Have always had good experiences here..Never been pressured to buy anything...were very nice about exchanging a product that was the wrong size...price was in line with other local shops...staff has always been very helpful...deff b doing business here again.
Very nice and knowledgable people made me feel welcomed
Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Clean store. Wide selection of firearms and accessories.
My family was in the market for several guns. They took the time to explain to us everything there was about every gun we looked at. They took an incredible amount of time with us because we were beginners. Absolutely no sales pressure at all. We went home to think about our options overnight. We found we could purchase elsewhere for a couple dollars less but we thought that the knowledge that Powers helped us with far outweighed the couple dollar savings we get online or somewhere else that didnt share that knowledge so freely.I take the safety of my family very serious. So do they. Great people great prices great training great product WE WILL BE BACK.
I paid for 2 classes in DECEMBER we went there were TOO many people for us to be comfortable during covid to do the class in January. Since then I moved for work Ive called 3 times since to get refunded. Here its END OF MARCH STILL NO REFUND!! Thats just bad business I know my $200.00 isnt keeping your shop open and you have nothing written about a return policy on your site. Almost feels like a SCAM at this point. Would NEVER do business there again.
This is the only place Ill go. Its a little pricey but right now guns and ammo are expensive. They have always been respectful knowledgeable. I took thee ccw class this weekend I learned alot that I didnt know and Mr powers was hilarious he keep it interesting. I would recommend them to everyone
This place is absolutely overpriced! Triple the cost of ammo and reloading supplies. Price gouging customers will ruin your company in the living run.
Excellent service and very knowledgeable. A little pricey but you get what you pay for! Other reviews of bad service are hard to believe. Bill is always nice and will tell you anything and everything about any gun in the store.
Very respectful and knowledgeable about weapons they definitely know their stuff I would definitely recommend them.... I will be returning soon to buy an AR and my son really wants a 22 rifle .ps they are kid friendly everywhere else I went they were not
Their weapons are over priced. They will severely low ball you on trade ins. Some ammunition will cost almost double compared to other places. Some of the staff make you want to punch them in the throat and the other half are awesome and knowledgeable. They are a place that strikes me as taking advantage of people who dont know a lot about guns. I must have heard the words stopping power 30 times in a 10 min conversation.
I can only assume that this guys customers are all totally unaware of the internet because his prices are absolutely unbelievable.
Attended the CCW class 3/29/2020 and found it to be informative. If you have been around firearms then some of the basics can be tedious but there were some who seemed they had never even loaded a gun. The staff took the time to explain the details to them with out being demeaning. For those who have been around firearms it was a good refresher and I picked up a few things to help improve my shooting. I truly appreciated the emphasis on the legal ramifications of not assessing the situation before pulling your weapon. That portion was very eye openingReason not a 5 star was the indoor range was not functional so we had to use an outdoor range and was it cold. I did check out their ammo prices and they seemed right in line with Dunhams and other local shops.Thank you team powers for a good classNick
Very nice to deal with, they knew what they were talking about, helpful, yes pricey but that’s any local gun shop, repeat business 100% likely, I dealt with at least 3 of the guys that work here all good people 😃
Mr Powers is a great guy and has competitive prices. Lets just say I dont give my business to Sportsmans anymore. The repaired my pistol with no trouble.
No complaints. Helpful staff. Nice addition to our community. Looking forward to the indoor range. Nice inventory for a small shop recently opened.
Friendly and knowledgable staff with a good selection and reasonable prices.
Great store, great staff. Guns, ammo, training, even martial arts and a shooting range. No need to shop anywhere else!
Limited selection and sales staff who seemed annoyed we werent experts. I try to buy local and could have easily visited the huge outdoor supply company 45 minutes away for decent service and better prices. I guess our money wasnt good enough or I was just too stupid for this establishment. Lucky for us we moved on to another local dealer and saved over $150 on the same gun. Disclaimer... I dont think we were working with the owner. Just another employee who didnt like his job. Perhaps Mr. Powers would have appreciated a new customer.
Decent selection, but you’ll always be pushed to buy more and the most expensive instead of what actually fits your needs. They are looking to make a big sale, even if it means it’s not what you’re looking for.
They have always been friendly and fair with me. I was very happy with a used pistol I purchased from them.
Acts weird. Was denied a gun for unknown reasons. Refunded the gun, but not the tax.... Sketchy.
Poor selection, overpriced, high pressure sales.Edit 2/7/21:His selection of firearms has definitely improved. His prices however, have most certainly not. I understand ammo is scarce (supply and demand and whatnot), but $36 for a box of 9mm target ammo (Blazer Brass, 115gr FMJ) is more than DOUBLE what it was last year for the same ammo.Ive also heard unsubstantiated rumors that the owner is going to other local gun shops/chain stores (ie Rural King) and buying up every box of ammo he can find, then marking the price up double what he pays for it, and putting it on his shelves. Again, just rumors. Even the RK Gun Barn staff would neither confirm nor deny the rumor. His trade in prices are on the lower end of fair, and his prices on guns are competitive with the other gun shops in the area (like STP). Hes higher on some stuff and lower on others.I will continue to buy guns from him, but not ammo.
The whole family used their conceal carry classes. these people KNOW their weapons and tactics. mr powers and mr powers sr. were both police and military. you can depend on them every time
Busy today but still finds time for a small sale. Flexibile and friendly folks.
When to the classes had was good time great people
Price gouging at its finest
Watch out on his class 3 sales, he told me he would take my money, and after pressing the issue said after waiting months to see if my license would clear, if it did not, he would offer no refunds. No law enforcement official will sign off on class 3 weapons, beware of this suckers game.
Best place and great prices
Family owned and concerned with customers.
