle jacket and John was the only one that could do it.I thought I was going to have to send it to a place that does liners online but really didnt wanna have the hassle of shipping it and hopeing it comes back good.Got the coat back in a week and for the same price the online vender wanted minus the shipping and added wait time. The jacket looks like new again and I couldnt be happier with the job he did.

Horrible experience. I came here because a friend of mine was getting their garment altered and I needed a tuxedo for a wedding. He sold me a tux that did not fit properly and by the time he was done with his alterations it was too late for me to go somewhere else. When I picked up my tux and told him This is not fitting right he just said no one buttons up their tux your fine. At that point there was nothing I could do because the wedding was the next day. Please don not be fooled by this man he will sell you a cheap tuxedos and will lie and cheat just to get a sale. He ruined the entire wedding for me and my entire family!

Took my daughters prom dress to another tailor in the area. When we went to pick it up on Wednesday (prom was Friday) he informed us he screwed up the date and hadnt even started the alterations and no way could he have it done on time! We scrambled to find someone who could get the alterations done in one day. I called John the Tailor, he was a little hesitant as that wasnt much time but said to bring the dress in so he could look at it. He saw our desperation and told us he would do it and have it done by the next day. The dress turned out perfect, he was a life saver and I HIGHLY recommend him!!! Thanks again John!!!

The straps of my dress were too big for me so he took out the extra material from there. However, he didnt do the same amount on both sides so the bottom of my dress was uneven. Also, before we left we had asked him about the wrinkles in the dress and he said he would steam it -- he didnt. Furthermore, he (or someone) smokes in the shop so my dress was returned reeking of tabacco. It was disgusting.
