Yelena let my first start by saying I absolutely LOVE this woman. One month before my wedding I tried on my wedding dress just to find out my butt grew and my dress would not zip AT ALL. I cried so hard because there’s no way I can buy a new dress after spending $1600 and it being so close to the wedding day. I took my dress to multiple alterations places and no one could fix it until I stumbled upon Strongsville alterations and embroidery which was no more than 5 minutes up the road from me. I remember Yelena telling me she is the “miracle worker” and that she is. She fixed my dress all in time for my wedding and it was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! When I say I cried tears of joy she was such a blessing and a life saver. She will forever be my go to. AMAZING service and an amazing person as well

I called to get just a rough estimate of how much it would cost to get a dress altered and to see if I could have it done by the end of the week and before I could finish describing what the dress was or what I needed done this woman interrupts me and says “No no no darling, no one will give you an estimate without seeing the dress” in the most condescending tone mind you. And I said “Well actually people have but they just couldn’t get it done by the end of the week which I am calling here” this woman LAUGHED at me then says “Oh really” and I told her that yes people actually in fact have and that she’s incredibly rude because not only did she interrupt me, but she talked down to me and laughed at me and then to top it all off she hung up on me in the middle of me talking. If that’s the first impression you give to people for inquiring about your business than I’m so glad that I didn’t bother going here and giving this business my money.

Conveniently located with wonderfully flexible hours. Ive been driving by their shingle everyday for the last 4 years and when needing alternations for my daughters flower girl dress (and after reading their reviews) I though I would give it a tryIt was very easy to get in to have a fitting, I work late and had to come in in the evening which was not a problem. She didnt push a lot of unnecessary alterations, the work was completed nicely and was reasonably priced (at least from what I remember about getting my wedding dress altered).I dont typically need a lot of this type of work done but will return when I do

Amazing service!! I ordered my wedding dress online in a size that fit me in store but was so far off when it arrived, she made the back into a corset even over the lace backing and it came out even more beautiful than before it was altered! I will be going here forever!!

If youre in need of small alterations, or a full re-do of a garment, search no more. Yelena is an artisan and bona fide treasure!New to the area, I had to rely on my internet search (Google) to find someone who could re-sew a few buttons on my bulky leather coat. The buttons had become loose. Some had fallen off and were lost. It was an old coat, but a good one. Super warm and comfortable, so I didnt want to find a new one.Thrilled to find the Alteration Studio, located near my home. Called and Yelena said to come on by, giving me the price shed charge per button to re-attach them.The Studio is very easy to find, a lighted shingle hangs by the driveway by the street. On this dark evening she knew I was coming, so she turned on all the lights so I could easily find my way. Her husband greeted me at the door to her studio.I brought the coat needing buttons, but also a business jacket a friend gave me, which I felt needed a few nips & tucks to get it to fit. Yelena asked me to try it on, so she could see what changes the jacket needed. She took one look at me in the jacket and tactfully said something along the lines: I can alter it, but really it doesnt fit well to begin with. Its too big. If you have me do the work, I dont think youre going to be thrilled with the overall look. You need this jacket one size smaller.Wow! That is the kind of generous honesty we all hope for! Especially if were going to be putting out our hard earned cash. She was so right! It was too big. So I left without having the jacket altered..A few days later when I returned to pick up the coat, not only had Yelena replaced the buttons shed charged for, but she went through the coat removing and tightening ALL the buttons. Plus, shed moved buttons around (the replacement buttons were close, but not a perfect match to the originals). She had gone far above what Id originally requested, and at the same price shed quoted.Amazing! I couldnt be any more thrilled.When I arrived to pick up the coat I brought a pair of pants which had a wee bit of stitching which needed a quick pass of thread. I was going to leave them for her to stitch-up, but instead she stopped what she was doing, changed all the thread on her bobbins and made the wee patch while I waited.It doesnt get any better than this!If youre in need of alterations, from a simple button, all the way to a complete garment re-do, be sure to get a quote (and work) from Yelena. I promise, you and your clothing couldnt be in better hands.
