You get what you pay for. This is true with Delta Level Defense but in my case, I have gotten what Ive paid for AND MORE. The level of service seems unmatched. As a first time customer, I have been blown away by the quality of the products they are putting out while still being able to maintain consistent communication with the customer. Very impressive. You can build yourself a cheaper gun and, in the end, thats what youd you have. If you want a premium firearm built to last, DLD is the way to go. I couldnt be happier. Delta Level Defense is top notch. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone for not only their products but their services. Let me just start by saying any low reviews on them must 100% be from competitors, because none of them make any sense. They dont match the experiences I have had nor experiences of the several others I have referred to DLD. There are three words that come to mind when I think of this place:-Perfectionists-Professionalism-HonestyI have gone to Ryan and his teams for repairs and for a custom build. They are not satisfied until the job is done to exactly what you want and exactly at their high standards. Their builds are meticulous. Ryan knows exactly what you should put into a build for the results you want and Tommy does an amazing job putting it all together. His Cerakote jobs are mind blowing too.They do not up-sell you. They are honest on what you need and if there is something better you should be doing, they will explain why they would spend X amount more for a certain part, while allowing the customer to make the decision. Additionally, if you want something done that is not needed, while it will make them more money, they will advise against it.With the professionalism, they also have a lot of patience, keep in touch about the progress of the build and answer every single question you have (dumb or complex).Lastly, when the job is done, they take the time to go through the entire build with you. They show you how to use it, how to clean and care for it and they are there for any questions even after you walk out the door.I will certainly be going back for more builds. I would highly recommend anyone go to them for ALL of their defense needs.

Great experience with Ryan and the crew at Delta Level Defense. Having just moved back to CT recently, options for certain types of firearms are very limited, to say the least. I stopped by their shop after checking out their website and reviews to see about having them build something to meet my needs. My experience with DLD was overwhelmingly positive. I’m not exceptionally experienced in firearm knowledge and Ryan was outstanding and patient in answering all my questions and sharing his knowledge and assisting with recommendations. The quality is EXCELLENT and they stand behind their products. My build was completed a few days prior to the promised completion date. So far, I have put about 1,000 rounds through my firearm - ran it clean, ran it dirty, ran it fast, ran it hot. Zero issues of any kind. I had a minor issue with a non-DLD accessory and Ryan and the crew were happy to take care of the issue right away. Check these guys out. Worth your time.

I met Ryan the owner of Delta Level Defense in the summer of 2019 when I was in the market for a new gun. I couldn’t justify going to a gun store and spending $1600 on a gun to only take it a part and modify it with the parts and design to my liking. That’s when I heard about Delta Level Defense from a good friend of mine who is retired from law enforcement and he told me about DLD and the amazing work that they did for him. I looked them up on their website and I have to say at first I was a little intimidated by the shop and the high level of work that they do and thought why would they want to build a gun for me? I figured let me reach out to them and ask if they would build a custom gun for me and the worst they could say is no? So I called the shop and I left a message and thought I would never hear back from them. But I was so wrong because about a day maybe two days later I got a call from Ryan the owner and we spoke about what I was looking for and he told me that he would definitely like to build a gun for me and to stop by the shop so we could go over it and make sure that I got what I wanted!I met with Ryan discussed what I wanted and I have to say that Ryan is very passionate about what he does and he takes the time to talk to you and educate you about firearms and is truly a gentleman as well. We dove into the build and I even made some changes/upgrades along the way and it wasn’t a problem Ryan took care of me the whole way through!When it was finished I picked it up along with my jaw that was on the ground because DLD nailed it and I couldn’t wait to get it out to the range! To anyone that is reading this review believe me when I tell you that this gun is by far the best gun I’ve ever owned I can’t express enough how amazing it is! I loved it so much that I had him build me another one for my wife for her birthday/Christmas present and she loves hers just as much!! I’ve Dealt with Ryan and the boys of DLD for almost 6 years now and It’s been nothing but a fantastic experience every time. To see a negative review written about DLD is not only false but it’s impossible for me to believe. 2 days ago I picked up my 300 win mag and I couldn’t be more in awe of the quality, craftsmanship, and the attention to detail. This bolt gun is the 6 firearm I’ve had Ryan build for me. I trust know one else with completing a task to this caliber other than Ryan and DLD. They deal directly with the Military and LEO on both the state and federal levels. There’s a level of trust with DLD that is unmatched and there resume proves that time and again.

Good afternoon Ryan,John T here, I had you build me a CT4-2A back in the beginning of May. I asked for t 16” barrel length because the setup for this firearm was going to be 3-Gun Competition. Well now that I have had the DLD firearm for a bit and been able to send many rounds downrange and run a few competitions I wanted to provide some feedback. It’s pretty simple this rifle (sorry ‘Other’) is absolutely outstanding! Running with an entry level glass this thing is spot-on at any range, the fit-up on the upper and lower is supper tight, the arm guard is light and the balance is perfect. The Delta Level Defense is superior to all the major manufactures, I have used POF, Daniel Defense, Troy as well as many other brands and this beats them all.I think I mentioned to you my son is with 7th Group, ODA in FL, they just won the Best ODA Competition. My son is an 18B and incredibly good with this type of firearm, he always arranges some training that I can jump into with his guys when I go for a visit, I can’t wait until they get a chance to run my DLD CT4.Thanks for the excellent build,John T

You will never find anyone more knowledgeable or professional than the guys at DLD. I have dealt with Ryan personally when buying a gun as a gift. He & the rest of the team went above and beyond getting it to me on time. DLD is the only place I would go.

Best gunsmiths in CT. Refuse to take my ARs or pistols anywhere else if they need to have a look. Ryan and his team built me an 8.5in 300 blackout SBR and they also gave me a full size 5.56 upper for my standard AR and both have performed phenomenal for the most part. Just in the past few months I have taken a 4 point buck and a 200 plus pound wild boar with their 300 blackout build. A couple of minor hiccups have occurred but mostly all of these were caused by overshooting/not cleaning the rifles enough on my part or was something to do with the old pre ban lowers that we in CT are unfortunately stuck with (the pre bans were purchased at other gun stores not DLD). The few times these hiccups did occur Ryan and team quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue at minimal cost. Ryan and his team take great pride in their work and they do not mess around/cut any corners. If youre serious about your guns and want top notch repair/customization done this should be the top place on your list.

Ryan underpromised and overdelivered...He was specific that, given his wait for some new components, he could not give a solid build date for my order. Ultimately he completed my order at the absolute earliest, optimistic time he estimated.The final product was perfect...everything I had hoped for and then some. At delivery I was given plenty of opportunity to ask questions, and received some good bits of advice.The only thing I could gripe about was that the build estimate did not include the cost of my choice of foregrip, something that was required to fit the spec of the other firearm I purchased.That said, I would definitely recommend DLD to anyone looking for a built to order AR platform.

I was in a really tough spot where I needed parts that were back ordered by several months to be installed on my rifle within about 24 hours. Somehow DLD got me the parts I needed, shipped, delivered, and installed with unmatched precision all within the time frame I asked. To top it off, they charged me 85% less than a competing gunsmith two towns over who shrugged their shoulders and said they would try but wouldnt make any guarantees. On top of the gunsmith work, their rifles are unmatched in the industry. I am currently selling several of my high end rifles and going exclusively DLD after my friend with a beard and much cooler job than I have attested to their quality from overseas experience. 5+ stars out of 5 all day. Highest quality on the market, products made by guys with the real world experience and smithing experience to get it done, and backed by a genuine loyalty to men and women who serve.
