This is the worst tire shop I’ve ever had to do business with, not only did it take 3 hours for two tires to be mounted and balanced the critter that was behind the register was extremely rude and unhelpful, seemed bothered to have business come through the door. Save your money and go somewhere else, very unprofessional and sketchy business practices

The first time, the manager was super willing to help me find good tires in my price range and do everything he could to help me be able to afford them. Today I took in a flat after I ran over a couple screws, to be repaired. It was done in a timely manner and everyone there was so friendly and willing to help. I have been a Platte River Tires customer for 8 years. Scott and his staff have fixed my tires, sold me new tires, changed my oil and kept my vehicles running smoothly. Heres the thing--none of us want to have to buy new tires, but when I needed them, I got a great deal from Scott and the last set of tires I bought from him gave me more than 60,000 miles. Scott is honest and forthright and will tell you when something is amiss with your vehicle. Ever since I chose this business I have not had one tire issue. I drive a great deal... in fact my last car gave up the ghost at 592,000 miles plus! My current new vehicle now has 125,000 and growing! Scott always takes care of me even when... I just pop in! Does what all needs done and in a very timely fashion too. In Sterling, I have found Scott to be a business man of his word. He does not bullshit on the facts but lays them out there as he sees it. He knows his stuff.. and if one gives a moment to listen, one just might learn something that would be useful down the road. I know I have.. as I drive away knowing all is good with my ride. :)

Great customer service! We got a flat tire in the middle of the night on our way back to Denver. Was to get in right away the next morning, and get our tired fixed. Scott and his team were amazing! We were fortunate to have him here to help us!

Jacob greeted me at the desk and I explained my concern, he politely suggested we give my tires a looking over and check the pressure. Tires were low but in good condition. Jacob added air as needed and the best part was there was no fee, he just wished me safe travels.

Great and fast service! We were in a bind on the way out of town and they got us in quick and back on the road!

Customer service was terrific! Scott can always get you in for an appointment very quick, and they do very quality work. You also get free tire rotations and repairs if you buy your tires from them. Another plus is that they have the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen for a tire shop!

Good deals but the help is grouchy

I called for a quote on some tires (i disclosed that is was just a quote at the start of the call) and after he priced some tires for me and i told him id think about it and wanted to call around he became very rude and pushy. One way to get customers is by NOT being rude to them when they are weighing their options. I recommend H-R across the street, New Life Tire down the road, or even Walmart before i would ever go to Platte Rive Tires.

I took my car in for tires. The owner or manager is very rude. He argued with my concerns about the service to be performed. To much detail to write here. Also when I had a flat the repair was completed with a plug. I specified and paid for a patch. I would prefer to do my business with an establishment who understands I am paying for expert services. I dont need to be stressed about the quality and safety of my vehicle being compromised.

I have been a customer of Platte River Tires for over 10 years. The work they do is great, the prices are competitive, and the people are very pleasant. But what really clinches it is that I know that I can trust them. Its for those reasons that I have been a customer for over 10 years.

I shopped here because I was tired of the other tire shops in town using a impact wrench and over tightening my lug nuts. The owner was very rude to me, however the other employees were very helpful. I specified the work I wanted done per the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer. The owner explained to me that he has 25 years experience and does not care what the specifications say. I ended up buying the tires there only because I knew one of the employees who did the work on my car.Later when I need a flat to be repaired I specified that I did not want a plug. The tires only had 5k miles on them. They did the repair for free, it turns out a plug was put in which later leaked on a daily basis.When it came time to buy new tires for a new vehicle I did take my business to Ft. Morgan. Now I see there is a new tire shop in town on 3rd street. I may give them a chance to gain a customer.

Scott and his team took care of my family for almost 15 years before we moved. Whether it was an issue with a vehicle or regular maintenance, Scott always made sure we were in and out of his shop, and he never charged us ridiculous prices. Hes definitely reliable!

Scott was good to work with on the purchase of 8 tractor tires and found a time that would work with his schedule and ours and mounted them at the farm. They were there at 6 am and had 8 tires mounted by 11. Very good to work with

Friendly service! Owner goes above and beyond to get a tire in your price range. Ive had multiple vehicles serviced here. Free tire rotation and leak fixed for the life of the tire. I cant begin to express how greatful I am that their techntions found that the wheel bearing was wore out before the whole thing came off while I was driving down the road.

Went in to find out if they could fix a flat that I had. When they found out that they couldnt they brought it in and showed me exactly why! Also they looked for a used tired that would match what I already had in case I couldnt afford four new tires. Another option of tires within my price range wouldve been nice but I know that cant always happen.

This is one of the best tire shops Ive been to!I was on my way to Sterling from Baton Rouge, Louisiana to visit my uncle when I noticed my tire pressure was dropping about 5 psi an hour. After stopping at two different tire shops in the Denver area that were unable to do the repair(one shop said my truck was too long for the lifts, the other said my mud terrain was un-patchable), I figured I was SOL and was ready to spend 2k on a new set. After calling a number of places trying to find my tires in stock, my Uncle told me to come to Sterling and get a second opinion from his tire shop, Platte River Tires. Boy am I glad I did! Instead of trying to sell me on a new set, they patched my tire and had me in and out in 30 minutes. Since the patch job, I have driven over 4k miles and the tire hasnt dropped a PSI. Definitely recommend this place! In fact, Ill make an excuse to road trip back out to Colorado just to buy my next set of tires from these guys. Thanks again!

Superb service!I recently moved to Sterling from Denver and in my first week in Northeastern Colorado I punctured both of my bike tires all over from Tribulus terrestris or goat head stickers as there known out here. This was the first time I had experienced these, and as a city slicker I had no idea what to do. I went to Platte River tire where Scott was kind and understanding my lack of technical know how. He not only patched my tires on the spot but showed me how to do it myself for when it inevitably happens again. I was incredibly pleased with how patient and caring the whole staff was, and that they were willing to teach a young man a very important skill. Patching tires might be a simple thing for some but it really meant a lot to me that they all went out of their way to help me. I will definitely be returning this winter to have them put snow tires on my car!

The only way i could leave a commit is by leaving a star. I wouldnt give one star for the lack of ability to serve the public. I was quoted one price on Friday and brought my truck in for service, when I was confirming the price I was quoted, I was given a different price by Scott. He didnt remember talking to me on Friday and today is only Monday. That really showed what they think of the value of the costumer to me. They would have over charged me and made me pay the difference but i questioned his service. I seriously was taken back by how he thought he could get away with stealing. Im sure they do a great job as long as no one questions their math.
