Dirty bathrooms. No one wore masks. Hello does anyone here know what age were living in?!? Health and safety standards so low I dont think it would even meet 1921 health codes.

Cant or will not keep the store stocked. Still blaming it on the bad weather from 2 years ago. Nope just bad management and employees.. worst Walmart ever.

This walmart is sad...the prices are all different from where the product is on the shelf ..the staff are moody and down right disrespectful...its just a shame..I will drive to Chesapeake before I ever shop here again...keep ur eyes on ur receipt its awful how they dont adhere to the Walmart advertising...

Walmart on Main Street in Suffolk....Grocery section in some of the aisles is RAGGEDY AS ALL GET OUT ....PEOPLE WANT TO GET PAID BUT DONT DO THE JOB RIGHT...STOCKERS DO SUCH A HALF A$$ JOB....

This store is held in terrible conditions. Its not what it used to be. There was one man who worked here by the name of Edwin and he always put a smile on my face while stocking the shelves. I hope hes doing well and not working here anymore.

Overall decent visits. Unfortunately some of the shelves seem to always be a little bare whenever I go but ultimately it is a pleasant experience each time.

One stop shopping for all you need

Im giving 2 stars only because the people who work at the pickup area are good. Other than that I plan on going to a different store 20 minutes further away so I dont have to experience going into this Walmart. Employees arent super helpful and not stocked very well. If you cant do a pick up. Go to a different store. The inconvenience will be worth your time and effort

We spent 5 minutes while two different associates looked over our receipt to make sure we paid for everything in our carts. Its bad enough that we had to checkout ourselves without being treated like theives.

This place has been here for years and had gone downhill? There is a major renovation going on and they are worth a try. I was impressed with the new look!

Lately very spotty on merch.(that could be COVID) Absolutely zero scanners for checking prices, and if you are lucky you can find an employee that has a phone to check it. Never advertise Gen Merch doors are locked. So you park and have to walk all the way down to Groceries. No consistent time doing it either. Store has really gone downhill.

Not enough help. The shelfs had hardly any food. You just never can find no one to help you find anything or price check.It could definitely use improvements.

Fully stocked shelves, wide variety, and great team members. By far one of the best Walmart locations Ive visited.

Im going to give them 2 stars The ones that work in the pharmacy great but the ones that work at the exits need to do better by the seniors if your hurting wont even let you take a short cut you have to go around also the bills paying part is great

I have never had to wait in line to get checked out or go through self checkout. The bathrooms are almost always clean and user friendly; and the deals you find in this Wal-Mart . . . No two Wal-Marts are the same. That being said, the deals I find here are seemingly on-going and some of the best that Ive come across as compared to other Wal-Marts.

This Walmart seems to always be low on stock for the stuff I want and never has any carts. I typically have to find a cart outside and bring it in because there are hardly any available inside. As far as items go, they have a decent selection but I often have to go to Chesapeake Square Walmart or somewhere else to get everything I want. Its ok for basic necessities but if u need anything specialty or wanna get bulk items, I would go somewhere else.

Was a nice clean store was able to find what I needed.

The store was fine, the workers were kind, but the security guard at the self checkout was so rude. She stood watching me like a hawk and tried to tell me how to bag my groceries. Ive been using the self checkout ever since they installed them and this has never happened before. Made me feel very uncomfortable.

Decent store, had everything I was looking for. Employees were a little clueless and looked at you like you are unconvincing them when you ask a question but all in all a nice store

Very friendly and was able to find things easy with no problem. Will visit again if ever in the area again.

For Walmart, seemed like they had good options and food on shelves, dont typically shop there so it was a change while visiting the area.

I asked nicely 3 times for assistance at sporting goods FROM 5 EMPLOYEES! And no one came to help upon speaking to the Lead up front she was very rude when I asked her for assistance seeing as I had waited in store 30 minutes at this point. To which she smuggly replied “okay?” 10/10 will not go to this Walmart ever again!

Its a fairly typical Walmart. We had to dodge people restocking shelves. There were no cashiers at registers. But the prices are hard to beat. Worth the minor frustrations.

We bring our own bags.They sell their own reusable bags..Yet the cashier is not allowed to use them.But yet they have gloves and touch EVERY SINGLE item *I* just touched.How is this logical?

Everytime I go to this Walmart, Never have any products that Im looking for. Have to drive to Newport news. Had only 2 lanes open and would not except cash payments at any scan and go register. Waited in a line of 25 people til I ask to speak to manager and she finally opened another register.

One of the worse ran Walmarts I have been to. Always in disarray. Would not reccomend.

Its coming up on 30yrs ago that its was opened. I helped open this store. It was cleaned and stocked and the associates were helpful

While it was a good visit; didnt find everything that we needed.

Sold out of mostly everything. Which is probably a good thing for them, but not good for the the late comers.

Work on keeping those shelves stocked more often and hire more cashiers, not everyone wants to use a card every time at self checkout which causes the circus lines at the 1 or 2 registers that are open.

After standing in sporting goods for an hour before anyone show up after being page over 20 times the employee says he doesnt have a key to the case... Reaching my blowing point I walk to customer service spoke to a manager she says no one in the store has a key to the case its not her problem and walks off

Every time I go in there, one of the main things I go in for, they are out of. Then, I get to the front and have to ring up my items. Last time I checked, I dont work there and I dont get a paycheck from Walmart.

They need to keep their electric chairs charged up for people that REALLY need them & not for clowns just acting like they need them!!!

Recently the store was rearranged, theres nothing wrong with that, but none of the staff seemed to know what was going on or where anything was. I went in to get some fabric for a restoration project and waited almost an hour for 5 different associates to find the counter manager for the crafts and sewing department. I know its not the associates fault for anything, given they have to use a special barcode maker doe the specific amounts of fabric and they werent trained for it, but the fact that a manager was nowhere to be found. Eventually it started up a line of people and the manager showed up just for us to wait even longer since even she didnt know how to use the barcode maker. Overall mess of a store in the management and training section, but the store itself is generally clean and now that its done with the remodel, easy to navigate.

Yesterday and today, that pharmacy went above and beyond to get meds for my grown daughterCalling across country to get it in time so she would be safe .Wonderful over worked people greatly appreciate their care and service. Thank you ..

Do not like the new layouts of the stores. Dont like that the craft section has been reduced to practically nothing.

Suffolk Walmart all out of avocados today. Why is my burger selection looking so sad? And also what happened to the gourmet cupcakes? Get it together or Im taking my money to ALDI next time!!!

Store appeared dim and dingy. The ailes were crammed with stock and merchandise all on the floor.

Prices arent what they are when they ring you up, its something totally different.

I am a Senior Citizen first all there were no baskets inside basket area and the Lady checking recipts looked at me with no concern when I went outside to get cart then I came to self checkout had not used before I said I hope I can do this she walked away so she did not have to help me. I have encountered kazy,lazy, professional cashiers before. As a resident I will not come here anymore for nothing. WORSE walmart ever

Back to being made to wear masks even having been vaccinated. Out of stock in the entire jewelry section.Problem in many Walmarts I have been in. Craft beads also empty.

We used the grocery delivery option. We are both handicapped so this service is a life changer. Great job.

Those plastic bags at the produce, then the meat counter. Then you go to the self checkout and those bags stick and you cant open them. They need good bags.

Were very busy had only one cashier line open several self service was open cashier said Walmart is going to self service waited for 40 mins.to get through the line I do not like self service. I do thing they could have had more then one cashier. Will not be going there anytime soon this has happen the last 2 times that I went there cashier said they had to cut back employees because of what they have to pay them.There is Kroger,Food lion, and Aldies, them. Will be going to one of these stores.

So glad theyve reopened the General Merchandise end of store due to COVID protocols, its much easier to get in, pickup, and get on my way.

Courteous staff friendly environment love to shop there

This Walmart Super Center was out of my local area. But I found what I needed there and much more. One thing there was not enough registers open for the long lines and crowd. Suffolk Va.

Not happy with the service most disrespectful employees I have ever dealt with! If they dont like their job they need to find another one and they need to treat customers a little bit better A lot better actually. Went to buy a trash can the trash cans where stacked up all together and the same spot and said $10 even got a manager and did not get it for $10 because come to find out they were $60 my opinion I should have got it for 10 because thats what the price said at the bottom they need to learn how to put stuff where it goes with the right price!

Why oh why must Walmart always look run down. Okay I get that they want to keep the prices low but a worn out looking store doesnt keep me in there very long. Youre better off asking another guest where something is in trying to find an associate.

Ive seen better, in nicer areas, but for this area it is pretty good. Other than Walmarts corporate design.

The shelves were stocked surprisingly well (unlike previous visits). There was a presence of helpful people where before it was hard to find someone to help. Walmart has improved in these ways. I wont hesitate to go back now where before I would only go if I absolutely had to. Good job Walmart!

Great prices fast check out lanes

I went in one night for a computer desk. I was unaware that the self scanners were gone to check the price of an item so I kinda just stood around trying to figure out my next move. I saw the young man Nicholas, stocking shelves in one area so I didn’t wanna bother him. I went back to my desk and still no one. I saw Nicholas again so I grabbed him up this time. Not only did he stop what he was doing to assist me, he voluntarily walked with the desk in his arms around the store until I found a cart to put it in. He also asked did I need help loading it in my car but I declined. The next day, I went in looking for an outlet plug and he recognized me, mask and all!! Not only was I satisfied with his service and dedication to help me, I liked that fact that he builds bonds with his customers!! Keep up the excellent work, Nicholas!! Good pick, Suffolk Walmart!!!

Store was packed but social distancing was in practice. I was able to get the things I needed and get out in less than 30 min..on Xmas Eve! Which is amazing.. probably thanks to the 3 security guards directing people,🤷

Typical Chinamart stopped in for some groceries for a couple of days. Nothing like our Florida Walmarts...

Store is a disaster. No one is really able to help you. When asked about the dressing rooms, we are told oh hell non are you crazy. The shelves in mens clothes have under and t-shirts packages opened and scattered every where. This store used to be an example of what Wal-Mart show look and operate like. Now it is worst then a closing K-Mart

Its the holiday season, people stop by to pick up supper or something and its dark and theres NO LIGHTS ON in the parking lot. When brought up to the store manager The lights arent on in the parking lot managers responded I know and walked away. Thats bs... there are families in the parking lot trying to get to their vehicles. This store is a big enough store to turn on the lights when it gets dark....

It’s not dirty or anything it’s just they never have anything stocked. Certain vegetables look like their going bad already. They do have some deals especially on TVs. Just know fruits and veggies might as well go across to Kroger’s.

I dont know why. Not sure if its because this Wal-Mart is located very near a rural area so its all poor people and country folks, or maybe there is high number of some unforeseen population demographic within a small distance of this store...I dont know.What I do know is this. Things like:-Cheap BrakeKleen,-car batteries,-painting supplies,-a last minute cordless drill,-a dremel tool you need now,-power tool bits,-hand tools,-trailer wiring/car fuses,-or plastic storage bins.Are almost always out of stock. Whatever you need. It wont be there.Ever.Maybe the managers and those in charge of stock at this particular location do not apparently understand whatever unique demographic this store serves? I dont know.On *MANY, REAPEATED* occasions, Ive run up to grab one of the aforementioned items, and its out of stock. I never recall not being able to run into any other Wal-Mart in any city Ive inhabited for the last 44 years since Ive had my own money, and not been able to go to Wal-Mart for BrakeKleen, a car battery, a throw away cordless bit set, a drill, or Rubbermaid/Sterilite bins and not been able to walk out with what I ran up to get.Wait, you say you just need some Sharpies? They wont have them.Oh, you arent a handy-person, your GF wants you to stop and pick up Bow-chicka-bow-bow juice, and the drug store is closed, or you were hoping to not have to pay Rite-Aid prices? Nope. Not at this Wal-Mart.I should point out, that the Northern Suffolk Walmart, same city, 25 minutes in the other direction, does not suffer from this affliction. Neither do the Wal-Marts in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Newport News, Richmond, Williamsburg, or anywhere really.Also, Im talking about pre-Covid days. Its eleventy-nine-kagillion times worse now.If you have a project that you have to get done and your drill fell off the ladder, or you forgot that you changed your Girlfriends oil so the 5W-20 you bought for YOUR car is now gone? NO 5W-20 FOR YOU!!White Spray paint? All gone.Silver Spray paint? Nope.LED light bulbs? LOL dude come on, you know the answer.Free and Clear laundry detergent? SURVEY SAYS? BAAAAAHHHHMP.Lights are out on your dashboard and you need car fuses? You must be new, because, OF COURSE THERE ARE NO CAR FUSES.Unscented Dove Soap, because EVERYWHERE always has plenty of unscented Dove Soap, and.....THEY ARE OUT OF UNSCENTED DOVE?!?!?!?!I know what you are thinking. You think Im just a crazy white boy, who is just typing away, being a male-Karen, and you just need to run up to the Wal-Mart at 1200 North Main Street to buy [insert any random item you really need, at all, on any day that you need it]. Listen, to me, this Wal-Mart, will not have it. They wont. Just ever.It makes no difference what you need, or when you need it.It doesnt matter *where* the other Wal-Mart is, how far you have to drive, or fly to get to that other Wal-Mart; It doesnt matter if you press an accelerator, push a flight stick forward, use Hyperspace or a Warp Drive; because every single Wal-Mart that has ever existed, exists now, or that will ever exist, anywhere in the entire Universe, on this plane, or in a parallel dimension that our consciousness can not yet comprehend......every single other Wal-Mart will have that one thing you REALLY need, and the Wal-Mart at 1200 North Main Street in Suffolk, Virginia will NOT. Ever. Have. It. In stock. Ever.Periodt.

Id like to know what corporate genius decided to move everything in the store to a different location without signage or pricing markers in the middle of a pandemic. Serious short falls on entire inventory. Only one way in or out of store making it impossible to social distance. Do Suffolk VA a favor and shut down until you are ready and able to support this community. Average wait time in checkout line is more than 40 minutes. Avoid this store at all cost.

Love this Walmart. It is not huge but has everything you need. Self checkout is a bonus.

The Walmart in Suffolk Va is one of the nicest I have ever been too. The staff is very courteous and helpful.The manager should be proud of his or her staff.

This Walmart is closest to my house but I hate shopping here! As usual the price that rang up was not the same as on the shelf. When you ask someone to change it they spend 10 mins on Walmart.com trying to find the price. HELLO! I dont care what price the web tells you I care about the big price on the bin or the sticker on the shelf! As a result I really dont end up saving much more than the competitors.

The store was not stocked meat department was almost empty. 5pm and no fish, shrimp, wings, or steaks the worst walmart ever🤦

I love Walmart my favorite store the workers are very helpful friendly and always smiling so if you want to visit a pleasant store that make you feel like family visit Super Walmart.

I was at Walmart at the sporting goods section, had to look for someone to help me but of course they had to call someone and waited and waited 2 more ppl came back but that wasnt there department. What happened to customer service. I will never go there again.

Sometimes you cant find all the things you need at one time. It forces you to have to get other items at either another Walmart (i.e, Chesapeake) or other food shopping institution

This is an amazing Walmart. There was no line when I checked out which is sooo different from the Portsmouth Walmart where I normally go.

I had to return a Christmas gift and I had no problem returning my item with out any hassle. Good job wall mart employees 👍🎄
