Been couple of times here excellent costumer service they even gave advice on how find stuff they dont carry
The worst medical supply store in town! A bunch of crooks! They have airheads running the place. When your equipment arrives, they sell it to someone else and claim that your insurance company didn’t approve it!
Worst service ever, they take forever to process a script and ship a medical equipment, you have to call them constantly to remind them of your forgotten order (it took them over a month to ship a CPAP machine and a mask). They also document incorrect information in the patients chart and mix them up with other patients.They documented that I ordered 4 CPAP masks and I hand picked them from the store, which is incorrect, I never went to their store, all orders happened through the phone and were shipped to my house through their supplier and I only ordered 2 masks not 4.Very bad service and I regret using them, also I will never recommend them to anyone, they are an embracement to our community and they dont deserve the one star.....
Called to ensure what i was looking for was physicially in stock at this location before i drive there. the associate that answers the phone could not tell me more than they should be but im not there so i dont know... This is HORRENDOUS customer service. How do you service people with medical needs if this is how you treat them?
Every time I call here, the phone is always picked up and “Shan Medical” is said in the most boring, unwelcoming and unfriendly tone I’ve ever experienced in a business. This is in addition to being put on hold for extended amounts of time. Then, once you actually get through to someone, the staff try to rush you off the phone like you are just plain bothering them. I’m sorry, do I have to say excuse me for being a customer and bothering you?I have to call regularly to have them order my recurring supplies correctly because it appears that no one keeps accurate record of them for some reason. They’ve consistently claimed that “x item(s) will be delivered every 3/6/etc. months”; yet unless I call, wondering what is going on, they don’t appear to me. They like to blame previous staff for “setting it up wrong” in their system. This place is a joke. I just want my medical items to get to me correctly. I shouldn’t have to call all the time to make sure they are correct. On a side note, I hope the staff there find joy and happiness in their lives because it sounds like they are seriously deprived of it from this place.
Ive been taking care of my disable brother for 10 years now without incident. Over the past several years my brother has been fully covered by Medicare and Medicaid for all of his medical expenses. Approx. 2 years ago Shan Medical Equipment took over the contract for the Michigan Division. Today, I contacted this company; Moe, looking for my brothers milk and bandages just to be told that I had to pay $3500 or put a credit card on file because they have not received payment from Medicare for previous services. However, my brothers insurance is still active and Moe stated that the services were not denied by Medicare. I reminded Moe that he was contracted with Medicare and this was something that he had to take up with his billing company and Medicare. He stated that he would not send my brother his life preserving food until he was given a credit card for payment. This is a horrible company and I hope that they will suffer appropriate consequences for their illegal actions.
Not sure what went down with the one star people on here, but i can honestly say, this place has the most professional and friendly staff, everytime Ive gone in theyve been very pleasant and accommodating. I think people should try this place for themselves before making your choice based only on these reviews.
I always come here for compression stockings and love their products! The staff was so helpful directing me to the product that would work best for me and sizing me while I was in the store so they fit perfect! I recommend them to all of my family and friends.
Good place with nice employees. The hold times when calling are really long and the staff could be more knowledgable in certain areas relating to medical equipment which is why Im rating 3 stars. As usual the only people posting negative reviews are those who can barely speak English, unfortunately this a common trend among business review websites.
Waited 45 minutes for service and was ignored, horrible place they have one employee servicing everyone with no way to identify who is next. Go somewhere else!!!
I went in for compression stockings and they were so helpful. They measured me and gave me exactly what I needed. They made sure that I was satisfied with the fit and even showed me the easiest way to put on compression stockings.
They fitted my father for a shoe it came in did not fit him. They suggested wider size shoes. They want to charge $25 for there mistake. The employee had attitude. I will not recommend this place to anyone. The worst customer services. Oh on top of all that I asked to speak to the owner. she insisted that he is not available. Also my mother had prescription for a walker. she informed that this is not covered by her insurance. We left there went to Benson Medical Supplies in Troy. They verified that she is eligible for a walker. I have been there customer for a very long time. The staff there are not interested in helping their patient.
Went in there for compression Stockings, the girl that helped me was nice and helpful, she called my insurance to make sure I have met all my requirements, show me how to wear the stockings. I recommend this place :). Thank you

They have the best patient care. They go above and beyond for their customers. They treat everyone like family. I highly recommend this medical equipment.
Took my dad in for Cpap machine and the staff was very helpful and informative... even went through the process with us twice to make sure we understood proper instructions .... def going back
They don’t even deserve that one star.I’m not from Michigan. I just moved to Michigan and when I visited this place they don’t even have a friendly crew around. Also, they are very rude I called them to ask them about their address and their response was very unprofessional and RUDE. I’ll never come here again and shame on you guys. And I don’t know how the owner hired people like that.

You’re never greeted at this place. The girls are rude and not ever have a smile on their face. They Don’t offer to call your Dr for your script, and treat patients like they do not know what they’re taking about. Measurements for mastectomy bras are never right, and how dare we ask for an exchange (even when it’s their fault for the incorrect measurements).
First, I would like to state that not everyone who visits this business will have the same experience my daughter and I did. Some people will have a very positive experience and I am glad they will be satisfied with their visit.My daughter and I visited this medical equipment supply to rent a small rollabout for her broken ankle. She isnt able to use crutches because she has rheumatoid arthritis. Upon our entering the store we saw the item right away and my daughter tried it out. After a few minutes in the store a young lady asked if we could be helped. I shared that we would like to rent the item and the response from her was that it was not going to be covered on our medical insurance and that the cost for the rental was $69.00 per month. I stated that on our insurance it is a covered benefit. The response from the young lady was that it wasnt and that they do not have the insurance billing codes to bill the insurance. So we called my daughters insurance and verified that yes, the item is a covered benefit, and with another phone call obtained the proper billing code so they could bill the insurance. We provided the obtained information to the young lady helping us, and she would not accept the billing code. The first young lady who inquired if we could be helped and informed us that we would not be receiving insurance coverage stated that they could attempt to bill the insurance and when it gets rejected they would bill my credit card that they expected me to provide them upon rental. I thanked them for their time and said I would feel more comfortable going elsewhere.We ended up at Crittenton Medical Supply who happily accepted our insurance card, is going to bill the insurance and our out of pocket expense is $6.50 per month.I had a lot of doubt that SME would have even attempted to bill the insurance, and this concern was reinforced when every person who walked in the door was told that their insurance would not cover whatever they were there for. How do the employees know if a benefit is covered or not without even asking what type of insurance people have and looking up the health plan to determine if an item is covered or not? Also, as a medical supplier they should have access to the insurance billing codes and the codes shouldnt need to be provided by the patient.I would not recommend this business unless you want to pay extra for medical benefits that you probably are already paying for with your premium, deductible, and out of pocket costs.

My 82 years old dad orderd sucks and never received them, so we called to figure out what happened They claimed that they where sent and received. Because they had the wrong zip code we never got them.The Cost of the sucks are not even worth me writing this paragraph. But Im just warning you guys of this fake company. Please be aware thank you.
Best Medical supply company around Metro Detroit. They have everything you need and the owner Ali is really kind and knowledgeable.
Charged me double $50 for pair of compression socks which are $25 in the market, too much.
