Wonderful work, great people. they have blown glass, cast glass sculptures and paintings. And soon will open another gallery on Third!
We made the drive from Green Bay and they made us feel very welcome. Cant wait until we can go back for some classes.
Interesting pieces on display. They had a new furnace and werent blowing that particular day.Art is as it is, very personal, imo. Some things are fab and some not so much.Dont let that keep you from here though. They do very nice work
Taking a glass blowing class has been a dream of mine and my mothers for years. On a mother-daughter trip to Door County we decided to splurge and take the private class at Popelka Trenchard. It was an AMAZING experience. I fully expected to come away with a blob of glass to remember my time, but both my mom and I created two beautiful pieces (a paper weight, drinking glass and two vases) that were proud to display. The instructors were patient, taking the time to educate and guide us on the process. The class was very hands on with both instructors directing and helping as needed. If you have ever toyed with taking a glass blowing class, do it here! You wont be disappointed.
Came in looking for something special for a birthday gift and were greeted by one of the artists. She helped guide us through the many beautiful pieces of art that would work with our budget. Their pendant lights were stunning, as were the sand cast pieces were inspiring. We will definitely be back!
Only looked in from the sidewalk, looked pretty neat inside. You could see them making glass items right from the sidewalk too.
Definitely worth a stop. Pieces are unique and beautiful. Owner/artists are charming and willing to educate you about their processes and work.
Quite eclectic. My girlfriend was very impressed. I was too. Very imaginative stuff here.
Some friends and I had a class at Popelka as a birthday treat. Jeremy (the instructor) was wonderful at adapting to three very different experience (and confidence) levels. He was great at explaining and keeping things interesting while unobtrusively assisting when help was needed. In terms of price, our session was about the same as I paid for a similar glass-blowing event elsewhere. The big difference is that we were far more involved in every step of the process and we got to design our own pieces - the type (cup, vase, ornament, paperweight, etc.), the overall shape (short/tall/wide/flared) and the colors. It was a great time and I definitely recommend it as a fantastic afternoon excursion.
A wonderful experience! Jeremy and Chelsea we so patient and informative. They did an excellent job and we love our creations!
Stopped by in the the hope of seeing someone blowing glass. We saw part of a class. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and telling us about their work. The glass pieces for sale were beautiful.
My husband and I made a few pieces and we LOVES it! Very nice and patient! We plan on going back this summer to take our oldest child.
Very friendly! Beautiful art!
3 of us were there for a private class - it was just excellent! The gentleman teaching us explained everything we were doing and why, and effortlessly adjusted to our three (very different) skill levels! I highly recommend this experience!
A place one can purchase ready made masterpieces of glasswork or sign-up for a class to make your own. The owners are very friendly. If there is a specialbpiece of glasswork a person would like to be made, it can be commissioned by the artists. I have enjoyed taking classes at the studio. I have been amazed at what I could make with the patience and assistance of the instructor.
This place is fantastic ! Jeremy a wonderful teacher ! An experience of a lifetime and we got to make a few pieces that are beautiful keepsakes! Jeremy and Stephanie thank you for a your kindness, knowledge, and a day to remember !
