Was very satisfied with the service and experience I received. Though I wasnt notified of a cancelation of my order. They quickly reordered my items and will receive them this week. During this pandemic everyone has mistakes and the customers should understand.
True Verizon fashion... their posted hours online and on the door are different... online says they open at 9 ... door says they open at 10 ... sign on the door says they open at 9 .. its 9:27 and the doors are locked and the lights are off ... I really do belive Verizon has the worst customer service 😒
Unfortunately I don’t remember the guy that helped me name. He was light skin & a manager. But he did such a great job getting me my new phone. I would definitely recommend coming here because they always get the job done.

The service and the people at the store I awesome I used to work there and the people are great but however my service for the year with Verizon as whole at my location is slow as can be start of my bill cycle I can even load a video and it takes forever just to load a webpage if that is fixed for Sumter then Ilya I’ll change my rating but for now the second my phones paid ima have to switch because it’s just way to slow like dial up slow it should never be that slow even being throttled
I was going in to exchange a new cell I had purchased the week before in GA. The girl asked for the receipt before she even had it in her hands she said $50 to restock (which is ridiculous). Then said we cant have elp you because its a 3rd party. I had to drive 45 minutes to go to the 3rd party to exchange the cell. They are so much friendlier than Sumter Verzion.

Why put a phone number on your google maps page that you never intend to answer?? Your employee told me there’s some problem with your landline due to a lightning strike and she wasn’t sure why the problem was not being fixed. I call BS. You are the representative of one of the top telecom companies in our nation. If you can’t get your own landline fixed what kind of credibility does that give Verizon? Surely your landline is a VOIP product. Come on. Stop with the BS.

They was 7 minutes late opening up the door the sign read 10:00 if they cant do any better than that maybe its time for you to find some you help everybody wants a job but nobody wants to unless it suits them and then two of them come out with a tablet while we were lined up I was like really everyone had a whats the issue here I wont be going back Im quite sure a lot others wont eitherif this is what Verizon is about maybe its time to find a new carrier

I showed up to the store an hour before they closed just to purchase a phone. They told me to wait outside. It was 52 degrees and windy as hell. I had my 2 year old son with me. They told me they would help me as soon as they could. I waited for an hour when there were three associates inside and only 1 customer. They would not let me inside. When it can to the stores closing time. They locked the doors and told me to leave. They did not once try to help me. They did not once ask if I needed anything. Worst experience I have ever had in my lifetime. I will be leaving Verizon as a customer.
My fiance and I went to open a new account today and they denied service because the ID had a tiny crack on the side of it ! Of it wasnt an id I would post the pic for you guys literally nothing is wrong with it no plastic is lifting or anything you can see everything very clearly! It was the last device left and I really needed it for a gift!

Phone needs new chip apparently can’t answer calls. We have to restart and call back. Sumter store is never open now. Only commercial store in the county probably further closing for the Dempanic election infection. Ridiculous. Our phones are paid off may be time to move on.

BEWARE FOLKS: This Verizon located here in Sumter is one of the worst we have ever been to. Stopped off here to get assistance in replacing a safety glass we had on a phone we brought from Verizon and they would not give us any assistance mainly, we believe, because they would not make any MONEY. Sorry customer service here. After reading some of the other reviews on this place, it is very clear they are only after your MONEY and the heck with you. We checked with another verizon and they said they would assist us with no problem. Never again will we do business with a place like this! Sorry as you get! TO THE OWNER; YOU CAN NOT TRY TO SMOOTH IT OVER WITH YOUR COMMENT LISTED BELOW. UPDATE: 22 May stopped off at the Verizon store in Conway and they went out of their way to assist us. They put the safety glass on for us with no problems at no cost. It is to my understanding that a large portion of the Sumter Verizon business comes from the military community and veterans. I can say with ease that this is one combat veteran you will never get business with!

Michael Brooks is the guy to asked for. When Ive been there he has been incredibly helpful. He is very knowledgeable. He always follows up with a text message giving you his cell number and inviting you to contact him with any questions or concerns.
They are the real Verizon store and will not even give a person the same deal that the sub Verizon store will give.
Verizon has incredible phone service but not customer service(in the store)! You can talk under the bed, under the water, in the treetop, in the closet! Verizon has the best network in the world!
Usually, never have to wait for a customer service rep. And if you have to, you wont wait too long! Good customer service and pleasant staff.Coverage is good for the most part, unless you are driving thru mountains.

We did stand around for a while waiting on someone to help us. They said they were under staffed. When they got to us, everything went really smooth. Bing, bang, boom, all done.
The guy that we just spoke with obviously didnt know how to do his job. He was rude and arrogant when we asked a simple question. People like this man should not work in customer service. We will be paying our phones off and leaving Verizon for good! Sumter Verizon wireless store needs to check their employees and their attitude!

I received very enthusiastic customer service, and I believe I was told the truth or something like the truth when I was suckered into buying yet another service. What I keep forgetting about is everytime a new service is added on, my contract gets extended another TWO years......I have been with Verizon since before it was Verizon (over 20+ years). I am about ready to pull my account and go to another service provider due to the way several of their online techs ability to screw up a perfectly good thing, and lie to me about what they are going to do, and then give me their own cell phone numbers and stop answering my calls because they know what they did to you.....they told you a LIE!!!!!
Okay thanks, just one thing, the representative we had was very professional, until my husband told him we already bought a phone case. Then he kept pushing his deal on my husband and after my husband told him several times that he did not want the deal. His customer service went down the drain and got lippy with my husband. Our experience was good up until then. We also had to wait after hours to do a data transfer when all we wanted was my contacts transfered over. After 20 minutes of no communication, the gentleman came from the back room and just handed both phones to us and told my husband to watch it. He than kind of shoved us aside and went to help another customer and just left us sitting there for over 30 minutes. Eventually the supposed manager responded to my husbands questions. Its past 9 pm at this point. We told the manager all we wanted was contacts switched over and didnt need this data transfer. Manager said, okay let me do that for you real quick. 5 minutes later the task was done.That representative we originally talked to was completely unprofessional and my husband and I honestly never want to go back to the Verizon in Sumter.

For all you military veterans and civilians come see the ladies at the T-Mobile in Sumter mall they will buy you out your contract and give you great customer service. We switched and will never be back!
Initial sell goes well but any follow up visits are horrible. Never received my 100 Visa that was promised after several months. Do not recommend military to do business here.
The staff here are always very friendly and knowledgeable. The problem here is that there is always an absurdly long wait for service. Im sure its a hard and long, costly process for the company to train its people to such a high level of detailed knowledge; however, to keep a store like this operational, it is necessary to keep it staffed at an appropriate level.
Went to upgrade my sons phone and get my daughters repaired. We went after work hours so it was very crowded. We were met at the door, welcomed, and put on the waiting list. The staff checked on us at least 3 times and thanked us for our patience. Dave came and helped us. I believe his name is Dave. Tall, African American fellow with glasses. He was FANTASTIC! My son got his phone and my daughter had a new phone in less than 24 hours. It is the best customer service and attention to detail I have received in a long time. Excellent service.

I’ve had Verizon since 2010. About 2 years ago Verizon started over charging me and messing up on my plan. Never switched my line properly over to my husbands line and closed the account when they said they did. They charged me 68.00 dollars and never contacted me about it. Then sent it to collections. I tried to call several times after finding out about it 3 months later because they never updated my information correctly either. I’ve been on hold for a total of 45 minutes trying to take care of this. I can’t wait to get out of my contract and tell Verizon to screw off. They don’t even deserve a star. This is the second time they’ve done this to me in the last 6 months. Don’t get Verizon.

I had a bad charging cord from my iPhone Ive only had it a month I went back for them to look at and see about getting another one and first of all he says all theyre not under warranty. So since my phone number didnt ring up in their computer he decides to say he wants to receipt or the bye and the box it came in well I had the box and I had the receipt and I showed it to him and he still wouldnt warranty it and give me another cord and I told him I see what you all about money nothing else I told him Id never come back and Ill never use Verizon again.
Overall I had a very excellent and friendly experience.Positives: I had Brittney and Dante help me switch over, I didnt have an appointment made or anything, just walked right in and they helped me out. The store was fairly busy and it took a bit of time to get everything set up, but the process was very smooth and I had the patience to wait, so it was okay!Negatives: This is a little more understandable situation to me, but still not what I had asked for. Brittney got me started in the process, but had to hand it over to another representative, and in that process there was a slight confusion. I decided to decline protection/insurance for my device, but it ended up getting put on there anyways, so I had to cancel it myself.Other than that, the staff there is very friendly, consistently checking on you to see if you were helped (but didnt over do it). And for a unscheduled walk-in, I think it was a good experience. Would 5/5 if incident with added protection didnt happen.

RUDE!!! I walked in to purchase a phone .The guy was clearly not interested in making a sale!! When I asked about the amount of storage the phone had he tells me 32 gb. Which in fact was 64, which I found out by myself after I was told hed have to go in the stock room to check and took forever to come out so I left. How are you selling phones when you dont know jack! Its sad when I dont work for Verizon and know how to pull up info on the phone to find out what I need to know right there on the floor. Hire people that are motivated in selling your products Verizon! You lost a sale today. And Im highly considering another phone company to do business with. Also, your inventory for accessories are rather sad! Do better!!
Well the visit was ok. But went in for a up grade I seen online, an there was a catch to the upgrade that wasnt posted in the add online. An once I told the associate I didnt want to pay the monthly charge, I wanted it for what the add said, she just went to someone else an didnt say anything else to me. So over all the service sucked from that associate. Scale of 1-10. I choose a 2.

There are a lot of issues with Verizon Wireless in general, and this store in particular has given me a lot of stress. I purchased the 3 gig plan when they still had it, and I paid 2 months for 3 gigs but only got 1 gig. When I noticed this and complained, they switched me over to a 4 gig plan (without refunding or crediting my account) which they charged then me for the change without telling me. They have not removed this charge, even after numerous discussions.Another time, I went in to get my mothers number changed (we were on family plan) and they changed MY number instead, then changed it back. They charged me for both and have not removed the charges, even after numerous complaints.Verizon in general is a horrible company. While being unemployed and unable to make payments, I have had numerous calls with them about my situation. I am finally employed again and am slowly catching up on my late payments, but despite having made a $100 payment just two days ago, I am STILL being HARASSED with phonecalls and text messages every day. I have to turn my phone off entirely while at my new job to avoid losing my job over the harassing phone calls from Verizon, because you cannot mute Verizons number, as I have recently learned.I have been with Verizon since December 2015. I regret my decision to choose them and cannot wait for my phones to be paid off and my contract to be over so I can switch.

Cant help me, I need to call apparently, the cycle continues.No access to my own account to even pay my bill unless I go in store, I travel for work and usually dont stay longer than 8 hours anywhere and no where near a store so thats a deal breaker.
