They did a great job on my windshield. They quickly got it repaired even though I didnt have an appointment.

I called A-1 auto glass because my car rubber molding is peeling off across my windshield. i talked to Fred and explained to him about my concerns. he told me to bring the car over so he can take a look of it. i arrived at the shop and Fred check out the rubber molding. he told me it wouldn’t take that long to fix it. so i waited at the waiting area and about 20 minutes. the rubber molding is fix and look like new from the factory. if you like a good customer service and good workmanship. i highly recommend this place. 👍

They broke the clips on the plastic pieces removing them and then used a worthless glue to try to reattach. They came off on the freeway! I was told to expect a call about this but so far no one has called. Terrible.

I had to have my windshield replaced about 3 months ago. A-1 Auto Glass was on the list that my insurance gave me. So I had the windshield replaced and took care of it as I was instructed. Two weeks later, I had the car washed and the windshield leaked. So I took it back and they replaced it again. Then, I went to get into the car and saw a pool of water in my console and noticed the headliner was also wet. I went back to A-1 and was told that in 30 years, this had never happened. Im hoping that my electronics are unaffected. We shall see. I would never recommend this business

Im home for the holidays. When visiting I need to park my car on the street usually without any problems. Well this morning walking out to my car I find broken glass everywhere on the driver side. Of course this is a bummer and Im upset. I immediately search to get the window replaced which bring me to Fred. I call A-1 Auto Glass and Fred picks up the phone. He said bring your car right in and well take of you. When I arrived he asked how I feeling. I told him there are other things going on in the world so Ill take a broken window. 2 hours later my new window was installed. I pick up my car and we have a little spiritual talk to boot. When I called to ask about the price I was quoted a price that was cheaper than Safelite. This was a good start. When he asked if I had a rain sensor I started laughing and so did he. It turns out that Fred the owner has a great sense of humor and enjoys interacting with his customers. He had me laughing a number of times about a number of things. When I told him Id bring it to him he said bring it today. I was there around 12 instead of the 2 pm I thought Id be there. He said it would take about two hours. When I said I had no place to go he offer to share lunch he was getting for his guys. Pizza. Not only is he funny, hes the real deal as far as business owners go. He cares, plain and simple. I will refer anybody that need auto glass to him. Thanks Fred.

All the usual things that get them the 5-star rating they deserve.But thats not remotely the point of this review.This was my first time here. As I walked in, I noticed an African-American gentleman sitting in the waiting area. He had a bandage on his foot and the look of a poor person, as so many in this area do. After I did my intake for my car to get its windshield replaced, he and I had a lovely conversation.He told me how someone had smashed his window the night before, hoping to find valuables or even just a little shelter from the scorching heat. But, he chuckled, the car contained nothing but a bag filled with tampons!Noticing my raised eyebrow, he told me that his wife distributes to homeless people who need them. The important moment of this story came when the gentlemans car was ready. He went up to pay, and the owner didnt charge him the quoted amount.Here is where you will start needing that Kleenex.The gentleman paid his bill and left. The owner, being the gregarious sort, saw that I had noticed what he had done and started telling me about the situation.He knew what had happened to the guys car as well as the thing with the tampons. But thats not all he knew about this guy.He also told me that he had personally seen this man randomly find $100 on the street. But even though he was poor himself, he gave the whole thing to a homeless person he saw nearby.When asked why, he responded, Look, that hundred wont help me out of my situation, but thats a whole week or more of survival for that person.Got that Kleenex out yet, because if not, youll need it now.The owner of the shop gave him $60 off of the price of his window repair. I got the feeling that he would have given him $100 off, but that the guy would have realized what he was doing and objected on the grounds that he didnt want to pass the burden of that gift onto the shop. That might have been just my gut feeling talking, but I stand by it.The owner told me, in a heavy accent, Look, I am not a millionaire, but I can do that for him. So we have a poor man who gives money to homeless people and whose wife goes around, making sure that the even more downtrodden people have some of the most basic necessities of survival. And we have a local shop owner who rewards them financially.This is what it means to have community. You should have the same.

Love, Love, Love this place. I have a 2000 Dodge caravan and the window regulator on the driver side door went out and the window fell inside of the door. I was panicking because I could not leave the car in front of my house all night with the window down because of the area I live in. I called these guys and the owner gave me a great price to secure the window until I can order the part for my vehicle because as we all know money is tight right now. I really appreciate the way A-1 handled my broken window so easily. I was given the option to keep my car at their place on Sunday but I had a garage to park in so it was OK but that was really nice of them to offer to keep my car safe for the night, even when they were ordinarily closed.Next, the service was done really quickly. After I dropped it off, it was only a few hours before I get a call that the window was replaced and all the extra broken glass was vacuumed up and gone too.I payed in the office and Fred helped me in professional manner throughout the service and payment. That professionalism made me feel like the boss even though they were doing the work. I really appreciate the professionalism in a time since my window was busted love my car and I need it fixed right.The window is back on the electronic track and works fine and everything. Freds encouragement really made me feel like I was off to the big leagues first thing after it was fixed. If thats regular business this is your day to day go-to garage in time of need.. This place, especially the owner Fred, needs to be reported to the better business bureau. Sure, they are cheapest place in town. But they charge you $15 dollars for “new molding” turns out they use the same one you had. I payed $290 for a windshield that had glue all over it and reused molding that didn’t even cover the glass. This place is a scam. When I got my refund, which I had to fight for days over, he denied me my own receipt that I walked in with. Not to mention, he didn’t even know how to refund me from his own atm machine (who even knows if my refund will go through). I went down the street to safelite to see if they could fix the damage and they had told me this is not the first time this has happened. Satellite did say other customers have came in and told the same story. If my story/ complaint can help save another person from this scam of a place then I’ll post this all over Stockton!Ps: I had to give them one star in order to post this.

This place is great! My boyfriend discovered that his car window had been broken overnight, and they were able to fix it the same day within a couple hours. We took the car in around 3 PM and even though they were supposed to close at 5 PM, they stayed later and made sure that his broken window was fixed. I highly recommend this place because of their fast and friendly service and very reasonable prices. I will definitely be back in the future!

The manager of this place is very judgmental. I went in for just for a little help on glueing my review mirror onto the front windshield (I heard it was very hard to do alone). As I pulled my car in, I noticed there was two policemen waiting at the corner to turn right onto airport. I didn’t think anything of it. As the mechanic was placing the mirror on for me, I went to the back of my car and sat on my trunk. Keep in mind, I’m a African American, and also a CHP Explore. I have just bought my first car, which is one of the latest bmw. When the manager seen me sitting on my trunk he approached me and told me to get off of my own vehicle. When I asked him why, he told me that he don’t want people driving by to see me sitting on the car, since they wouldn’t think it’s mine... This is not acceptable and will not be recommending nor returning.

Though this review is a bit late its because of how I was treated that I wanted to make sure I write a review for this company. About a month ago an incident occurred and I stopped by this location. From the moment I arrived the gentlemen (which I believe was the owner) was kind, courteous, respectful, basically the whole works. He was very understanding and I appreciated how he treated me and handled the situation. Overall I had a wonderful and speedy experience. I would most definitely recommend this company above all others. Price wise is not bad at all in fact this place beats other prices. Check this place first before you try any other place, trust me you wont regret it.

I highly recommend this place. I came here because my back window went down and wouldnt go back up. I was assisted by Fred who was very knowledgeable, prompt, and courteous. He even helped guide me to getting the part I needed cheaper on line instead of through an AutoZone or something. I needed a new window switch and the stores were selling them for $200+ just for the switch. Fred advised me to go online and I was able to find it on eBay for only $15!! I purchased it and he installed it for me. Very reasonable pricing and great customer service!

Great service overall! Firstly, Fred (the owner) responds very quickly to online yelp quotes. Secondly, this business was the ONLY auto glass company who flat out didn’t tell me “oh you need to replace the whole windshield” (which btw is total bs because the crack was at the lower part of my window, no where near the driver side and not that big). Fred knew exactly what I was talking about when I mentioned the gel you can insert to prevent the crack from getting bigger. Sure, cosmetically it doesn’t get rid of the crack but it does the job of keeping you safe and preventing more damage. $65 quick fix in 30 minutes is a huge difference from the $239 install! I also have to mention that the install price is significantly cheaper than the other quotes I got from competing companies. Thirdly, Fred is a good businessman and knows how to be personable, confident, approachable and friendly. He’s also a total Silver fox lol. All three of these qualities definitely makes for a good business and keeping clientele. Excellent work!

I came here to get my drivers side window regulator replaced. The owner and the office assistant were friendly and polite. I was there for about an hour before they were all finished. My window works perfectly and I couldnt be happier. Would definitely recommend this place.

Ive only had to come here twice within 10 years for two different cars. One was for the front window to be replaced the other was for an unknown problem. I have got the same great, friendliness service both times. My most recent problem with my car was it kept fogging up and would smell like mildew and the front windshield would fill up with water. I called and he Fred was super nice and prompt. I took it in the same day and he found what was wrong, fixed it on the spot and I was able to pick up my car the same day at a really good price. He called and let me know the situation before hand and what it would cost. Very professional, will be back here for future window business.

Very fast and friendly. My insurance didnt cover and was still very reasonably priced. They not only replaced the glass, but made sure the guide rail was free and did a light repair to fix mine for free. Definitely going back the next time someone breaks my window.
