Went to camp out. Arrived a little after 7:30. Paid for the night and then went to bring my car and trailer in and they said you cant bring them in after 7:30. They did not mention that when I said I need a campsite. I understand the policy but did not see any mention of it and would have thought the ticket counter would have known or at least said something.Aside from that, the Kid Rock concert was awesome.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Had a good spot for camping. The chef at stage west cafe food service was excellent. The young chics taking the offers and serving were friendly and fun. Had a good time watching the bands and everything going on.

Loved it... The only thing is.....that you definitely need to bring your bike all the way in or bring a golf cart or rent one because its a haul in a half to get way inside where the stage is. If you dont....Prepare to walk a LONG way!!!

Awesome crowds, events and plenty of people watching. Everyone was polite and helpful, willing to assist first timers. I recommend coming early, before the crowds start to literally roll in. Remember you are among hundreds of thousands of your brothers and sisters, respect is key to having a great time.

We did not attend a concert. Just stopped during Sturgis to look around, have a beer and buy a T shirt. Beer was warm, tried 2 different places. No one cleaning up, empty beer cans and small trash sitting around. T shirt place was closed. Disappointed, maybe its just a goid place for a concert?? We wont be back to the Chip next year.

Awesome place been 5 times. Needs more shower houses and flushing toilets. Vendors have been better in the past.Definitely coming back in 2022

Previous review was 5 stars. Changing to one star as their concert VIP no longer includes meet and greet with the artists. This change was made without notice to hard working folks who paid several hundred dollars per ticket. Good customer service should have included at least a refund option or partial one at least. Neither was offered. All that concert goers received was entry to the pit in front of the stage that was over sold and couldnt accommodate those who paid the exorbitant amount. Disappointing. Wont go back.

Great place to camp and watch a concert. Check-in was orderly with plenty of staff to direct us to our camp location. Food selection was good, prices seemed inline with a venue like this high.

This place is an awesome place to enjoy your rally at 2020 was awesome 2021 was okay except all the yuppies came back besides that it was a good time

We arrived Friday 8-6-21 and this place is huge! We rented an RV and its very nice and clean. We have only been here 1 day but its looking like its gonna be a great time

The constant rumble of all the bikes where soothing. Ate lots of dirt😂. Great concerts. Awesome food. Wonderful people.

They have everything here!!! Bars, bands, concessions, a tattoo shop. Could use a little money put into to renovating the restrooms and a few other areas but had a great time overall and love the setup.

Cool place to stop in for a drink and check things out. Looked like a great venue for events. Service was friendly & on top of things. Huge campgrounds. Only downside was a bit of gravel area which was tricky for motorcycle traffic.

Had to make at least one pilgrimage to Sturgis. Glad I went, spent time with my son so it was a win before we left home. No one ever mentioned that Sturgis is very hot and very dusty two things that really sap my desire to do anything. Im old what can I say. My son however had a great time with all the concerts and other events at the Chip. Its the place to stay if your going to Sturgis and if you like live concerts of main stream bands then the value for your dollars is well spent here. Just be prepared to be very hot and if dust effects you like it does me then bring your Covid masks and wear them whenever you ride or are walking near moving vehicles because dust is kicked up and settles on everything. I am home about 2 weeks and still coughing up bits of South Dakota dust.

Crazy busy, but I guess thats what it was all about. Kid Rock was amazing, of course. Lots of fun and barely saw much of it. Might have to go back.

Between the concerts and the bikini beach and the great campground... I would choose to stay at Buffalo Chip every year. Had planned on staying for only first 3 days ended up staying until the very end...

If your going to the bike rallies there is no better place to camp. Concerts were all great. Absolutely a blast.

Roads were bad especially for bikes but best campground in sturgis. Black cherry and kid rock rocked the stage. Good people all around.

Great time. But after 40in business they should spend some of there money they over charge everyone, and put some money back in to the camp ground!! Roads areterrible! Inside campground!!

Loved the concerts here. Really didnt enjoy the stay at the campground. To much comotion all night long, mainly from the Party Host

Sharing on behalf of my father about his recent experience at Buffalo Chip:We want to share out experience at The Legendary Buffalo Chip. My brother, AC, from Virginia, and myself, Honda Dean, from North Carolina, rode there to fulfil a promise made to our brother, Howdy. He wanted his ashes spread at the Buffalo Chip.Upon arrival, they were closed as there are preparing for this years rally. We met the owner, Woodie, and his staff. We explained to them our reason for coming there.Once they heard our story, they went above and beyond our expectations to accommodate us. We want to let them know how much we appreciate all they done to help us fulfil this promise.AC and Honda Dean

This is a hard place to rate. They have excellent entertainment, have vendors for food and merchandise. There is ample room for camping, although no specific sites; just wherever you can find an empty area. There are portajohns everywhere and a few bathrooms and showers. The portajohns are horrible; smelly and filthy. I dont know what the cleaning schedule is, but it isnt sufficient. There are only 2 to 3 facilities with sinks, not nearly enough. The outhouses dont have any sanitizer to clean hands and most often no toilet paper, so come prepared. There are a few showers. I used the ones near the general store. They are free.They are okay, although you may have a wait. It would be nice if there were more of these facilities. They do have showers in another location, which are $10 per use. I cant rate as I didnt use them. I wasnt willing to pay that much to shower. If you want to sleep, this isnt the place to come. People up until 3 am revving bikes, playing music, etc. Then others up at 6 am doing the same. So just be prepared. I have been here many times, so this isnt from one time experience. It is pricey, so know what youre getting into and decide what you want for your camping vacation. My husband loves coming here, I do not. In summary, it does have some nice features, but a number of big drawbacks.

Last year was our first time going to Sturgis. We got there the week before the rally and tent camped at the chip. Had the best time and made lots of life long friends. We are all meeting back up at the chip this year for another 2 weeks of the most fun a person can have.

Well what can you say, its a must stop for a Sturgis trip. Concerts, history, people watching, games, body paint, bars everywhere, bike shows. Gotta do it!

First time staying at the chip.Too much to list it all. Great experience for the eight days we were there.

Great place to go if youre okay with partying till 4 in the morning, but a lot of noise comes along with all that partying. Ear plugs dont help, too many engines revving and people yelling to have a good night sleep.Dirt roads everywhere resulting in dust on everything and in everything.

Loved seeing ZZ top! Ribs were good too! Parking always difficult! Part of the experience 😁

The staff was great in moving the amount of people there. We definitely recommend renting your own toilet facilities.

We had tickets from 2020 and tried to get passes today on the first day but they won’t give us tickets because I would have to go back Monday. I’m leaving town tomorrow and the tickets are in my name so now my husband can’t go at all because they wouldn’t give us passes today. What a huge waste of money. I couldn’t go but he could have. I feel ripped off for over $400!

Ridiculous long lines for pre-purchased tickets, ridiculous long walk to get from ticket window to venue (and back) Paid $200/pp extra for VIP seating. Private bar, private potty... the bar had at least a 45 minute wait most of the night, 2 porta-potties for entire group of ~200 people. And we were in the middle of the field... not close enough to see anything special... had to watch the whole show on the big screens that were to the left and right...

Garbage pro ethanol advertisements at the Geico main stage. Ethanol gums up a carb in a month and lowers fuel economy. Also, manufacturing ethanol requires more energy than it produces.

Really fun place! Saw Kid Rock during the bike rally...there were places to grab a bite and some shopping even but everythings super pricey $$$$. I did have a friend pass out from heat and EMTs werent hard to find♥ got them back on their feet asap. Thanks

Best campground and concert venue in Sturgis!!! Best price for all week too! Best concerts during the rally in Sturgis. Who else has had ZZ Top, Willie Nelson and Family,, Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Godsmack, Stone Temple Pilots, Styx and Def Leopard....Full Throttle Saloon can only get Def Leopard and ZZ Top cover bands!!! Lol not even close,,,Buffalo Chip is the best party in Sturgis and also the safest!! For late night crazybfun check out the party at Bikini Beach every night after the concerts. So much fun it will make ya blush!!! Also Buffalo Chip has the big engine bar and bike bikini wash for NO COVER CHARGE east entrance!! So maybe youll see me there for 2021!!!! Party on!!!

Was so totally incredible, so many bikes such cool concerts so many cool people

After the concert there was no plan for vehicles to exit the parking area. Although there were marshalls to park the cars, there were none to evacuate them. The resulting traffic jam took well over three hours to sort itself out.

Great campground with top notch entertainment. Never a dull moment.

If youve never been, you HAVE to go. If youve been there before, then you already know. The Chip is THE place to be at Sturgis.

Its a fun party. Its a bit of a dump but it was a great time, however its not worth going back.

BS had to wait an hour in line to pick up tickets that I purchased 6 months ago, mail them! No staff to guide you to where to park, its a free for all.Over an hour wait to buy a beer. When leaving another cluster. No organization. Wont be going back!

Buffalo Chip is the place to stay during the Sturgis Rally. We have a dedicated crew with a great bunch of folks who love to ride and hang out at the concerts. Between the toy haulers, campers and the tents we have an amazing time. Woody and his crew are amazing and we always feel welcome and safe.

Glad we had experience but will not return to this campground. Party central, dangerous after dark, very pricey to shower

The best place to stay during the rally! I would like to think of it as a mini Woodstock lol. So many different people from so many walks of life all having a good time! Live concerts every night! Who could ask for more! We tent camped for 8 days and I would say I would rather not tent camp again though. It was 100° during the day and 30° at night! Also a hail storm the night if the Godsmack concert. Overall best experience for a bike rally!!!
