Nice store but today I was shocked. I purchased Rotto cookies and my kids saw a small warm crawling inside a newly opened biscuit pack. I bought 3 packs of which we will not be eating. The store just closed so I was not a le to inform the store personnel. This just riendly warning to others please check the cookies thoroughly before consuming.

Everyone here is awesome and helpful. I regularly get my goat meat and few other items from here and will recommend to everyone.

I visited Makkah Mart tonight for the first time to buy some meat and general asian and middle eastern groceries. I was impressed by the choice, quality, price and availability of the desired products. The place is also the cleanest ethic grocery mart I have visited in Houston. I would recommend it to anyone in the Sugarland area or Houston seeking a clean, quality and cost effective grocery shopping experience. I will definitely be returning to conduct my shopping moving forward!

Staff is kind, welcoming, and helpful :) The store is organized and has a wide variety of items - it’s our go-to halal grocery store. There are also a bunch of beautiful Ramadan decorations available right now!! 🌙

This is the cleanest and most well kept meat and grocery store I’ve been to in Houston. The owner is very nice and helpful and ensured that everything is well stocked. The prices were good and the meat section had a large variety to choose from. The cut up meat items looked so clean and well prepared that I felt like getting everything. The only part I wished was better stocked up was the vegetable section. Also, It’s on one side of the store so I didn’t know it was there until I was told. Overall, I Will certainly return and recommend it to everyone I know.

Dropped by this shop today while I was in the area for something else. Pleasantly surprised to see Middle eastern, Turkish and Indian/Pakistani groceries in one place. But most of all, their meat section was something else. Well stocked and massive amount of choice. Including kebabs and such. I believe theres a butcher on site to cut meats to order. I saw two customers going into that section. Bought a couple of prepackaged meats. Also found Turkish manti in the frozen section which was cool as I just saw this on a show last week

Good place for to find halal and turkish foods

Makkah mart Halal meat is considered the best in sugarland in term of quality as for other Mediterranean items or bread they are little bit more expensive than phonecia but in general it is ok as it near my house and more convenient.

The prices were good and the meat section had a large variety to choose from.

I really like how clean this place is. They offer a wide variety of middle-eastern products and local produce and soft drinks. The halal meat is clean but a little bit expensive. Overall it is worth stopping by.

Going to this store for 5 years and like it so much, best place for meat in the whole Houston I have tried so many store but this place is so clean and they have best quality meat.

Great place to shop indo pak products and middle Eastern

Nice clean store, friendly people. The only problem is the prices displayed and the actual prices are very different. Would recommend an update on the displayed pricing.

The management 2 years before was very poor, but once the new owner bought Makkah Mart, it get better, but they need to improve it

Food was so delicious. this place has a good design.

When we visited this store, groceries were very limited and pricy, not alot of options for meat, and felt there was alot of empty shelves

I have nothing bad to say about this location. The staff there really do an amazing job at keeping everything clean and sanitized and keep the shelves fully stocked.

Very good place to get all your essential groceries. I would surely visit again because the owner’s son, Asher, has a very heavy Indian accent which really gives you a bang for your buck.

The place is clean and welcoming. Good customer service and the fresh meat is very clean. Not a great place for fresh fruits and vegetables but the rest of it is awesome.

Middle Eastern groceries, Arabic groceries. The owner was kind. I wish I found this place earlier. This is so convenient if you live near Sugar Land. I hope this post will help people find him on Google map because if my friends didnt tell me about it I would have no idea

I like to get a few things here that I regularly eat and drink, like tea. The staff offered a suggestion for me and now there is two more things on my reccuring list. Always clean and friendly.

In front of me, the cashier was really rude with another customer. Even last week, the same cashier was talkative; he talked a lot with me, it was boring, and I think his boss was there, and his voice (his boss) was too loud (noisy). Today I came because I wanted something from there (just this store has it in that area), even though, it was expired when I looked at it. If I am able to rate this place below 0, I will do it.FSIS, do something !!!!

Fresh halal meat

I buy 4 boxes (11lbs) of dates every year before Ramadan to donate to a local prison. Last year I bought them without trying. I got a box for myself. When I tried it the day after it tasted funny, spoiled. Since the other 4 boxes were already donated to the prison they only refunded me for one box. Why sell it in the first place.This year I stopped by again to buy 4 boxes of dates since the location is convenient but to my surprise they were priced $76 a box (11 lbs). Similar 11lbs majdool dates are sold $45-$50 all over Houston.----Expired products all over!We were regular customers to Makkah Mart. Once we found out that the castor oil we bought was expired. We took it to the store next time to return but we didnt have the receipt. They refused the return and claimed it is impossible to have any expired products on the shelves since they check regularly. We couldnt prove it since we didnt have the receipt.Couple months forward my wife was doing Ramadan shopping and she found several expired products. She took one sample to warn the owner at the register. The only response from the owner was to get another one which is not expired.We stopped going there after the indecent.

Watch when buying the Udhuiya Qurbani. Most of the stuff would not come with it and the price is a rip off.They sell Halal but they eating Haram from the people money.I paid 250$ and i have not got any of the organic after they assure me it will be included and they said it is onside when i pick it up.اللهم خد حق كل من نصبوا عليه عاجلا غير اجل. امينReplying to your lie below: my Udhuiya was order for the third day so i am not from the first 20.you should be afraid of Allah not afraid of loosing business.

Halal Grocery good staff good quality meat

Clean and well stocked store. Fair prices and butcher on premises.I discovered the small kitchen inside serving delicious shawarma and cream baklava. What a treat. I took a chance and asked them (Jamila and Khaled) to cater my thanksgiving meal. They delivered Roast beef (Lebanese style), rice with ground beef, hummus, laban, zaatar, and manaeesh pizza to my home. The price for the delicious 10 person feast delivered piping hot and ready to serve was only $210. The food was excellent and my guests loved it.

Absolutely worst place to grocery shop at. The guy who owns this place is an arrogant ARAB. Doesnt appreciate our busniess. He carries all expired product and about to be expried products in the store, please be mindful and check the dates before you buy it. I bought into his deal of buy one get one free of chocolate spread, which had about a week 1/2 to be expired. When I got home and opened the bag, the seal to one of them was broken, I immediately called him to see if he could exchange it if I brought in. He flat out refused and said that is his loss and he would have to trash the bottle. Even after explaining to him that this is how it came from his store, which he accepted, but said it is okay for you to use it. A totaly health hazard, I am surpirsed that no one has reported to him to Health & Food Administration.
