Id rather leave 0 stars. I attempted to return a game set that had a couple of broken/missing pieces the other day that I had bought a couple of days prior. While explaining my return reason at the register to the cashier (whose badge said store manager, but denied that she was the store manager) began shaking her head as in no and then rudely asked if I had my receipt in which I replied Yes I do. She then let out a loud sigh, took the receipt and scanned it. The scanner didnt pick up the transaction so she stated that I couldnt return the item, or I had to come back the next day and speak to the store manager. I explained my work hours conflict with her suggestion in which she called the other manager in which he tells me that its nothing he can do and would I like the number to Family Dollar customer service.In addition to that, the cashier on the register next to us, was ringing up customers while having personal and unprofessional conversations, including the use of profane language, on her personal cell phone using a Bluetooth headset.She also yelled at a couple of teen customers within seconds of their walking into the store, telling them to buy something fast or get out. This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences Ive ever had and I will NEVER again shop at a Family Dollar Store. I reached out to customer service on the toll free line and on Twitter for assistance. No reply.

What a mess

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!And they NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE, even when no costumers are their . I’ve called while inside just to see and no one bothered to pick up . I live 2 blocks away and perder to travel further just not to deal with these people !

A great place locally to find things you need

This is the most disturbing Family Dollar I have been to. The managers and employess are not helpful at all. I had an issue while in the store and neither the employee or the MANAGER could assist me and my husband.. Definitely no training! This is sad and unprofessional! This store needs and upgrade. Goodbye FD.. You suck!

What ever time I come into town I enjoy coming to the Family Dollar I get a chance to see the Steven reading also many family and friends I dont see often.

The service is pretty terrible compared to the other stores but its convenient for me as a disabled vet needing a cane to walk since I live across the street from the Summit,IL location. However I am more concerned about the blind eye and green light they seem to have given to a confirmed drug addict that preys on customers right outside the entrance who even acts in a threatening manner to customers who turn down his demands for money, especially if hes belligerent and intoxicated!! Im among the growing number of store patrons who are taking our business elsewhere just to avoid being hassled by the scumbag named Steve and I invite,no I implore a district manager to visit the store and see for themselves rather than taking my word for it.... I wish someone would do something about the issues behind the low rating of this particular store. Any other locations management would at least ask him to vacate the properly and call the police if he didnt comply.....

A good place to go if u need last minute things for your party.

Ghettoish place ever. Rude staff. I was surprised that the cashier seemed nice at first, but her mouth to a customer was horrible. All the lady did was needed change, in which the cashier said she had, but then changed her mind and said she didnt have it and the mgr would not give it to her. The cashier proceeds to talk to the customer being rude, then turns and talks about it to another customer. This place does not recognize that without customers youd have no job. Respect customers and this includes the manager(thin, 2tone dreadhead)!

This place should not even get 1 star. It is falling apart and so dirty the store manager should be ashamed of themselve and embarrassed. Go to the one on first av and Plainfield Rd.

I walked in. I saw the manager getting beat up by a customers children after calling there parent a B****.The police were called and he filed charges on the children.I considered selling tickets.Unprofessional management.Good place to go if your in need of a good show.Pass the time and browse there selection of cheap foreign brand knock off shoes and clothes.( They ask to hold your tote bag or backpack upon entrence. They dont permit entry to minors with out them being accompanied by an adult.)Not even an adult couldve save the manager that day.# Dmnck

A good place with great variety

Current store manager is completely useless. I think he is called Dominic. Ive been going there for years and have never seen it in a worse condition.

The most disorganized store i have ever been to. And employees laughing behind register, cussing how its not their home so who cares. Also with a butt exposing man infront if the store and they did nothing.
