I went at 10ish and there were NO cream filled anything, NO jelly filled, NO raspberry filled, all that was left was the donuts nobody cares about. Not that I need them anyway but Ive been happy here before. So my question is, if these are the top sellers why not make more of them to last the day so you DONT get UNsatisfied customers? I hope I get better donuts next time. The ones that we did pick were so dry even after dunking! Like I said I have always had awesome cakes, donuts, etc. here so I dont know what happened.

I came home to visit and bought 2 cream hornes.Took my first bite and spit it out.The usual delicate cream filling was replaced by a nasty, gritty horrible sugar filling that I threw away after one bite.

ICONIC. Their cookies and pastries are always good and made fresh every morning. never had a problem here. Absurdly good pricing, you can fill up a whole box of sweets for $10. Every employee ive talked to is super nice. Cant go wrong. Go here and support our local businesses!

I stopped and picked up a few of the long Johns. It smelled nice and was clean. One staff member was waiting on a customer and had to call for another several times til she came out of the back and waited on me. Long Johns tasted good and you could tell handmade vs grocery store variety. I dont think you could go wrong with anything you decide to eat in here. Will stop back when I am passing through again.

Krispy Kreme who? Donuts were so good for great price, along with other local great eat Steves fish and chips on 4th st. was worth the 45 min trip for a little taste of home.

The bakery was trying to close when I stopped for some goodies. They not only waited on me but two other folkes came after me and they unlocked the door for each of them! Awsome!

Their cakes, cookies and pastries are second to none! I went there to buy a cake for a coworker. They personalized the cake, sold it for a reasonable price and the coworker enjoyed the cake, surpassing all expectations!

I love going here for our cakes and cookies, the Bavarian filling in a white cake is my FAVORITE cake, and I cant ever go in and not get cream puffs. The cream puffs are what dreams are made of. All the people who work there are super nice and patient as well.

Nice little bakery. So many pastries to choose from. The staff are very kind and professional theyre more than willing to help you out if you wasnt sure about your choices. Highly recommend to use cash for convenience. They do accept Cards. I had the strawberry topping doughnuts it was so good! Highly recommended.

I havent been to the Downtown Bakery in quite some time with now living in Houston but I got to stop there today and get my classic Smiley Face cookies fix and theyre still awesome! Keep up the awesome job guys!*Update, I recently ordered a dozen of smiley face cookies as the last time I was there they told me they ship out of town so I decided to finally try it first it was extremely expensive just for a dozen cookies almost $25..Second when calling to place the order I didnt receive the best customer service didnt get a total amount to be charged to my card and actually had to call them the next day as they just automatically charged my card and wasnt even given a tracking # Finally I received the cookies and they should have been packaged much better for shipping and marked fragile on the box at least as they didnt arrive that great and I understand theyre cookies but at least if Im paying $25 make sure they are packaged better. Disappointed in this process and definitely wont do it again but will stop by when Im in town much better and of course cheaper.

What happened to choc. cake/rosecups?? Asked counter person if the very light choc . was a new flavor. ALMOST LOOKED LIKE A SPICE CAKE. Person stated, it was choc...MADE purchase.. later that day attempted to eat.. AWFUL!!!!!THESE USE TO BE A REALLY GOOD CUPCAKE TYPE TREATS WITH LOTS OF ICING. THE ICING wasnt same either. Noticed to some of the filled long Johns are smaller too. TOO MANY Changes, not for better... This had been my cake place for many, many years.. Hope this was just a bad batch...

Wasnt impressed! I gave a 3 star because this was just an average bakery experience for me. In fact they messed up one of my items. Asked for Bavarian creme filled donut and they gave me white cream... yuck 😒While the cookies, donuts and bread was fine, Ive been to much better bakeries elsewhere. I went here because reviews were good. I was not WOWed, it was just okay. In fact, I liked Krogers bakery items much better and will probably just keep going there.

This really was pathetic! We were in town and stopped at this bakery. We wanted to turn around and leave, as it didnt look so good. We tried raisin filled cookies, lady fingers, sugar cookies with butter cream and nut roll cookies. Everything was stale and just awful. So sad.

I grew up in steubenville and loved when my grandmother took me for a pastry here. My very dear friend begged the bakery to send me some cookies they did not want to ship for fear they would show up as crumbs. Well I can tell you I loved the cookies and did not care some were crumbs and I was so happy to have these cookies they are delicious! Thank you!

Everything I have had from here so far is fantastic!! The staff is friendly. The place is clean.Update: I bought two pineapple cookies. Took a bite out of one then noticed there was a dead gnat baked into it, they tried to tell me it was just on top. When I took it in they looked at it said sorry and offered me store credit. Never again.

I used to be a very loyal customer for years. One day I had called to order a cookie cake for my sons birthday and everything was fine until I got a call back from one of there workers telling me they had no chocolate chips and that I needed to pay in advance with a credit card for them to make it.After dealing with them for years and spending a lot of money through the years I was shocked.I had never had to do that before so Ooooo ridiculous. I will never go or spend another dime in that place.I have always picked up my order and paid never have I ever ordered something and not picked it up.Thats all I have to say about that.Lost my business. ...
