I like that it is not an overwhelming store. You can usual go right in and come right out with what you need. Produce looks, feels and tastes fresh. And the prices are good.

First bad Lidls I have ever been to. It wasnt very clean,poor selection,bakwd goods looked old and dried out. I and the other customers had to call out and wait to get anyone to come up to a cash register.The flower plants on special were dead.

The pies they carry are really great. Use to get them all the time with my dad who loves the apple....I prefer blueberry....honestly we share both! Also the brick cheeses are a good deal, too.

Wow! It’s about time America got a lidl! Loved my whole life in Portugal and Germany, and now in America. And it’s taken America awhile to get lidl. Best grocery store ever!

Pros: good value on most items, excellent bakery items, great seasonal items.Cons: The staff is super unfriendly and unhelpful. If you ask for assistance, they pretty much ignore you or act like its an inconvenience to respond. I always say hello to the cashier when checking out and thank you after I pay, and 90% of the time they dont even respond. The only exception is the older lady with gray hair in braids. I literally wait in her checkout line, even if its longer, because she always is engaging and provides excellent customer service. She should train new hires on customer service! Another con is that a lot of items dont have the price listed on the shelves. If its an item I dont normally buy but am interested in, I often pass it up because I cant find a price.Id recommend the Lidl in Chesapeake, its 5 stars and worth driving a few extra miles.

Love this store! Clean, organized, and great finds on wine, produce and cheese. I come here weekly and take advantage of the Lidl app as well for additional savings in coupons. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. They really believe in their store. I recommend trying all of their brands, as Im usually very pleased with the product.

I love this store! Its open, clean, bright, and organized. However, there are never enough check outs even when lines are long.

I just fall in love in this department store. The place always clean and neat, so many products you can find from vegetables, meat, sea food baking supplies, chocolates, cheese, bead, frozen foods, tools, children toys, decorating and some of basic clothing item and always from this store I found the cheapest price eggs than other store. If you download the app is very good benefits many coupon and rewards ( I just got $10 off coupon ) and if you used paper roll bounty they have also similar like that same quality but cheaper price. the cashier always very fast with transaction but sometimes only one or two is open in same time.

I shop here several times a month. Almost always the freshest veggies available at any store locally. I do wish theyd stop moving things around to different aisles though.

A seemingly well stocked grocery store. A bit pricier than ALDI but a great variety of meets and seafood. Variety of breads- I enjoyed the sourdough, and a great variety of vegetables, beer and wine. The fruit was almost a dollar more expensive than ALDI and I dont think it compares to the quality of the ALDI selection.In the freezer I found an Asian smoothie mix with lychee and mango- decided to try it- it was not good- one cant even detect the taste of the fruit, but I guess this is to be expected from frozen fruit.I have shopped there only twice- my impression of the employees working there is that they are either very tired, overworked or plain unfriendly. I hope they get more rest if its the former.I will not visit there anymore, but at least gave it a try.

Lidls is a nice market, variety of groceries. I do wish they would have more than 1 cashier checking customers out. Normally, when Im in there, there is always a line backed up in the 1 checkout lane. Finally, after a lengthy wait, another cashier will come up. Please correct this for the sake of your customers.

How NOT to do customer service!!I was in Virginia Beach and bought small packages of chicken tenders not realizing that the larger packs were on sale. Fast forward a couple of hrs...when I got to my friends house in Suffolk, she told me I had paid almost twice as much for the small packs and should return them for a get a large pack. I ran to this store, which is close to her house, to do what I THOUGHT was an easy exchange. First, despite my saying that I wanted to do an exchange, the clerk had already scanned my new purchase and instead of cancelling it, he had me pay for the new purchase. Then, I guess the tape or ink needed to be changed at the VB store because the receipt from 2hrs earlier would not scan and for whatever reason the numbers could not be punched in?? After several attempts by two different clerks, the looked at me like we cant help you had to ask a THIRD clerk what to do, and they gave me a gift card...you can scan the chicken to give me a gift card, but you cant scan or punch in the numbers to do an exchange?? Im not a Lidl shopper, this may have been maybe my 3rd or 4th time ever but because my friends shop there I figured why not. Well now I know why not!! What would have been a simple exchange at any other store, not only wasted my time while 2 different clerks tried to figure out what to do, caused me to spend more money and now I have a gift card I dont want because I dont plan to shop there again...oh, and the attitude of the female clerk needs to be checked!! It was not my fault that the VB store did not change there tape and it would not scan. But her attitude stank and she not only did NOT apologize for the delay/confusion of 3 clerks having to get involved, but when she handed me the gift card, there was not thank you, or anything resembling customer service, but more a here and she walked away. No worries, I wont be back! I can get better customer service elsewhere!!!

I was pleasantly surprised! This is a beautiful, clean, store. A bright and colorful produce section greets you upon entering and invites you to explore. Incredible selections are offered throughout every department of the store. The prices...wow savings. Lidl makes good, healthy food more affordable and accessible.

Nice store. The few times I’ve shopped at Lidl the lines have been so long. Really need to plan extra time for each shopping trip. I prefer Aldi’s options, brands, and prices.

Never knew a German store to not have kielbasa...open more than one lane at a time also plz tho you do when its backing up but always best to have 2 either way

I like shopping at lidl...they have good prices.

So first, the obvious positives. Its clean, and has some items very well priced. Tortilla chips and salsa should not be bought anywhere else (clearly my go-to). But theyre is always a trade off. Low cost? Check and double-check expiration dates! You arent saving money but potentially losing it. Watch produce!! Everytime I get it, Ive ended up with fruit flies ( though that can happen anywhere). My veggies were already expiring by the time I got home though they looked fine in the store. I should have looked more closely. Otherwise, enjoy!

I used to come to this store first then have to go to Kroger to meet my organic needs. Lately, this store has all of the organic items on my grocery list which means the last visit did not require me to go to Kroger at all. I am so so very happy and love the store.

This is a good place, if you want items such as fresh fruits and other produce. You can find good prices on meats, seafood, some wines & beer. However, dont look for a wide variety of products. Its more of boutique grocery shopping experience.

While Lidl offers a more limited selection of food options outside of their store brand, they make up for it in quality, taste and longevity (as in they last much longer in your pantry or fridge before going bad over other grocery stores). Remember to bring your own bags unless you want to pay for the bags they offer in store. Fresh bakery items are offered and they do requests for items such as cookies or donuts for pickup once you are done shopping.

The store is very nicely laid out. Although you dont get a lot of name brands, I have found that using the store brands is just fine and you cannot beat the price. Eggs, milk, cheese, bread are exceptionally low priced. When they have specials on their vegetables and meats they are quite reasonable as well. All of the meat is USDA choice for the beef. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their chocolates are really good. You have to bring your own bag because they dont have them but you should be doing that anyway. The alcohol prices are also well below normal.

Enjoy shopping at Lidl. Vegetables and fruits are fresh and prices are lower that other local stores. Lidl brand products such as chips, sauces, frozen items are lower in price and taste the same or better than name brand products. Enjoy their bins of weekly items to purchase like clothes shoes household products that are very reasonable on price. The store is always clean and there is always staff available to assist.The wine selection is great and also lower in price.

Everything at Lidl is so much cheaper than competing grocery stores! Every Lidl has been consistent in that it is extremely clean, high quality, great customer service, and great store layout. This new one in Harbor View doesn’t disappoint.

This store is out of the way for me but I happen to be in the area so I stopped in and grabbed a few things. I would have gave the store 4 stars but when I saw that they carried Earl Campbells Hot Links I gave the store an extra star! The store looked very nice and well laid out. The products they carried were fairly inexpensive. When Im in the area I will make it my business to stop in and shop.

My first time at lidl was great. Everything is either their brand or some known brands. Lots of items just not a variety of the item. Prices are great. Dont forget your bags. Also you do bag your own groceries.

Shopped at the new Lidl store in Suffolk, and was thoroughly impressed at the store, low prices, and variety of products. This was especially a pleasant and memorable experience for me because as Service member stationed in Germany for two tours, my family and I shopped at Lidl, religiously. Im pleased to have a store in my community that I can walk to.

Very fresh vegetables and fruit for competative prices. Great selection of breads and pastry. They offer specials from Europe like Bratwurst, Macarons, Italian pasta, fresh fish, great selection of cheese, even Mascapone, European frozen cakes. They usually offer a nice selection of flowers, too. The staff is friendly and helpful. 4 stars because I am missing a bigger selection of fresh herbs for cooking.

Lidl is the best grocery store in the world. They have everything you need at incredible prices. Doing the SAME shopping, we spend 1/3 less a week. You wont regret coming here.
