Been buying meat here for more than 3 years .From all of the meat stores I have been to, Jouni Meat of Sterling Heights is the cleanest and friendliest place. I have been buying meat from them for over a year and the meat has always been fresh and delicious. The owner is very friendly and easy to talk to. They accommodate every order just like you want it and are always smiling. The prices are good, the meat is good, the store is clean, and the staff are friendly. This is a 5 star establishment, if I could give them more stars I would. Any cut, any preference you have and they will make it happen. Service is priceless. Keep it up guys, you guys are doing an amazing job.

Went twice. No masks on anyone working there, even when they talk to you. To me, thats already enough for one star. Next, the NY Strip I got was on its last day at best. Had a funky old meat smell. Will not be going back, even though I try to support the halal butchers as much as possible.

My parents ordered a goat for Eid Al Adha and this was the first time we had gotten it from here. Their price was reasonable and they did such a great job in packaging and cutting up the meat up. Most importantly the quality of the meat was fantastic. Meat was very delicious.Thanks for friendly customer service and a great experience.🙂

I have been buying meat for my home for more than 15 years from all over the states. From all of the meat stores I have been to, Jouni Meat of Sterling Heights is the cleanest and friendliest place. Very sanitary. Staff do not inadvertently cross contaminate surfaces. A steady stream of clients. But you won’t wait long. The quality is excellent.

My wife Shopped here in December of 2020 purchased $53.53 worth of frozen oxtail, was told if I didn’t like how it look to bring it back for a refund, so when I saw the meat when she got home we agreed to take it back because I didn’t like how it looked, they took it back but we never got a refund of our money 🤷🏽‍♂️Lesson learned always pay cash at places like this

I have always had a good experience (with the exception of a few errors) at Jouni. The guys that work there are courteous and to the point. I have no complaints. I do wish that they would carry fresh deli meats.

I am going this shop almost every Sunday for last 2.5yrs to buy only baby goat meat. Most of them time it is good, but sometime they sell old stock and aged coat though it is called baby coat. Today I had very bad experience they given me few rotten pieces baby coat along with aged one. When I took it back to them first they were trying replace only rotten pieces instead of replacing full 2 lb. when I asked them to replace full and give fresh good one which I shown them what I need, they were not ready. They just keep saying all are same. I know for 100% sure it is not the same. Just returned back the money seems like they are not much concerned about customer service since they are better than other meat shop around this area. They need to improve lot more in customer service. Don’t sell old stocks and aged one. Segregate and sell only good one, you will have more customer than what you have now.

Great location with friendly staff and a good selection of lamb, beef, and poultry products. The prices are competitive with any large corporate grocery store and the products far exceed the quality. The staff will cut and butcher your meat however you want too. Definetly a great place for anyone looking for Halal or kosher meats for religious or health purposes.

Excellent service, friendly people! I got there minutes before closing and they still took their time to complete my order to my satisfaction.

Went and asked specifically goat meat, but when cooked realized it was not a goat meat. This is such a upsetting, I had to throw 10 lb of meat i will never go to this shop again.you can not trust these guys.

The best in town

Their products are fabulous and so is their customer service!! They always have everything neatly packaged for us when we arrive and they always greet us first when we open the door! Im pretty sure everyone in Michigan is spoiled by having their pick of butchers, but Ill probably never get my meat from anywhere else! :D

Ive been on/off shopping here for years. Their products (chicken/beef/lamb) are good, but their service is poor. It is strictly business for them, and based on the other few good comments on here, they may only be friendly to Caucasians or Middle Eastern folks - not Indians, etc... I brought my son there once, and they didnt even bother to acknowledge him and we were the only ones in the store. They went on chopping up the meat and looking up at the TV. They always do that to me - chop & look up at the TV, I thought they would at least say hi to my 2yr old.I am always uncomfortable going there and want to get out of there asap! Does anyone recommend any other places??

I have been to this place for few times and every time they gave me the chicken that was little reddish.which means it is not fresh rather sitting in the freezer for a while. Chicken is fresh when it looks pinkish. I moved to Troy so bought chicken here few times before finally deciding on driving extra miles to other halal meat places than be sold old stock. Hate this place.

I think that the people who gave first few reviews must be thinking of a different place, because i have gone here for years drive out of my way to get there. mainly because of the service, the family. Always showing an interest in how my family and i are doing and making a point to remember us and keep us in mind. And the quality of their meat are also exceptional as well. Its hard to find places like this anymore in our world. these people with negative reviews must have walked in there with their own bad attitude and though the guys there would never say this so i will say it for them. they are straight to the point and are not out to kiss stuck up peoples behinds for there business. Shop there u will love them too.

Sign says open until 7. I guess 6:45 is the new 7. This review has nothing to do with the quality of the product which this place serves. However, I did drive 20 minutes for nothing.

The meat and chicken is good..but the staff over there gets frustrated easily

I wish I could say I like buying my meat from this place, but unfortunately i cannot. On more than a few occasions Ive been sold the wrong meat I requested. I asked for a tender roast I got a chunk of meat that is supposed to be used for ground beef... My roast got tougher and tougher in the oven. Yesterday I asked for ribeye steaks and came home to see that it wasnt at all a ribeye. Meat was tough and not tasty at all. Ribeye should always be marbled with fat. This is only a few times that I am mentioning this. I will never ever buy meat from here and waste my time or money. Too bad these people are not honest. I will stick to going to eastern market and purchasing my meat that is great quality and affordable!!!

Very bad meat shop. I have not seen this rude ppl in this country. They really dont want any business. Zero at customer service. I donno how this shop even exists. Very bad arab people I have ever seen in this country. Never even thought of buying anything from these butchers. They could not even show the courtesy to show what all meats they had, when asked for. Guys, dont ever buy anything from here.

Please dont buy goat meat because it is lamb. I asked them couple of times they said it is goat but it is Lamb.

Very bad meat shop. They have us mutton which was smelling and when we complained they refused to do any thing. Worst people and very rude. Dont buy from there go to Akbar marketplace instead.
