Decently sized selection with very knowledgeable staff. I have celiacs and gluten gets into all kinds of food including cheese and the staff member there knew which cheeses were safe and which were not and cut all my cheese with a clean knife. This was a very positive experience for someone with food allergies and Ill be coming back for more then a quarter pound next time! Delicious!

A small shop but a huge selection. The grilled cheese menu wasnt like any I have seen before. My wife, son and I each loved our sandwiches. The cheddy topper, brew cheese cubano and a classic. The sour dough and multi grain bread used was awesome and cut super thick. The cheese was melted perfect and awesomely stringy and the sandwiches were not overly greasy like some Ive had other places. We also tried a couple draft beers, schflay pumpkin and pipeworks all the golden tickets. Both were really tasty. And mckenzie behind the bar was super friendly and attentive. We will definitely be going back to work through that sandwich list. Not to mention the amazing list of fresh cheeses available to purchase. Picked up a wedge of maple bacon cheddar I cant wait to try.

Disappointment all around being here. The two girls working essentially ignored us the whole time we were there, they were more concerned with eating and socializing with the few people already sitting at the bar area. We had to go up to order our cheese board, twice before they finally made it. When she brought it over we had to ask her which cheese was which. She had to go back to get utensils which again took longer than it should because she decided to join the conversation going on at the counter. I do not think we will be going here again which is unfortunate since we enjoy the village.

Brew Cheese is made for craft beer & artisanal cheese lovers. It is small, quaint, and has loads of character. The menu features various combinations of cheese boards with all the fixins, grilled cheeses, and a few other delicacies such as buffalo mac n cheese. Pair it with your favorite sours, stouts, or pale ales. The grilled cheeses have names like Tony Soprano Breathing Heavy While He Eats & Regina George to channel your inner pop culture critic. The flavors are immense, however, the sourdough bread is a bit thick and can overpower the other flavors. Since the grilled cheeses are made on a panini, the large, thick bread remains soft, not grilled, on the edges. Brew Cheese sells a lot of local products, like North Fork Potato Chips. I could also swim in the fig jam it was so delicious.

Came here with my boyfriend who is obsessed with craft beer. To my surprise, I was able to find his favorite beer (as shown in the pictures.) We had originally come just for the beer with no knowledge of what this establishment had to offer. Upon arriving, I was amazed at how intimate Brew Cheese is. Everyone is very friendly and their staff is quite knowledgeable about their menu and cheese selection. We had Ashley take care of us and did not disappoint! Their craft selection is enjoyable with rotations every so often and if you are a cheese connoisseur, you will be amazed. We will definitely be returning for another enchanting experience!

Out on a beautiful mid May day in Stonybrook and stumbled upon this little gem. Really delicious cheeses, great variety, and beer on tap! Nice staff too. Its a win.

Absolutely love the place and the combinations one can have with such a simple dish like grilled cheese. The staff is very friendly and the stout on tap is really good.

Waited 20 minutes for pressed cheese and bread after being asked multiple times for a reminder of our order. Only three other people in the place when we got here.

Good spot to stop on a small winery/brewery tour. It is a difficult to find in a large shopping center area. Once you finally get there, there is a nice selection of cheeses and meats. They only had about 5-7 beer son tap however there was also a great selection of bottled and can beers.I feel like this place should be larger and have a better location and it would be amazing.

Its an awesome little place for local beer with cheese and nice ambience. I would recommend the Evil twin draft beer. They also have a good collection of bottled beers to make your own six pack (which is also very inexpensive btw! :O ). The food menu is not too big but some good grilled cheese sandwiches and cheese tasting options. The staff is friendly and nice :)

These cheese shops are so unique, we try to patron whenever we are in the area. Beer selection is great on tap or a whole fridge full to try. If youre adventurous to try different cheeses, they have cheese boards or grilled cheese. Awesome little laid back shop to hang out for awhile

Quiet, intimate place. They gave 6-8 beer on tap plus many others in cans or bottles. They have a large variety of cheeses. The server is very knowledgeable about the cheeses. They also offer gourmet grilled cheeses sandwiches that are delicious. Have there a few times and have enjoyed it.

Everything is good. The beer selection is perfect... something for everyone. Hard to find beers can be found here. So much amazing cheese. Can you say maple bacon cheddar grilled cheese? Well if you can’t, you’ll sure be able to smell it. I’m guessing that’s what heaven will smell like. Cans, bottles, and drafts... cheese plates, and good friends. If I could give them 6 stars I would, but because I can’t, 5 stars it is!!!

Weve come here quite a few times and everytime its excellent. The cheese selection is impressive and delicious. The grilled cheeses are out of this world. Great prices, super friendly atmosphere. Every employee is super pleasant, such a nice laid back experience. Also the beer selection is great, highly recommend for a afternoon out with friends.

I Love this place! Dave is a warm, friendly and knowledgeable guy. He didnt even bat an eye when I left without tipping him and Catrina! Sorry- I thought my sister was taking care of that. I will correct it ASAP! - not that I need a reason to visit. Everyone would love this place.

In addition to the great selection of cheese and craft beer is the atmosphere. Inside is a warm rustic decor with authentic beer steins hanging on the wall. Its a great place for a quiet gathering with friends while you enjoy delicious cheese and craft beer. Not to mention that they also offer Long Island wine. The staff is very knowledge. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the Stony Brook Village area.

Best Cheese & Beer Experience Yet! Trust me, I was a bit hesitant on trying this combo, but was blown away by the cheese board that was given to us as beginners. I live in NYC and will definitely be making trips back and forth just to get my beer and cheese fix.
