At 1st I was giving 5 stars but my follow after signing paperwork is really bad Ive taken my car back due noticing lost of rust under my 2017 escape with only 56,000 miles I was told if I look at any vehicle thats a 2017 on the road itll be covered in rust just like mine so theres nothing to be worried about Ive called the dealership four times now trying to figure out how or where to receive my plates for my vehicle I have yet to receive an answer or a call back even though I left three voicemails with my phone number stating that Ive called three times and that I would love a phone call back I also talked to the dealership many a times trying to figure out if my car has more than one key because the car States it has three sets of keys I have not got a clear answer on that either I understand my car came from another dealership which is still their companys dealership it may take some time to get the keys but at least give me an answer I was very excited to be part of the family with kunes but I feel like now that I signed the papers I am no longer importantAdded to review its the whole bottom of my car everywhere but where it covered but car protection. I was never told that the court house is where I pick up. If I knew that I would not be riding with temp tags. I cant believe they have the nerves to say they told me theses things and Ill figure out how to load picture of rust they also told me that I can get undercoating done which was only 30 minutes from Chicago I live in Davenport Iowa how is that helpful for me I will have to post a different review to add pictures I think but if this is how you all treat people its very bad . Follow up appointment tomorrow. At this time seems a salesman mislead my 69 year old father into believing the finance company required the nearly 9k in warranties added to loan. Sadly I can not miss work to make sure he is not taken advantage of again. For anyone reading this, yes the dealership has plenty of positive reviews but consider the fact that some, apparently are chosen to be taken advantage of and do you really want to do business with an establishment willing to take advantage of fellow consumers likely marked as easy targets. The outcome tomorrow will determine how many consumer reporting agencies report this to, how many letters I send to my US representative with my example and others posted related to predatory practices at Kunes Sterling and if I update this review.

Jacob Fredrickson worked with me for several weeks (my choice) to find just the right vehicle for what fit my budget. Jeff made this experience truly effortless and stress free and from past experiences and less than perfect credit, I was expecting to walk away empty handed but Jeff literally went out of his way to not only get me the car I said I liked, it was newer and hardly any miles on it but the best part is before I got there he told me I was already approved for the car and he was absolutely right, no games and nothing hiding around the corner to end the deal. I got a call a few days ago about setting up a job interview for a salesman. The general manager said he will talk to the head of sales right away but that was a lie to get me to go away. How are you supposed to gain experience as a car salesman when they wont hire you because you have no experience in that field also I have a speech impediment thats one of the main reasons why the general manager lied to me about having a interview for the salesman position. Im so heartbroken because of the discrimination for the speech impediment I cant help it. I just want to follow my dreams by becoming a salesman. I really wanted the interview and the job.

I had a wonderful experience with Kunes. Alicia is a great person she found me a vehicle that worked for my family and I. My first vehicle buying off a car lot and Alicia made it all worth it.

They use deceptive bait-and-switch advertising practices and will tell you one thing while burying the real details in the fine print. When asked about this, they would not elaborate. Due to their lack of openness and transparency, I dont feel like I can trust anything they tell me and left with a bad taste in my mouth and a worse impression of them than what I had before I went in. I would never trade or buy a car here and I dont see why anyone else would either.Furthermore, no one in the building was wearing masks, and they dont seem to be taking COVID-19 seriously.

We went to Kunes Country to look into purchasing a new vehicle. Our jeep that we had actually broke down in their parking lot and Geoffrey and his general manager did everything they could to make sure we were able to leave in a new vehicle. We are struggling at the moment and he helped us get a monthly price that was fair and affordable for us. He and Matthew both were extremely kind and patient with us and we greatly appreciated it. I purchased a 2018 Ford Escape yesterday from Keith Ports at Kunes. It has been 9 years since I have set foot in a car dealer & the 1st doing it without my husband by my side. Needless to say I was lost at how to go about all of this buying issue. Keith instantly made me comfortable & welcomed. I wasnt given a sales pitch that I assumed was coming, instead I was given the consideration of being asked what my needs were & how he could help. The genuineness of Keiths treatment of me on every issue over the course of the days was remarkable to me. Not only did he work with his team to negotiate what I could afford without pushing me for more but he got a deal that can only be called short of a miracle. Once Keiths part was done I was then dealing with Josh Embry, the Business Manager who was equally genuine and forthcoming. I could not have had a better experience or outcome.

Bought a truck from this location and it was having too many issues up until it would not start. They refused to work with me and basically left me high and dry with a vehicle that was incapable of working. I only recommend as a last resort.

My car was in dire need of replacing. It was on its last legs. After some checking online, I got in contact with Jackie S. I live in Rockford, and she spent time getting to know what I wanted and could afford. She then found some vehicles that not only fit what I wanted, but in the price range discussed. After picking out a couple of vehicles that I felt would fit my needs. I scheduled a day to drive down from Rockford to test drive the vehicles picked out. When I arrived she showed me the vehicles we discussed, but she also found one that I hadnt mentioned. Based on our conversation she found one that she felt I would like that I hadnt seen online. She hit the nail on the head. The time she spent getting to know my needs and wants resulted in her finding the perfect vehicle. I would definitely work with Jackie again. Even with the drive down from Rockford.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN.When we first worked with Kunes we purchased a used 2010 Jeep Wrangler in beautiful condition with not too many miles on it. We purchased this around two years ago, but up until the last few weeks we hadn’t had any problems with the car other than normal things that we could take to a mechanic. But with that being said I noticed my car was shaking in park and the engine sounded absolutely terrible so we decided to take it in since we were (supposed to be) covered under an extended warranty that we purchased for $3800 extra. And after our experience lately I never want to give Kunes country a single penny again. We miraculously found out that this extended warranty we paid extra money for was supposed to cover most major things that they can fix. But when we talked to the GM and service workers, we suddenly discovered that the warranty we had was under the lowest warranty but we still paid the same amount for the extended warranty. Where our money went? Not a clue! They just wanted their original estimate of $1900! The financial representatives that sold it to us were no longer with the company for reasons they couldn’t disclose. But they assured us that my alternator that went out would be something covered. So we said to go ahead and fix it but anything else wrong we would be taking somewhere else. About 2 weeks goes by and we were ready to pick up my car and immediately after take it to a mechanic we trust. But our mechanic realized that the voltage coming from my car was less than the required 12 volts (at the time he checked it was 9.8) and we decided to take it right back to kunes because we had an idea that the alternator they replaced was faulty. Sure enough it is, and 20 minutes after driving off from kunes to our mechanics and back, they informed us it was now at 9.2 volts (My battery would have died by the next day). We’ll now be waiting another week or so for the part to come in again and be fixed for the second time. As far as i’m concerned all Kunes really cares about is making more money and getting you out the door. It’s been a real pleasure doing business with you Kunes, thank you for taking thousands of dollars from us and not being able to disclose where our $3800 went. We’ll be in contact soon!

Horrible!! Purchased my car on may 29,2020. Had a few issues they said they could fit. Drove the car for 3 days Until they came and picked it up for repair. 2 weeks passed still couldnt get car fix. Dropped car off back to me, still wasnt able to drive it. Still out of a car june 29, 2020.Wont allow me to get out of contract

Trying to scam me. Had my vehicle inspected by a very reputable shop that is 5 star rated and then went to see about getting a different vehicle. They started by lying to me and saying it was sold only to have the sales person try to sell it to me. Then they tried to screw me on my trade which I had appraised yesterday at $23,000 they only tried to give $5,000. The engine alone is worth more than that. Just had all services done on it less than 1,500 miles ago. They then tried to take a 6 year old vehicle that KBB values at $12,000 and sell it to me for $21,000. I could go to the local dealer and get a 2019 of the same vehicle they were selling for $23,000. Totally screwing people and only an idiot would buy from them. Anyone with any knowledge who does even 5 minutes of research will see that they are trying to scam you

First impressions are important. Came in to look for a truck. 3 ppl sitting at desks, 2 on their phones- no one stood up to great us. Just looked at us like we had a 3rd eye. Had to ask if anyone sold cars. Finally one answered, he still didnt stand or introduce himself. We told him what we were looking for and he was more concerned with our trade in than showing us any trucks available. Got info on trade, had manager drive it then brought up a truck he thought we wanted. No sense valuing our trade if there was nothing on the lot we may be interested in, but we did take the truck the salesman chose for a test drive- then we couldnt even drive where we wanted to but had to go where he told us. This salesman wasnt knowledgeable about the vehicle and only been selling cars 1 month. Maybe have new ppl shadow someone for 6 months, learn their cars before they try to sell. The office was dirty- stains on the floor and walls, looked like floor hadnt seen a vacuum in months. All in all- Not impressed at all.

I went here for a new vehicle. I did leave with one the day I went in. But the after affect is terrible. I tried to go in the first day just for knowledge more or less. The sales men insisted I come back that day with my kids. Once I arrived my kid was all over the place. I was distracted and took advantage of. I wanted to hurry and get out of there. I was told their Z care package was free. Then charged 2700$ for it. The second I signed the papers there was no help from the sales men. Also told my trade in would be paid off and have so much out down towards another. That wasnt the case my loan is 10k$ more than the vehicle was. Also I HAVE NOT GOT A CALL BACK TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. I will NEVER refer anyone here and I will never go back!
