Wonderful lunch experience with my girlfriends. The food and tea were both delicious and the atmosphere was just darling.

This has always been one of my favorite little lunch gems in Summerville. Its a cozy place with a limited menu, BUT absolutely everything they serve is fabulous! Sherry (the manager) and Sandy (the chef) are terrific! They do an amazing job selecting hot and cold tea specials for the day. You start with these pop-overs served with flavored butter that is different everyday. My favorite item on the lunch menu is the Walnut Chicken Salad served with fruit and crackers. They also offer one or two kinds of quiche specials everyday, and they are always exceptional. There is also usually another soup and sandwich special, or casserole special. If Sandy makes it, you can bet itll be out of this world!They are open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00AM-2:30PM. Then they offer an afternoon tea service Thursday through Saturday from 2:30-4:30PM, but the tea service requires reservations.Here are pictures from the special Valentines Day dinner we had there a few days ago. A few times a year, they do these special dinner events, and this, our first one, was quite incredible! Here are some pictures.

After being in several Tea rooms from Savannah to Charleston, I must sadly say that I was very disappointed in both the atmosphere and in the presentation of food. The walls need painting after pictures have been removed and hooks remain. Old curtain hooks are still in the window moldings and current curtains are hung improperly. Plastic flowers, hats, mantles and other fixtures need renewing or washing and the overall decor lacks luster, charm or appeal. The whole interior needs spring cleaning and an update.The gift shop looked defunct. The yard needs manicuring.The food was not up to par and over priced and staff were not dressed in any sort of apron or tearoom attire. They wore jeans and tee shirts.I will not be back.

We hosted a bridal shower here and it was perfect. Server was phenomenal. Honestly the entire staff was great! The decor is so homey and comfortable. Book your event here for a wonderful experience :)

This is one of my most favorite places ever! I LOVE tea and they have different kinds teas that they serve every day. The setting and atmosphere is so very neat and quirky. It is very unique, with southern charm.And the spoon cake is one of my most favorite desserts ever in my life!!!

This tea house is adorable! The food is amazing and their tea is delicious! I just love the mismatched charm of it and whenever I walk into this (stand alone) house I feel like Ive transformed myself into as far away place, away from the hustle & bustle. 😊

My favorite place in the world! Cozy and inviting decor and staff that treats you like family - it doesnt get much better than that, does it? Oh but it does! Their food, tea, and desserts are delicious and their pop overs are to die for! We go there regularly - highly recommend!

Great place to relax

I had a beautiful baby shower here. They did an amazing job and the food was great! Try the quiches! Also, one of the best seafood Salad sandwiches Ive had. Great place for taking your little girl for tea.

If you are a lover of tea a place that is special for lunch and the people are friendly and want to just sit down and relax time well spent is just for you. It is a Victorian Tea house so they do have a lunch menu and they also serve high tea. Also sometimes they have special occasions for dinner like they will be doing something for Valentines Day but you always have to make those reservations way in advance but its a beautiful place to go it also has a brand new owner but hes the former owner left the new one her all of her recipes so if you love to you this is a place youve got to try

Very cute but it seems like it has gotten overpriced. $56 for high tea for two. That’s a pot of tea, light food (a tray of scones and quiche slices, and a little portion of salad.) With a tip that’s over $60 for tea and snacks for two.For what you get, I’d expect to pay more like $35-$40 totalPlus the server was not-so-subtly trying to clear people out to close up, and it wasn’t quite closing time. Nothing makes you uncomfortable like someone asking “how are we doing over here?” with that tone of “are you about ready to go yet?”Also, their bathroom was mildewed.

We try to go when Im in town for lunch... Im out for work a lot. They have the best teas in town... $3 gets about a week or two supply. Lots of choices.Theres always a veggie and a meat quiche for lunch, always a really good chicken salad, and usually some unique special item. You cant really go wrong with any of them, just be sure to save room for dessert.The place is very laid back, super nice staff. Just ask and youll hey whatever you need. We love it.

This is a little jem of a tea room. Visited on a weekend and the place was hopping, so you may want to call ahead. Had the High Tea with my daughter. Lovely tier of finger sandwiches, fresh scones and cream, quiche, fruit, etc. All of the food was yummy! Would have liked to have a choice of hot tea to drink, as I do not like fruit tea or tea with mint (offered). Super cute atmosphere and, thankfully,quiet enough to have a conversation. We will return.

This is the Old South. Afternoon tea with the ladies or a special event such as a birthday would be perfect here. Small rooms for private dining, cozy nooks for quiet romance. The only shortcoming is a very limited menu, but the new management is working on that. I really enjoyed the chicken walnut salad and a chocolate-orange tea.

Excellent luch there today. Our server was so pleasant. Really enjoy all the updating the new owner has made to the place. Time Well Spent. Definitely will return.

I have come on several occasions to this establishment for the last decade. The main staff is still there to this day. The poppers and strawberry spread is still excellent. The inside decorations have changed over the last couple of years. But what places dont change as the times go by. Yet all in all this Tea Room is small, cozy and has the transcending feeling of going to your own secret fairy meadow away from the harsh realities of the outside world. If you want a place to enjoy tea, that has a magical friendly atmosphere. This is the place to be. :) :) :)

I am new to the area and my mom came to visit. She asked me to find a tea house. So many people told me to go here. I Have to be honest...from the outside we were a little worried, but when we went in it was pretty cute.We both had quiche and dessert. It was excellent! We also enjoyed the tea. We will be back :)

Loved this quaint little place!

I treated my mom and daughter and surprised them to this awesome place. It was the ultimate Tea Party atomsphere, I had them wear head pieces and dresses. The food was great and the staff was awesome, even met the owner she was very inviting as well. I would definitely recommend this place for bridal shower dinners, baby showers or even just the girls brunch.

Nice experience

My first time there and it was surely a Time Well Spent! Atmosphere was wonderful, no rushing us to leave, food DELICIOUS, staff friendly, answered my curious out of town questions. It made me want to go back home and open one with my daughters. Blessed!

Sweet tea room with friendly staff and tasty popovers. Good desserts. Im not crazy about their quiches and unfortunately they often use tomatoes or strawberries in their daily teas and salads so Im limited in my choices there. They do carry a huge variety of teas and tea accessories for purchase.

Great food, service and ambience

Really nice place and great food. I had the walnut chicken salad and the blueberry cream cheese pie and I must say it was delish! Overall it was a great experience.

If you want an amazing afternoon, enjoy the full tea at this Scottish tea room. Fabulous food and a homey, country atmosphere. Youre guaranteed to leave feeling relaxed and satisfied.

Overpriced for the amount of food you get. Staff was snarky when we arrived. I said we had a reservation and the gentleman at the front said everyone does. I know that but no one was asking my name, they were just standing there. The day before I called in to check the time for my reservation and they had difficulty finding it. Tea was served in a commercial coffee pot. Ive been to tea house before and have never been disappointed like I was comming here. I will not be going back or recommending.

Our family went to a cool, recent dinner event specially held by the TWS for the holidays. When you get there, you’ll notice the quaint decor. Prior to our arrival though, the staff was very accommodating as to our arrival time. They were very kind in fact.We met our server, and she explained our options on the prefix menu for dinner. However when you taste the dinner, you realize immediately the descriptions couldn’t possibly begin to do it justice. What one would describe as a ham potatoes and veggie dinner, was amazing. The potatoes were a roasted medley, and even living in the south I have never tasted sweet potatoes roasted so perfectly—or found them to be part of the medley even. Before that though, we had popovers and one of the best She Crab Soups I’ve had in Charleston. So the food was amazing, and the service was even better.Our server took considerable time after our meal to walk us through all the different teas and to help us make our purchases. She even told us how to brew the tea as they do there, and we went home and did just that. We are still enjoying our teas in fact.My compliments to the owner, and their chef. I understand the chef has been there for some time, and incidentally she is the reason I learned to cook popovers! PS if she would share some of her popover recipes with me, that would be great!

Food is homemade delicious, simple yet great. Popovers are a treat! Desserts are always delectable.

My first impression as I walked to the front door was its so small. But once we walked in I was blown away! It was very spacious, big enough for a good size party, elegant and very quant. The lunch we were server was excellent. The staff was very promt and curtious. I will be going back!

We have been going here for several years, the new management is just fantastic! They made a special plate of food and pink tea (lemonade) for my 3 year old and she was the belle of the ball!
