Acme is the best grocery store there as,great prices and no waiting, friendly people

Shop Stow acme regularly! Love the store, the staff and quality and availability of products. while there today, the ladies at the deli were nice enough to take the time to make an Ohio sub for us, even though it was obvious they were preparing a large order! Will always recommend shopping there.

Low prices and extended morning hours even during the pandemic. I’ve been a loyal Acme customer for 40 years across several locations and I’m never disappointed. The stores are well organized with local call backs on the aisle signs. Wonderful bakery with unique items as well. Love Acme!

The grocery store no big thrills

As a former employee here, this is by far one of the worst places Ive been. The workplace harassment is a very serious problem that never got fixed. I quit after 2 months.Do you ever wonder why they dont have many lanes open? Its because everyone quits because they are treated like garbage.

Always a good experience but prices are high like a other stores !

I hate this store. They have shelves full of everything I dont want. This is the convenience store of grocery chains. Yes, they have groceries, but compared to heinens and giant eagle, Im always disappointed with what I find.

This Store has a genuine home town feel and I can tell why I know this . The majority of the staff are amazing kind people, my Mother 86 is deaf and has been shopping there 50 yrs several employees know her and have always helped her . They know how she likes her bags packed some even have learned some simple signs like thank you and your welcome, that makes my family feel comfortable knowing she shops at a place that cares for there clientele.

Usually have everything I need in stock. Employees are very helpful.

I was in this Acme today, shopping for my elderly client. Store was clean and tidy. Cashiers were not. I was greeted by my cashier and that was it. She spent thr rest of my transaction talking with her coworker about grocery shopping, going out to smoke, running to her car and gossiping. This is the second time this has happened,with the same girls. The coworker was just leaning against the side of the register. She didnt acknowledge me. The receipt said Mya was my cashier but the nametag said different. Time of transaction was 1:38 p.m. on November 3rd 2020. I didnt review this location on my first time there, but since the same thing happened again, Im kinda ticked. It was very rude. No customer service. Plus the two men re doing the health bars section were rude and acted irritated that I asked them if I could get by. No a great experience.

I ordered the meatloaf from the deli, didnt taste good. Was very greasy couldnt eat it. Normally food is tasty from the deli but not today. Then when I got to the registers to check out my creamer didnt ring properly and had to wait for them to check the price

We have always loved Acme! Its one of those places that you go to l, not only out of habit because youve ALWAYS gone to Acme, but because its a local company that does AMAZING things for communities and schools. While prices can be steep at times, you cannot beat their sales! Ive never come across an Acme employee that I could have a single complaint about. Their stores are always clean, produce fresh, shelving organized. As silly as it may sound, I hope that my children grow up and walk in Acme and smell the Acme smell and think about shopping with their Mama like I do mine. ♥️

Acme is a great local store and they use a lot of produce from our region. Their meat and fish are also top notch.

Im in love with Acme. It beats Giant Eagle hands down. When I shop for groceries for 2 of us weekly, I spend about $40 less than I did at Giant Eagle. Their deli is better quality.

Great prices! I hate going grocery shopping but everything is easy to find. Very well laid out. Im in and out with in 45 minutes.

Went to get chicken for dinner. I asked the lady employee how long ago was the chicken cooked. She said about 40 minutes ago. There wasnt very much chicken there but enough to get an 8 piece meal. I told the lady that I rather have fresh chicken, because Ive had chicken there before that I thought looked okay but was not. She said that she would be more than happy to cook it for me and that it would be ready in 15 minutes. While the chicken was cooking I continued decided to pick up a few other things. When I was done I headed back to pick up my order. I noticed that the lady mixed the fresh chicken with the old chicken, she intentionally tried to fool me because I seen her glancing at another worker behind the counter. I was livid! She thought I was stupid or something. If you ask for fresh cooked chicken, make sure youre standing there to see it coming out the fryer.

I had a bad experience today as I tried to do the self checkout. The attendant stood at her post while my scanner kept saying something about an item in the bagging area. She looked over and said I dont know. As I explained I had just paid for the same item 4 times, she continued to stand without coming over to assist. Will stay with my Giant Eagle Curbside.

Nice store, get acme card for the sale items. Not the best prices, but look for sale items to offset. Never have to wait long in line. Courteous

The Stow Acme is the best. The staff is always polite and helpful. The produce is fresh and clean. The meat department is helpful and will cut or order anything that you need. The bakery does an amazing job on cakes and pastry....the muffins are always fresh and tasty. I have shopped at the other stores in the area but always come back to Acme!

The store in general is good but take my advice do not use the self-checkout because every single time I use them they never work right and Im standing there for 10 minutes to get two things! Its ridiculous!!!

Very clean. I just couldnt find anything. Not familiar with this one. But, they gave me the sale price on something,after the sale had ended,because the sale sticker was still up.

My experience at ACME is always pleasant. They make an effort to always have enough cashiers to keep lines short and moving. The staff is very helpful. I like the quality of the meat and the chicken is Gerber (Hormone Free). There is a good selection of health foods, and the produce is rotated well to keep fresh product available. Thank you.

Best stocked grocery store Ive ever been in. Looked like it was their first day open -- every item was pushed to the front and the aisles were beautiful. Staff was helpful and friendly. Their alcohol aisle is different than other stores in the area though, they have a HUGE selection of wines but other than that, just beer and basic low-proof stuff.

I have been shopping at this store since 1989. The produce used to be fantastic but I believe something happened to the person in charge. Since then I cannot recommend buying produce it is often wilted bruised and generally not something I would buy . My second problem is that they often do not have what I buy in stock. This requires an extra visit during the week. Since I am not the only one apparently buying these products you would think they would make an effort to keep it in stock to make more money.I do not know why these products that consistently are being bought out are not replaced in a timely manner. Overall Im satisfied. They very infrequently change things around which makes my shopping trips more efficient.

You have a beautiful beer and wine area. It would be helpful if you would staff it with competent, helpful staff. We have been promised the delivery of a certain wine (a case) for almost two weeks. The last excuse given by your staff was that she was out when the wine seller was at the store (which was a Thursday). This is not an obscure brand. It is Gallo. We are frequent visitors to your store but are actively seeking for your replacement. One would think that will all the choices in Stow where one can shop for food there would be some competition and desire to retain frequent customers.

They have some good sales -sometimes- but there are times were their deli meat is not fresh. They are overpriced most of the times, however, their staff can be friendly...their cooked chicken can be salty and greasy....it made me nauseous....

I visited Acme on July 23rd. Very disturbed over seeing many flies on the donuts in the donut case. Complained to Baker and was told we can not do anything be about it! Then complained to manager and was told shed take care of it ., All she did was move the trays around and close the door. I went back over and looked and the flies were still shut in there.Grossed me out!!!! I will never buy any bakery items from Acme again!😠🤬

Great place to shop. Very friendly staff that helps you out with question. They gave my kids ACME bucks and they really enjoyed it. The mothers day decorating a cake for FREE was so much fun for the kids. Very family focus place to shop.

Many items are either close to being outdated or ARE outdated. Customer service doesnt exist. This store is really plummeting quickly.

The store was mostly clean and the staff was more interested in chattering than being efficient, but I guess thats what happens when almost everyone is a teen. Meat prices are a tad high. Beer selection is better than most grocery stores.

Just went shopping (probably for the last time) at the Stow-Kent Acme Fresh Market. A young man was sorting through the strawberries on display and throwing them into a trash bin. I asked him if they were just throwing them away--they looked fine, by the way, a few bruises maybe, but still good. He chuckled and said Yeah, basically. Im not going to fault him, as hes a kid working for an hourly wage. But when I asked If youre just throwing them out, can I take them? he didnt say anything; just turned away. Sorry for the bad quality of the image, but youll get the point. What a useless and deplorable waste. I suspect the result of a stupid and deplorable policy.

Store is very clean and well stocked, however after not being able to find something I asked two younger guys who were stocking shelves for a particular item. The store was not busy whatsoever, both said they were not sure where it was and just said sorry without even attempting to locate it for me or at least finding out what aisle it was in. Maybe they need a refresher course on helping customers locate items within their store. Also this is the second time I have come across meat that was leaking and it got all over the packages, leaving me with chicken contamination on my hands. There were no paper towels in site and no one around to ask for them. The other time I had to track down someone who happened to be a manager (District manager I believe) and they had to let me wash the blood off my hands in the back meat area. I hope this is corrected soon as well.

My wife and I shopped here for years and spent at least $200 every Sunday. For the past few months they have had more and more outdated stuff on their shelves! Very poor customer service also!! We now will only go to Meijer.

Clean store with a friendly staff who are very willing to answer questions and assist with finding ingredients. Some of the produce (tomatoes.....) could have been switched out prior.

I love Acme but they never ever order enough of my coffee cream. Its always out, so why not stock more???

Better than the one in Kent, though unfortunately they dont have a policy where if something is mispriced they dont give it free (as other grocers do). Which means that you have to be vigilant about prices because there is no incentive for them to maintain up to date price displays.

Friendly and found what we needed. Low stress and my kids enjoyed the car cart!
