My father got the ring that he used to marry my mother, my brothers did the same with their wives, and now it was my turn. It really felt like I was in good hands as I had absolutely no knowledge of diamonds but they took the time to educate me as to what differentiates a good diamond from a great one without having to go overboard in price. Since getting this and becoming more knowledgeable, Im a bit flabbergasted as to how well I was taken care of by them as for this quality, I would have had to pay double elsewhere. When the day comes, I know where I am going to be taking my kids.

!!!BEWARE!!!ILLEGAL, POORLY MADE JEWELRY WITH POOR COSTUMER SERVICEThe owner designed my engagement ring and was less than accommodating and extremely rude when I wanted to make a few tweaks to the design. He was extremely difficult to communicate with as he was taking my tweaks as an insult. He was so difficult to communicate with, his daughter and wife had to step in assisting in explaining the small changes I wanted and “calm” him down. We made it known, we were willing to pay for the changes as well, and were not asking for anything for free. He was so difficult, we just dropped the topic of any modifications entirely.At the same time and giving him the benefit of the doubt, we had him make my wedding band. The end product was extremely poor quality. The prongs were never buffed and finished and were left in rough form. He cut corners and it looked awful. We had to have another jeweler fix it, even thought we paid for a finished product.On top of being extremely difficult to work with, Birmingham Jewelry completely ripped us off.After visiting a few reputable certified jewelers to have my rings fix, I found out that my rings are illegal because the owner did not to put a quality stamp and manufacturer stamp on the inside of either of my rings. The quality stamp is supposed to show the quality of the metal (14k, 12k, etc.) and the manufacturer stamp is which jeweler made it. Each jeweler is assigned their own stamp. There is a law in place that pieces of jewelry sold in the United States, must have both stamps. This law is in place to protect consumers and prevent jewelers from misrepresenting what they’re selling by saying a piece of jewelry is one thing and it be another (smaller caret weight etc). A receipt holds no weight when it comes to jewelry.After receiving another appraisal from a certified appraiser, we learned the stones in my engagement ring were much, much smaller and worth much less than what was in Birmingham Jewelry’s appraisal, receipt and what we were told we were purchasing.Birmingham Jewelry completely and intentionally misrepresented what we were paying good money for.To top it all off, my husband’s tungsten carbine ring has completely tarnished, which is a sign of very cheap grade material and not jewelry quality.I strongly suggest, if you have previously purchased jewelry from here, you check and see if there is both quality stamp and manufacturer stamp on the inside of your jewelry. If not, you may have been sold something completely different than what you were told you were purchasing and have most likely been ripped off.If you have a special occasion in your life coming up, don’t let these fakes ruin it by giving them your hard earned money and business.

Bought my now fiancé an engagement ring from here. Got a killer deal on a beautiful classic ring with a timeless look. My fiancé has a very small finger. 3 1/2 and I had no clue until she tried the ring on which was likely a 6 or a 7. I brought them the ring at 5 on a Tuesday and by 12 PM the next day they did an unbelievable job turning the ring into a 3 1/2. The top of the band has 14 diamonds which curl into the center stone, I’m sure it was a difficult ring to do this to and it took their in house jeweler not even a day to get it done.Friendly staff who were very helpful and accommodating to my questions and give smart suggestions. Couldn’t recommend this store and their staff enough.

Gregory did a wonderful job repairing my opal ring and my wedding ring . they look brand new. It just took days for the repairs to be done .he was very quick. He suggested I bring in any gold jewelry I wasn’t using anymore and we could use it towards the cost of the repairs. I did this and ended up paying a third of the cost of my repairs. My mom passed away a while ago and I brought in some of her jewelry for his opinion . I was having a total meltdown when I recognized that my Medical Alert bracelet had broken with lost links. I immediately called Gregory and Reba, explained my issue, and was told to come now. I went there and they offered an array of replacement possibilities. They helped me select the best one to fit my wrist. While waiting for Gregory to switch from the broken chain to the new one, they cleaned the gold jewelry that I was wearing. I highly recommend them as they are my go-to jeweler for 30 years.
