Customer service was excellent and beyond! Got me scheduled for the next day . Service technician was most pleasant and knowledgeable. Fixed problem and outlined other issues that would need to be addressed in the future.Overall a most pleasant experience. Well done!!!
I was really impressed with Shearwater from the time I called them and later visited their office in Stuart. Their admin (Nicole), service manager (Adolf) and tech staff (Terry, Josh, Issac) were top notch and promptly helped me identify and fix a starting problem (broken terminal to the exhaust manifold temp sensor) with my 2003 Fischer Panda generator. Price was fair and resonable. I would recommend this organization.
George managed a major project for me and did a great job with a bad situation. After the fact there was a mix-up with billing and Nicole in the office went out of her way to make it right.
This was the best repair experience (replace injectors and complete head job) I’ve had. Not necessarily the cheapest but professionalism and top quality. Adolfo and Terry kept me informed and involved. Thanks to the Shearwater TeamKent DavisSV PAINKILLER, Leopard 46
This outfit is really strong. Their mechanics are knowledgable and well experienced. They’ll take the time to survey the engines to identify issues and make sensible recommendations. And really reasonably priced.
Out of town boat buyer needed oil sampling of engines, transmissions and generator - and Shearwater nailed it. Did what they said they would do precisely when they said they would do it. Cant really ask for more! Not the cheapest - but honestly, if youre making this kind of an investment, you want the BEST. Would use them again without hesitation.
Shearwater Marine has a great group of people! Very helpful and assistive. Willing to go above and beyond.
As a new trawler owner, I had the pleasure of working with Shearwater. Andrew was a pleasant service technician very willing to educate and teach. An important point for me. Id recommend Shearwater again.
Justin is the best if you need help getting Yanmar parts! Prices are competitive and service is great!
Love doing business with them and Adolph and his team are a wealth of knowledge. Highly Recommend
I was in the market for a Marine diesel to install myself, so I called Shearwater. I was informed that I needed a Marine architect to figure the shaft angle and diameter also prop size and pitch. The salesman on the phone didn’t seam to know much about diesels or their installation personally.I was lucky to find Beta Marine and they sent me all the numbers I needed based on the length, weight and type of hull I have before I even gave any money. One week later I purchased their 38 hp diesel with some extras, and including the gauges for 14,000. I was able to have Blair Propeller price my running gear so I knew the total before I was all in. The best part about beta is that the same guy who sold me the engine would answer the phone for questions and was extremely knowledgeable. The filters and impellers are available at most automotive stores since it is a Kubota agricultural diesel. I may have bought a yanmar if the salesman had it together. I did the complete installation on my own from scratch, including engine beds and running gear. If you are handy at all then go with Beta for small diesels. You will save thousands. For the record this was the first engine I’ve ever installed and my skill base is carpentry. It is now 500 hours later and my engine and running gear are performing perfectly. If you have little knowledge and skill, but lots of money then maybe Shearwater is right for you.Best wishes and happy engine hunting.
I needed some parts for my Yanmar and Justin was fast and helpful and had all the parts I needed! Thanks!
I have been a boater for over 50 years having been born in West Palm Beach Florida and growing up in a house on Biscayne Bay in Miami Beach, I have never not had a boat and at times four so I am familiar with boats and service yards. Recently I took delivery of a new boat and the dealer and I picked Whiticar to do much of the outfitting and get ready work. I have never been as happy with the service and attention given to my project, Randy supervised every step and Bobby (Shearwater division of Whiticar) did the engine work. To say these people are through and neat is an understatement. My only wish is they were closer than a four hour trip by boat as they would have all my work.Everyone one I met connected to Whiticar and Shearwater was a very pleasant experience from the guy doing the work in the yard to the office staff. This reflects on the management and the fact they must treat their employees well as many have been with Whiticar for 30 years and more. I even had emails returned at eight PM after the business had closed, certainly dedicated employees. Thanks guy and gals, I appreciate all you do, I wish you were closer.
Great ppl
Not highly knowledgable and little respect for the consumer
