This is literally the best optical store I have ever been too, and I have been wearing glasses for 45 years. They have an amazing selection and the owner, Andy, treats each customer like a VIP or a member of his family. You can try on 40 pairs of glasses and the staff never gets frustrated. They understand that glasses are an expression of your face. They are not pushy with their designer frames and everything is competitively priced. If they don’t fit right, or you have an issue, Andy will work with you until you are comfortable. Not only best service at an optical store, but best service at ANY store I have been too in a very long while. Thanks Stony Brook Vision you have a customer for life.

Omg these guys truly are the best, i just spent a few hundred on a custom pair of prescription Oakleys and needed to swap scripts, i was prepared to refund the order within the 13 day return store policy, but nope thats not nessesary, swapped the old scripts for free, redid the glasses and waived the labor charge for doing so.Im telling u these guys are just fking superstars, highly recommended.

Amazing experience! I was honestly blown away by how friendly and accommodating the staff was at SB Vision World. They are very covid conscious, everything is sanitized, and they make you feel at home and comfortable as soon as you walk in. I honestly left there thinking wow that was actually fun!! I was in and out in a half hour for an eye exam and glasses (groupon), and I didnt spend a dime extra. Highly recommend :)

Shout out to Stewart! I want to take the time out and say EXTREMELY HELPFUL. All I needed was my lens cut into the Frame of my eyeglasses with no excuses got it done. I called 5 local places that surround his business that gave me every excuse not to do it. I called here no issue no problem THANKS

They take appointments, and actually you are seen at your appointment time. The doctor is very knowledgeable. She explained everything really clear. She was very thorough. The lady in the front is very friendly, very helpful. She even told me there was a refund for my contacts. I am very satisfied with them.

I never write reviews but my experience was so impressive I felt compelled to. I called in the morning asking a ton of questions about contacts and how their special works based on astigmatism or not, I have never worn contacts and was very unsure. The voice on the other end was nothing short of an Angel! Not only were my questions answered well beyond my expectation but I comfortable to come in. Upon arriving I was welcomed warmly and had a nice conversation during my short wait with their staff. The Doctor was incredibly kind and thorough, she again made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. The exam was quick which I hadn’t expected since my last exam was 6 years ago for glasses and I appreciated that. They then were unimaginably patient with me while teaching me how to remove and replace my contacts, also with how to care for them. It took me over an hour to get them out, seems touching my eyelashes freaks me out a bit. They took turns giving me advice and helping me along. We even celebrated together when I got them out and back in! This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in all regards with any business and they have a customer for life!!!

I have been dealing with this optician since they opened, and to this date I am still impressed with not only the quality of my glasses, but the excellent service as well. My last pair of glasses lasted for 8 years ( I did not have a prescription change in all that time)!They are one of the few eye glass stores around that still make your glasses in the store. I have read some of the negative reviews and all I can say is that my experience is totally the opposite. I am not rushed, given many options to choose from, and always leave a satisfied customer knowing that my glasses were made correctly, and madeto last even under my hard working conditions. Took my grandma here. They were super nice and made sure she stayed right in budget. Not pushy but super friendly.

When I called I was told that they are a participating provider with my insurance, and I would be reimbursed from the insurance. I made the mistake of paying up front (almost $500)They apparently lied and I received $90 back.When my insurance company called them they refused to comply and re-submit the insurance and then reimburse me. Nasty too! There areLots of good places. DONT GO HERE!!(Too bad there is no zero rating)N

I bought the Groupon for the eye exam and pair of glasses, and was very happy with my visit. The girls who worked the front were fun and chatty, and extremely helpful with finding a frame that wouldnt cost me anything under the terms of the Groupon. The eye doctor was a little stiff and serious, but Im just happy to finally have a prescription and new pair of glasses after three years of no eye insurance.

I wouldnt recommend going here at all for either contacts or glasses. I went as they offered a Groupon - which wasnt worth it in the slightest and I actually wound up paying more here than my normal optometrist. I was shocked at the rudeness we encountered when we were in the office and received the same nasty attitude when I called later with a question. I found this really odd as both myself and my husband were nothing but pleasant, yet they did not return the same courtesy. I am not sure why they would even be in the business of dealing with customers when clearly they have no desire to do so. If you are looking for a wonderful experience getting your prescription, contacts, or glasses, I would certainly avoid here.

Bought a groupon and called to get more information. i use contacts called gentle vision shaping system. they are contacts youre meant to sleep in, and it fixes your eyesight for the day but has very long lingering effects in vision. so i cannot go in right now for an eye exam and was wondering when was best. opticians said it was stupid and that im doing everything wrong. after making fun of me and my pronunciation of his title. so very rude, very arrogant and told me they will not help me here and to get a refund on groupon. im glad i called, im never going here. and i would recommend everyone to do the same

I wouldnt recommend you to go there. U will spend more than u usually pay with others especially if u carry a groupon with. And if it expires, u just want to spend the amount u pay for, they will just give u couple samples instead. Bad manner.

Always had excellent experiences here and love the glasses I got.

This place needs to get with the times. They are still using index cards for patient records and they lost mine twice. Have they ever heard of a computer? Very disorganized and not very friendly either. Doctor was ok, but not worth all the other frustrations. Do yourself a favor, GO ELSEWHERE!!!!
