Been very satisfied with the clothing lately, they’ve been getting much better and definitely worth the price! Employees usually have a smile on their face which everyone likes to see. 5-stars for now since I haven’t had any complications yet. I realize the products are NOT American made, my experiences have been good so far. Also thank you for not putting a door greeter, honestly no one cares for them to say hi when you walk in:/
I called in to the store manager as I was in the parking lot and seeing that their flag was in dire need Im being replaced as it was about to tear from the line. I was told that they would get to it and I suggested sooner than later. I also told the manager that I should have a little bit more Pride being as Walmart is supposed to be such a reputable company.
I was looking for a checkout lady in the Storm Lake store. I have bad closeup vision so l dont do self checkout.. l asked a clerk if she could point one out. Her response was lady youre standing right on front of one cant you see it!! I was shocked and said l hadnt. She said you need to look better.I was very unhappy with her rudeness. The girl who checked me apologized for the other lady.
As far as Walmart ratings, this one is close to my top, Ive probably been to at least 100 or maybe more Walmart stores. This one was busy, but super clean and with a great ethnic selection (Hispanic and Asian). I will be back, as always, next time Im in town.
Prices are the same even after all the self check outs went in. So were doing a job and getting no pay. Employees stand around and do nothing or hide from customers instead of helping. You also get treated like a thief when you go to leave the store.
Friendly employees and easy to navigate store. I like the option of self checkout. Im able to bag my items how I want them bagged.
It was Great the employees are always helpful.Walmart should feel lucky they have the employees they have.
I only go to this Wal-Mart because I can order my groceries online and pick them up here and once in a while, I absolutely need that convenience. That being said, the last time I was here, the way my groceries were loaded into my vehicle were problematic, i.e. a bag of canned goods was placed ON TOP of a loaf of bread. I wasnt terribly thrilled about it but, sometimes you pay for convenience in non-monetary ways.
All the frozen food section was roped off so I will have to go to Hy-Vee it or Fareway tomorrow. I seriously hate self check out I think that is just a way to get rid of employees. I wish we lived close to a big city where we actually had a decent choice of organic food.
Great customer service friendly people that work for Walmart there in Storm Lake Iowa the Walmart here is awesome up-to-date stocked up very nice
No moterized chairs for those unable to walk far.
Nice Walmart, clean, but a lot of out of stocks items. Still have to do self check outs.
Walmart isnt always organized . The customer service here is lacking too ...I like Spencer walmart better ....but it being local for me I go there most .
Nice place i went in to talk to the manager to see if i can park here being a truck driver they had no problem with it very respectful people
Absolutely awful since the remodel. Waited patiently for the girls watching the check outs you do on your own now to finish watching Snapchat on their phone and giggling to help us scan a restricted item. When you order the tobacco on self check it takes forever to get someone. Employees usually respond with I dont know with every question. Just a chaos situation.
Stayed here for a wedding in a smaller town outside of Storm Lake. The rooms were big and the water parks were a lot of fun. Took my nephew to the parks and we had endless fun going down the slides and he really enjoyed the kid areas as he is almost 4.
Has everything youll ever need and more! One stop shopping.
Went in to buy some bananas and came out a new man, the staff was really nice but the girl working the electronics section convinced me to buy seven switch games and a steam card( I don’t have a switch or electricity) and my cashier “Lindsey” even helped set my broken leg and gave me the confidence to reconnect with my father. I crawled the entire eighteen mile hike back to my cave with a huge smile on my face after this visit, would come again
This is one of the best Walmart stores in the midwest. Their pickup service always gets the order right. Service is quick and friendly. Thanks!
Its a Walmart but there are absolutely no check out lines. You scan everything, every time.
First time Id give Walmart 5 stars because they dont care about customers or employees at all but today one employee made my day all their self checkout was busy and she said come here rung us up and away we went this is the only time I could say that Walmart had an employee who cared
They have taken out all but 4 actual cashier registers. Everything is now self checkout to be able to herd everyone through as quickly as possible. I choose not to use self checkout, therefore I rarely go to WM. I will spend my hard earned money somewhere that doesnt treat me like an employee without the benefits of being one.
Typical medium sized Walmart, I noticed a lot of empty selves as is typical in this day and time.
Could have more check outs with real people helping.
Not very clean, most staff are unkept and rude, prices are good though.
Go 24/7 again and Ill give you the extra two stars
Crowded environment. To many people. To many languages being spoken, puts a person on edge in todays world.
I didnt feel comfortable in there todayA child was allowed to cry the whole time I was in there 15+ minutes.Apparently it doesnt matter if you have customers to allow your children to cry.I would have complained to someone but I seem to be the only one bothered by it.
The Walmart in Storm Lake is phenomenal. My step son had a walmart card, wouldnt work for him and even after we paid for his stuff with his other card they still took the time, offered on their own, to put it on a new card for him. The woman working was so polite. She really made him feel worth while. Thank you so much Storm Lake Walmart. Their employees are right along side the Kings Pointe Resort employees.
I think that its ridiculous that there are only 4 cash registers that are not self checkout. And then, only 2 of them were open and 8 people standing in line. If I wanted to check my own stuff out, Ill stay home and shop on line
I really liked this store. Was clean and had a wide assortment of items.
If there was a lower rating I would rate it at that. I think it is asinine that there are no Checkers other than self checkout. Its not very convenient when youre shopping with children especially
Too crowded. Needs to scrap the self-checkout, or cut back
Service is better than most Walmarts I been to.... Most all have no service out on the floor terrible. When calling you select a department you wait wait wait and wait some more. The service desk will pick up and transfer you to department you may wait for awhile longer and sometime you disconnected....Not Good
Lived up to my expectations for WalMart.
Lack of selection in toddler boys apparel and shoes. What was there was extremely messy and hard to shop.
This is the most piss poor WalMart I have ever been in. Absolutely no checkers all self check outs. No room to move or bag items. No social distancing. If they are trying to keep the pandemic going they are doing a great job.
Just found out today that Walmart one of the biggest grocery stores dont even accept Google pay or Samsung pay
Not a fan of self checkout. Not lazy. Just old fashioned.
Check out was long. 2 cashiers. You think with all your money that you could afford more help. Will not go back
It is walmart and comes with all of the walmart associated interactions, both good and bad. Utterly not special in any way from every other walmart. extremely average and outstanding example of regular walmart stuff.
Horrible customer service. They would not price match to their online price. They were so rude when I asked. 10/10 would not recommend.
Walmart is the best store to have when living in a small town 🙂
Need to stock better do the order better and better workers please
Brand new restrooms nice finish no paper in the bathroom and toilets were disgusting.
Im just sad today. We visited this Walmart to replenish our supplies. Im an over the road truck driver. The store is undergoing a remodel, but we didnt pay that much attention until we were leaving. Approaching checkout, we realized there is not ONE, SINGLE cashier! They have replaced them ALL with self-check stations. There were 3 attendants minding operations, like lunchroom monitors. It was disheartening, but not the worst.I made a stop thru the restroom on the way out where I encountered a salon employee. I asked her, how.many people lost their jobs to this remodel? Her reply left me speechless. I dont know for sure, but they were just highschoolers. WTH?!? In a town of less than 11,000 people, Im sure jobs are scarce at best. But that attitude about it! What does that say about our society? Like I said, Im sad today.!!!!!!!!WE WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!!!
The younger greeters keep their backs to the doors. I literally went by her in the electric cart, reloaded my purchases into a regular cart with my crutches and she never looked away from her phone. If you are going to put people at the doors, make them work! Over 6 customers entered and another 4 left and she never noticed. When I mentioned this to her, she just shrugged.
My flash drive was still in the security box so I had to go in to have it removed. My ham was missing as well.
Im from the south and some things I usually buy arent available here. A regional thing, I guess.
Horrible. I was quickly reminded why i dont shop there. Very unorganized. People were scrambling. Not fun.
This is one is my favorite of the Walmart Stores within 100 miles of my hometown. Immediately upon entering, I notice the brighter lighting, larger aisles, MUCH larger selection than the Carroll store. And, unlike the Carroll store, were never harassed by employees. On the contrary, the Storm Lake Walmart offers service! You know, the thing that superstores destroyed? Well, it lives at this place!
It was very great I love it shopping in a big store
Employees seem they want to help. The deli counter, customers cannot order fresh sliced deli meats anymore. I was told it was corporate office stated that. All prepacked at the store in an average .5 pound packages. If you dont see your usual deli meat, need to ask if it is in the back.
Dirty. Needs work
No check out clerks. I refuse to check myself out.
Not enough cashiers. Not enough name brands.
As mid-sized Walmarts go, this one is quite good. The inventory is adaquate the staff helpul and the store clean.
Its walmart, do I need to explain?
Good employees. Very helpful.
Empty shelves
I love Walmart
Could not find a dam thing with buying
Great store.. it has everything you need, specially for a small town that is located at .
Dont like going there
Lots of empty shelves
I liked it and the staff was very nice
Seems to always be empty shelves.
Nice experience for a change . Employees were very helpful and mindful of covid-19 practices. Also very kind.
Would give it a five star as it is a great store but one of the greeters was really rude, and passive aggressive. Seems like she hated her job. I put the cart in the wrong spot as I could not put it back in the corral inside the store. She came up behind me, grabbed the cart and angrily said it doesnt belong there and walked it to the outdoor corral and slammed it into the other carts. She could have politely asked me to take it into the corral outside. As she did see that I was looking to put the cart somewhere inside. But instead chose to be passive aggressive. I would have done what she asked.
The help was excellent.
Employees are friendly, it was quick in and out store seemed organized and ean
Its walmart. Prefer to shop elsewhere when I can. Definitely not a fan of the Waltons!
Its a Walmart.
Well stocked and friendly employees
Nice location well stocked
Asked coach for help told us “have at it” probably the worse Walmart I’ve been to out of the 70 something that I’ve been at
Bad customer service
The baby changing room was a great accommodation. As a first time mom, I dont like to go out shopping for lack of private places to feed and change my baby, this Walmart had a perfect solution by providing a private room for baby care. I wish more Walmarts would have that!
I must have had a bad experience here awhile back, but cant remember exactly why I originally gave this WalMart 2 stars. Im changing it to 3 because it hasnt been that bad lately. Just mediocre a far as Walmarts go.
Its Walmart just like all the other thousands of Walmarts youve been there you know what its all about
No checkers! I dont work for walmart! Walgreens has anything I might have gotten at walmart and is happy to check me out!!
I love shopping at storm Lake Wal-Mart its always a pleasant experience
Staff not too friendly any more
I have yet to shop here for groceries and they are not out of at least one item on my list. Friendly staff with somewhat competitive prices. Be sure to check sale fliers for competition as many items can be less expensive in the ads.
Selection of pants/slacks was obimsamlly lacking.
The service was outstanding...
Good store, has everything a missiomary in Storm Lake needs to survive.
I will not be returning to Walmart for any groceries. Worst experience ever. Shelves were a mess. Food items just thrown everywhere. And dont get me started about checkout. I will never go back for groceries. They were more concerned with gossiping then helping. You could find anything you needed. Hated it
Very nice people are friendly and very kind. Impressed and their level of customer service.
Store and shopping is good all self check is just dumb might as well order online
It was horrible. Bathroom was dirty. Lots of people.. n only 2 check out people. Im not doing self checkout cuz I dont get paid to do their job. I dont work there. N not doing a job without being paid. (Self checkout)
We do all our shopping here because they have everything.
Tona of people waiting to checkout on automated machines. No cashiers to be found...
I had several associates assisting me put together more than 400 notebooks and more than 400 boxes of crayons. It to a group effort but they were successful. Because of their efforts I was able to make my full donation to my church without having to go to multiple other stores, I really appreciate that!
Organized and friendly ppl
Was in earlier and it was a very busy place but to be expected after the holidays. The cashier was quick and very friendly girl at the door. Took some time in line but I refuse to use those self checkouts since they are taken away jobs.
Excellent
Nice store, friendly folks and had what I need. Who could ask for more?
Dont like self check
