This is a grocery store to do your everyday shopping with ease. Always bustling with customers. Staff helpful when one cant find something. Sweet potato pie was delicious! It was my first!

The selection leaves you wanting in comparison to almost every other Market Basket, both in regards to the groceries in the aisles and the options available at Market’s Kitchen. The aisles are incredibly claustrophobic and the atmosphere particularly dreary (at least relative to that of my usual Market Basket).

Stratham Market is the best store in the immediate area. Both the staff and the customers are the nicest people. No rude people or stuck up noses. Plus UNLIKE the store in Exeter I dont get robbed. A few items are higher but in general i spend less than 80 bucks

I might be a little bit partial to Market Basket as I have been going there for years now. I love the pleasantness of the employees. The store also has the feel of small town simplicity which I find calming for the dreaded task of grocery shopping.

Clean and friendly is all I have to say. They make sure the customer is taken care of morning noon and night.

Took them at least 30 minutes to make a tiny pizza we could’ve made at home. No one filled the ingredient stations, so the poor old lady had to run around finding the ingredients for about 15 minutes. Whoever is in charge of restocking the ingredients needs to be retrained, not sure why she should need to go on a hunt all around the store for something that should already be prepared.And at the pricing machine, one lady didn’t even know how to use it, and one couldn’t even reach it. How hard is it to provide a step stool for your shorter employees?Plus, the lady was a sweetheart, but I feel like if your employees are not as fast as they need to be, maybe switching them to cashiering or something would be a better idea.Also, there were flies landing on the pizza and on the vegetables in the bar.PS. Please teach your employees how to wear a mask properly. They’re supposed to cover your nose too.We’ve already had issues with slow and sloppy service at this location, this was the final straw. We will be going elsewhere until things change. Went there for a sub and a tiny cheese pizza, ended up waiting an hour and by the time we came out the rest of our food had spoiled.

I don’t know what is going on in your store, but why is it that none of your cashiers can look at you and say hello anymore? Market Basket used to be my favorite store, not any more.

Great management, great staff. I hate grocery shopping, but these folks make it easier to deal with. Friendly, fun to joke around with and always helpful. Its a small place with a big heart for the community. I wouldnt shop anywhere else.

Good prices but aisles too narrow

Well stocked. Busy, but staff going up and down aisles offering directon to help customers find things. Also, were on the intercom letting customers know where items could be found. I thought that was awesome for them to do that since this MBIs a smaller store but a very busy store.Kudos to Market Basket!!

Market Basket in general has good quality products at excellent prices. However, the Stratham store is much too small so it doesnt always have the things I shop for. There is a store right next door that has been empty for 4+ years and they need to rent that and tear down the wall to expand to be able to supply all the same inventory as other MB stores.

The Stratham Market Basket is the best one in the chain. The management is helpful and so are the stockers and cashiers. The local people working here gives it a hometown feel.Market Baskets prices are almost always less than the other 2 chain grocery stores in the area.

Market Basket has the best prices. If you get what you pay for, then that is also true in terms of the facility. This entire strip mall needs a serious upgrade. This store features narrow aisles, outdated furnishings, and long checkout lines. The staff is always wonderful and friendly. If you make a list prior to going, you can count on them being out of stock of an average of 3 things on your list. That being said, MB does a great deal for our community and employs many local students. A facelift is definitely in order, but I am a frequent shopper here.

I love our local MarketBasket in Stratham, NH. Super friendly service, covid-19 sanitizing, and great specials consistently. I would welcome a continued effort to expand the local craft IPA selection.

This store must either be enlarged or shut down. Not being able to find items that are otherwise available at other MB locations is very frustrating and unnecessary time waste. Produce selection/quality, along with other key missing consumables are must improve areas to remain relevant and competitive in this area.

Even though this is an older store location the store is always clean and managed great. Paul the deli manager is a wonderful employee. Always greets me with friendly hello and asks me how things are going. My favorite MB near the seacost.

They did a very nice job helping finding things. Wife birthday, she never lets me go shopping. I was a fish out of water. An for some of you women reading this I am a guy that loves to shop but she does not appreciate my skills nor my product selection. Thanks again

A smaller but adequate Market Basket. Clean and great prices. Their frozen food selection is not as broad as larger stores, but their fresh foods are good and their meat department is also. They get extra points for delicious sandwiches made to order, in a section by the bakery and deli counter!

Its a very busy place. And once in awhile you might run into it someone you know .. I order deil meat.. pizza. Very clean... there pizza very good... the atmosphere service is great also.

Always find what I need. Never horrified at the total at the checkout. Things are always in the same aisle. Not there for a couple weeks and then gone like at Hannafords.

This is one of the older, smaller Market Basket stores. But, you cant beat MB prices.

The cashier was not very friendly and acted like I was a waste of her time when I did absolutely nothing to deserve that. Also the cashier wanted to bag my soft rolls and bread with canned goods and boxes and when I asked her to bag my bread separately she put them in plastic when all my other groceries were clearly in re-usable tote bags. THIS STORE DISGUSTS ME. I only shop here because its close

Is this the Worlds oldest MB? Surprised after all this time it hasnt been replaced. Still, the staff is terrific, just wish it were updated.

I moved up to the area from Northern Virginia where customer service in grocery stores is a thing of the past. Walking into our local Market Basket was a breath of fresh air. The customer service was amazing. Everyone that worked here seemed to go out of their way to want to help. The selection and prices are great and produce is very fresh and well organized. We are now a Market Basket family.

Price oriented store. Tight aisles but good selection of specialized/ethnic items and sometimes suprised about items I cant find elsewhere. Ambiance leaves a little to be desired.....

Always reliable and friendly staff. Shelves are always stocked and look good. Does get a bit busy on weekends and such so at times it cramped and you can have a short wait at the register, but not an issue for a shopper like me. Would love to see the big store overhaul like other market baskets, but it isnt required.

This place is a joke . Good quality doesnt cost it pays ... Do yourself a favor and go where the refrigeration is from the 20th century and the meat doesnt smell ... try and return something that is off and the management acts as though youre scamming them . You as a consumer deserve better . Treat yourself better, you deserve it . I was a customer for 35 years and will no longer shop here .

Been working here since October 2014, and its a great place too work for. All the employees are really nice too me and have great personalities, they take good care of me and make sure nothing happens too me. We also like too laugh and joke with each other when ever we are working, it makes your job more fun. Market Basket is a great place to work.

The store is very convenience but the sure do not have the variety a bigger store has. I only go in for little bit of things when I do not need a lot of Groceries.

The best shopping in the area. Great prices and a wonderful selection of freshly made hot and cold meals. Absolutely delicious. Only knock I have is how terribly crowded it is. A++ for its collection of mobility devices for the impaired.

Please dont let my three-star rating deter you from shopping here. My rating reflects my feeling that this particular Market Basket could use an upgrade. Market Basket has numerous locations which are in much better condition, bigger, brighter and better stocked. This Portsmouth Ave. location is a good place for people who live locally to shop if they just need a few items. Otherwise, if folks in the Exeter/Stratham area are wanting to do a more comprehensive shop, I would recommend traveling to the Epping Market Basket location. The Portsmouth Ave. spot is quite small in comparison to other Market Baskets. The aisles are very narrow and can feel claustrophobic. The lighting feels dim. And simply due to its size, it is unable to have as big a selection as other locations. All that aside, of the several other grocery store options in the near vicinity, this Market Basket has the best prices. There is a nearby Shaws and a Hannafords which may have a slightly larger selection, but are much more expensive. I recommend this as the best place to shop for food items in the Exeter/Stratham area.

I hate how everything is organized. That might just be me though. The produce there is ok. The workers there are really nice and seem to be working hard. Prices are fine, nothing really to write home about

Crowded, understaffed, narrow, not a new store. Years back there was talk of redevelopment of this location, of three groceries to choose from this is not my first choice.
