Dirty location... And bad coffees... Pumpkin spiced latte all foam, not very tasty or sweet at all. Barely even warm, not hot at all. Very disappointing for 7 dollars. Should have gone to Starbucks. Service was OK... Originally asked for a pourover coffee in large they refused said they can only do small. So I settled for the latte... So mediocre. All the tables were covered in crumbs and the floor was also dirty. The door and windows were filthy... I do not recommend coming here. Go elsewhere. See my pics.

High quality pour-over brews and cappuccino. Very tasty donuts. Nice location and ambience/setup. Parking can be a challenge at times. Wish they also had some savories such as ham-cheese and spinach-cheese croissants etc. Reasonably friendly staff also.

Boxwood Coffee is a really beautiful coffee shop with delicious pastries and a nice amount of variety on the coffee menu. It’s probably the best coffee shop in Summit currently. However, the quality of their espresso-based drinks does sometimes vary. I’ve gotten certain drinks, like the honey cinnamon latte, on several occasions. Sometimes, it’s smooth and incredible. Other times, there’s a very strong bitterness. I never add sugar and always get the same milk, so I suspect it’s a bit of inconsistency in the preparation of the espresso.Nevertheless, this is still a solid coffee shop. Their specialty drinks like the matcha cardamom latte are a real treat. I’ve tried their cookies and their carrot cake whoopie pie, which were both amazing.

Very good coffee. The pumpkin spiced latte was elite. Perfect amount of pumpkin and not too sweet. Not sure what the last guy ‘christopher’ is talking about. Yea go to starbucks if you want a 100gram sugar pumpkin spiced latte- you must have the taste of a 12 year old.

Recently moved to the area and started coming here. Staff is always friendly, helpful with drink recommendations, and efficient. I’m a big tea drinker and their selection never disappoints - definitely recommend the apple cider rooibos for fall and shoutout to the staff working on 10/13/21 🤍

Best coffee and cafe in this part of NJ. The Summit location has very elegant decor, friendly and efficient service. There is lots of seating in the spacious and airy dining room. The coffee is among the very best Ive ever had. This is a must visit in Summit.

My granddaughter took me there. It was her Mothers Day gift to me. The coffee was great and the place has a warm feeling. Liked it a lot!

The snacks options were very limited but the coffee was great! We had a flat white and a hot chocolate. I absolutely loved the hot chocolate! The drinks were actually hot for a change. The hot chocolate was not sickeningly sweet and tasted pretty good! Would like to come here again.

Had a really great oatmilk cappuccino here, while passing through town.Its a def 8 on a scale of 1 - 10. 😊Ive been to hundreds of different coffee cafes over the last few years, including many in Manhattan and Brooklyn NY, so I have plenty of shops to compare to.They also have HU chocolate 🍫, which is one of the best vegan chocolates around.Happy that I found a great cup of Java today.🥳

Very pleased with my oat milk cappuccino and the blueberry bar was absolutely delish. The baristas were super friendly and I felt so welcome here! The whole shop was very clean and had a good atmosphere - which is a lot to say for a coffee shop during covid!I’ve been participating in Boxwood’s virtual monthly quiz for the last 6 months so I was happy to come in and get to see the place where it usually happens live. Hopefully we will gather here again soon.

The barista was very knowledgeable about the coffee, he explained every detail. He even helped out when I bought packs of coffee to bring home. The staff members were all friendly and accommodating. While waiting for my coffee, I enjoyed looking at their award plaques, which reminded me of my barista years a long time ago. I so love it! Its worth the money! Much appreciated!!

This is a commuter town...you would think they would be fast paced in the morning but not even close. That’s probably why there is a line out the door at Starbucks and not here on the regular.I do recommend this place over anywhere else in town...if you have time. Not a place to go if you’re in a rush.

Super cute coffee spot, very hipster chic. The coffee/tea is delicious and they have a fairly nice selection of bakery items (recommend the scones). It does get pretty crowded sometimes, and they dont always handle too many people that well.

Fantastic coffee! Whether you are a fan of drip, espresso, nitro, or cold brew. Its all good here. The espresso is smooth and not acidic. The baristas know what theyre doing! The food is always spot on delicious. And they roast their beans up the road in Westfield.Overall, awesome place. They have evening events, too!

Great Nifty little coffee shop that doesnt just deliver on the feel inside but also delivers on the product. With fantastic employees behind the counter that really make the overall experience great. I would like to see more locations of this shop as I feel it would do very well and people that really like a good coffee product would benefit from it.

This place is so nice. Great coffee, delicious pastries (the cranberry scones are my favorite), and cool decor. They seem to host events like trivia and barista throw downs, although I haven’t been to these before. They also sell some coffee equipment (aeropress, burr grinders, etc) if you need to stock up.

I like an affordable good cup of coffee (its on par with prices from Starbucks if your in that crowd but better taste), I got the special drip kind from the colander and it really didnt taste any different from if you where to french press it. Its kind of a gimmick (they sell a bunch of them to where I had to make a joke about how much the made in Japan one cost), but I do have to say there beans are really good! Coffee had a nut taste with no harsh bite. I like most of my coffee light roast for the caffeine and this was really good.

Meh... They dont have cups for large sizes, so you are forced to have your drink in a disposable cup. Seats are uncomfortable. Some students hogging the tables. Didnt get a warm cozy feel that would make the evening cup enjoyable or a nice cafe experience.

They use Intelligentsia coffee most often, which tends to be less dark roasted (even their dark roasts) than Starbucks, so if youre looking for a less burnt/charred/roasted flavor, this is the place to go. The beans pair especially well with their mocha.

Its a great space for meeting friends, doing work, or just chilling. The staff is very nice and helpful, when you order. However, I was disappointed with the food. Granted, I picked the blueberry bar not knowing it was gluten free. But it was too rich, hard and bland. I decided to save it for home where I could heat it and maybe make it better. Instead I purchased a small apple muffin. Another overly fatty, zero apples, no flavor, mass produced and overpriced item that I threw in the garbage after 2 bites. Upon standing from my seat the very nice staff person offered to take it and thanked me for clearing it myself because so many people just leave the dishes. It totally went over her head that I was dissatisfied after spending my money 2x. Even after I said I didnt like it. Does she honestly think throwing barely eaten food away is normal? By the way, the large Americano with room for milk, was too weak! Come on folks! If youre going to be overpriced, at least be the best!

Pretty good place. Solid lattes and baked goods. Best thing is the hours. I am usually at cafés early (around 6 am) or late (7-8 pm), and this place has me covered either way.

If I could leave zero stars I would! I stopped in on a afternoon and they visibly were not busy. This was my first and last time visiting due to the fact that the supposed assistant manager. He was rude and rushed me through my order. Instead of walking me through the menu which was written on chalk boards and smudged he decided to talk to me in a condescending manner and even suggested I go to Starbucks. I’ve never been so offended in my entire adult life at any type of cafe and to make matters worse, He absolutely refused to grab the GM for me and said She didn’t have time to deal with something petty like this and he will be glad to help me and gave me an espresso shot on the house which I didn’t want and I decided to just storm out to get away from that place as soon as possible. I do not recommend this establishment to anyone. And to be quite honest my ice latte I did order was terrible and I honestly probably would have received a tastier drink from Starbucks.

Was disappointed with the medium roast I took out.. seemed like someone didnt do such a great job with the particular pour I got.. somewhat disappointing from a roastery. Food is good but the selection is fairly limited.

The place looks great except for the concept of the space layout. Its hard to truly enjoy this coffee shop the way its set up, because you can easily hear everyone’s conversation.

Just had the Nitro cold brew (think offspring of a pint of Guiness and a sassy yet sweet ice cold coffee). Truly a match made in heaven. The gluten-free blueberry bar was phenomenal. Shiva was great, she was both knowledgeable and friendly! Well worth a Sunday drive.

Alright right around the corner from Starbucks, its a very poplar place, good coffee, friendly staff, good offerings. Its a nice place to kick back with a cup of coffee.

Great setting and friendly people, however the espresso tastes burnt, even in the lattes and cappuccinos it tasted more bitter than smooth. Also theyve forgotten my order several times and it is expensive.

Okay, so I frequent this place every once in a while because its open 24 hours and its right by my apartment. When this location first opened, I was unimpressed with the food, but the place is clean and the prices arent that expensive, so I didnt need to declare then and there that I would never return.Well, Im glad I did return (multiple times, in fact)! The food has definitely gotten better which is obvious by the crowds and lines youll see if you attempt to have dinner here on a weekend evening. Ive had a number of dishes from here and theyre all pretty good. The side dishes are plentiful and yummy, which is SO important, and the service is excellent.PS: Theres an entire downstairs seating area that I never knew about until a few weeks ago! Good to know that theres more space to seat more people especially when its super busy.
