Store was recently remodeled. Very nice. Found what I needed quickly.

Today was the very first time visiting this store, and I absolutely loved it, beginning with the yarn wall and the discount we found and ending in the register with an extra discount and the lovely associate named Shae, she was very very attentive and helpful. I’ll be coming back for sure!!!

Found exactly what I needed promptly with fast friendly service

This is the best Joanns location in the Houston area, but it still isnt particularly good. Store is cramped and hard to navigate. Staff is not helpful (except for the cut counter, theyre great). The machines/accessories section is actually owned by another company and the staff in that section are the least helpful unless they think youre going to buy an expensive machine, they are rude if you dont look like you can afford one. I ended up buying elsewhere.

Great staff and clean store.The fabric selection blew my mind they have tons of notions that you would need too. Found all the odd things I needed and fast. What I couldn’t find they quickly pointed out to me. The fabric section has tickets but it was slow and the cutting lady didn’t make me feel bad for not wanting to waste paper and use it when I was 1st in line one time and 2nd the next.Got some great coupons at check out too!

I love Joann better than Michaels. The service, price points, organization, products and available sewing classes are just outstanding.

The store has a wide selection of fabrics and notions that one novice like myself can choose from to practice piecing together a project.Lorenzo and Jan were most helpful in assisting me with my fabric selection and were both so pleasant. Both are an asset to the company and will be a good role model to any new staff.Thank you.

Nice place for people looking for some special DIY stuff. This shop is mostly dedicated to fabrics and sewing stuff. The other part is classic home decor and how to make necklaces and other stuff.If you want to buy fabrics and sewing stuff I think this is the right place for you. I hope they have a website with more interesting stuff. I hope they will post a message and explain everything better.

Would like to see more staff available at the fabric cutting station. Only one cutter at station and customers waiting. For the number of staff in store, looks possible. Continue to have good service otherwise.

Joann is nice for fabric, but for any other items especially cricut items, Michaels has way better deals at the moment. I love this store and will still always shop here for fabric and sewing materials. For any other craft items I will have to compare prices because when crafting is something you do for a source of income, every expense matters

I was in the market for some burlap to recover a cat scratcher, and JFC was conveniently on the route of our errands. My mistake was thinking this would be a quick pop-in/pop-out situation..They had a nice selection of burlap, which looked to all be the same price. Of course, you have to take the bolt to the cutter for pricing, etc, and that is where I learned the selected fabric was more expensive; it had a cute pattern, so it would figure it would cost more. It just wasnt apparent in the marking on the shelves. The cutter alerted me to a coupon on their website, which I could show on my phone, and that reduced the pain if not the annoyance..I was also ill prepared for the long wait at the cutter. There was one staff at first, dealing with annoying ladies arguing about all 25 of the fabrics they had brought. The employee was not churlish, as I would have been; she dealt with them with patience and grace. When the backlog of people became impossible to ignore, another staffer appeared, then another. Even so, it was a 20 minute wait to have my yard of burlap priced..If you are a fabric store regular, this probably sounds familiar. To irregular customers, you are now warned.

DROVE 15 miles to get there 8 minutes before closing. There was an employee standing outside the door talking to someone. As I parked she rushed in locked the doors and pushed bins in front of both entrances/exit. 852 is not advertised as closing time. Its bad business to advertise operating hours and not follow them.. Another customer rushed up after me. I Frequent this store because I work in the area....not any more. Wasted time and gas and still cant finish project that I only needed one item for. Whatever happened to just doing the right thing.

Really nice store. Big with a large selection of many different crafts. Lots of fabric. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Good place for quilt fabric, nursery decor, fleece, formalwear, and home decor. Not so big on everyday fabrics. My favorite Joann in the Houston area. Neat and clean.

Very nice employees, but they sometimes get overwhelmed with customers. Try and find the cheaper version of whatever fabric youre buying, especially if youre buying lots of it. They tend to have a lot of sales and coupons. The layout is organized and easy to follow.

Great place. Loved the staff. They are very helpful all the time. I went like the last 30 minutes and the cashier let me use her discount code after telling be to upload the app for discounts. I uploaded the app for next time! I happy she told me about the app cause all I do now is shop there more. Lol!

My best fabric store and how I love their coupons

Bought a machine from McDougals.Employee was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained policies thoroughly.

I am rating this Joann Fabrics #1 star due to their employees lack of covid safety adherence. There was an employee working on the floor with her mask pulled down to her neck. If this wasnt bad enough she approached me closer than 6 feet! Texas covid safety guidelines ended however Joann policy per their website states all employees will wear a mask at all times! Although I have shopped here on several occasions and I like their selections of products I will no longer shop here. I prefer to shop where customer safety is a priority and feel this is an unnecessary risk to their customers.

Went to get fabric and quilt batting for burp pads. The lady cutting my fabric said yes, its a good batting as its needlepunched and wont shift. Found it in white so it will keep the white look of the top muslin layer. It was on sale, as was the flannel I purchased.The line gets long at times. Lots to see when I have time to wander the store.

Front desk staff Grace was very helpful and did more than what others would do if presented with a similar scenario. I did not have a JOANN app set up the day I went to buy my fabrics. I told her that I saw a $10 dollars off for purchase of certain amount on my e mail. Grace help me load the Joann app so in return I was able to save more money. Thank you Grace at the Sugar Land location.

It okay if you like waiting in line.

I was able to find what I was looking for so close to Christmas, so very thankful; however the customer service needs some improvement. I walked past 4 employees, two on there phones and only on person spoke and shown any customer service, a lady with an afro and she walked past me as I was looking at something, I never noticed her at all but as she walked past me she spoke and said Merry Christmas. Now I will admit that upon checking out there was a customer who wasnt happy and a lot of couponing going on so I get it, however I remember think as I walked past the young girl with the head wrap how she was the second employee on their phone and didnt even glance up to assist.

I can always trust this location to find what I need for projects. I moved far from Sugarland years ago but still come out that way for a one stop shop. Big store, big choice of fabrics & trims, on-site expert on machines and sewing tips or dilemmas, nice selection of seasonal decor & theres always a sale!

They advertised a fabric for the regular price of $49.95, we show them our coupon for 50% off and was told its on sale now for $35 . We said you dont have it advertised as $35. We spoke to the manager and he didnt honor the coupon either. I told them this is false advertising. He hunched his shoulders. We stood outside in the sun for 20 mins before entering but was never told to get a ticket in order to make a purchase so it was another 20 mins to get treatment like that and for them not to honor their coupons I took a picture of the tag. Dont believe the advertisements and coupons they dont honor them, false advertisements.

Very clean and neat found everything I needed

Just used their curbside pick up option and it went great!! Professional and safe! I called to let an associate know that I was in the parking lot and in a matter of minutes they brought my purchased items to my car.The only thing was that my order took 1-2 days to be ready for pickup. I thought I’d be able to pick it up the same day or next morning. Had I known that, I probably would’ve tried to find a different location that had the fabric that I wanted. At the time this location was out of most of the fabric I wanted.

VERY RUDE STAFF. No one offers help. The ladies who are cutting the fabrics are super rude as if like you owe them something. I usually go to the one in Katy when I show them my military card they will apply the discount at the register and no problem. 3 days after I went to this store and they have no clue as to what Im talking about. They are telling me to download the app so I could get the discount. 😲. The store is dirty and the staff here are again rude and stuck up. Not going back again!!

I went to this Joann to buy fabric to make face masks during the pandemic we are currently in. When I went to get my fabric cut, an employee by the name of Trish asked me to step back to the green line. I understand we are in the middle of a health crisis, but she did not ask the person in front of me to step back....nor did she ask any customers after me. (Yes, I waited to watch). In fact, she even leaned forward on the counter and talked with a customer who was right up on the counter. The only difference...the color of my skin. I am very insulted and dismayed by this behavior. . When I returned the fabric to her and explained why I wasnt purchasing it, both she and the clerk next to her over-talked me loudly and patronizingly dismissed what I was saying citing social distancing. However, social distancing should be applied to everyone... equally. I will no longer be patronizing this store even though I am an avid sewer. I absolutely have a choice about where I spend my money, and I wont be spending it at the Joann Fabrics in Sugarland. I will also most definitely describe my negative experience in all of my sewing groups that I follow on social media.

The bottleneck is at that cutting board. Maybe there can be more staff cutting fabrics during peak time.Also, its crowded in that area so the fabric thats on the aisle and the cutting board area should be removed. There are many people with baskets of fabric to be cut and that whole area is just cluttered

I love how efficient the procedure is to list the price on your fabric ticket. It is done electronically, whereas at Hobby Lobby, another favorite of mine, prices are handwritten. If youre purchasing a lot of fabric, this becomes very time consuming.

Awful customer service. Theres not much floor staff to help nor are they knowledgeable, no fault of their own I assume. This company needs to adopt an organization (labeling) system like IKEA where customer like myself can find items (online database) without the assistance of staff. Heck, it will probably help staff as well.Situation: After walking the whole store...Do you know where to find ____ and ___ (not very popular) materials? Yeah, if its over there somewhere. Umm, Ive been there and all around the store-twice. Long blank stare at me, no attempt to actually help find the items.
