My fav. Indian store. Excellent collection. One stop shop for all occasions. Very organized, courteous staff and fresh cut vegetables. Love freshly grated coconut and full banana leaves. A 22 mile drive for me that is so worth the time and effort.

This store has almost all south Indian groceries and snacks. Especially the fresh grated coconut. Giving 5 star for the cashier who suggested me their own Idly/Dosa batter ANNAM. Initially I thought they are branding their product, but No. The batter is preservative free and the quality was nice like we make at home. Have tried more than 10 times and never disappointed. In between I tried another brand, which I could sense the quality of Idly. Thanks again for Annam and please keep giving it in same quality.👍👍

Their Annam idli batter is easily one of the best. We buy that in preference to making our own batter at home! With no added salt, it leaves us free to customize to individual taste. Good tips from the lady at the cash counter to get fluffy idlis :-)

I used to shop from here regularly. The only negatives were lack of price tags and items being slightly overpriced. But now, there seem to be a change in management or something, the attitude / behavior of the new staff has become very rude. I will consider shopping from here only as a last choice.

Coconut Hill is a nice little Indian grocery store that started in Sunnyvale many years ago! They used to have an attached Video cassette store (those good old days!) from where we used borrow our movies. The store stocks many products from Kerala. Variety is relatively limited but fairly adequate. Vegetables are a hit or miss depending on which day you decide to visit. The BEST part about the store is the availability of freshly grated coconut (which they will grate for you upon request) and their super fine rice flour (idiappam flour). The downside is that none of the products are labeled properly for price and they are somewhat pricier compared to other big box Indian grocery stores in the area. That being said, I love the mom-and-pop feel of the place and the greens they get on a couple of days of the week. Call and check with them for availability of fresh veggies and greens!

I visit this store regularly and today I got amazing service from the cashier. I’ve been to the store before and met her. She has always been extremely helpful and polite. She had recommended Anam idli and dosa batter last time and it turned out to be really good. I will be returning to this store.

I used to visit coconut hill for indian groceries and found many rare items which is not available in most of the indian groceries. But, One particular cashier keeps insisting on buying items and makes you feel guilty if you cancel an item during checkout. And there is no pricetags for most of the item, so You have to go and ask the cashier for price, and if the price doesnt work out and if the item is refused, he makes to feel guilty. This makes me feel not to come here again.

Small and a bit cramped, but well-maintained. Generally well-stocked. Pre-cut vegetables are usually fresh, and very convenient. Friendly owners/employees. Lots of parking right outside. Great for regular Indian grocery shopping.A website for placing orders for pickup/delivery or just to check items in stock will make me bump my rating up to 5 stars.

Tried ordering online thru DingDongGrocery.com, called Sunnyvale store to confirm some prices amazing prices listed online for produce - Tomatoes for 0.49c, Okra for 0.99c, cilantro for 0.25c, but they mentioned all the prices are incorrect and will not honor those prices. Tomatoes are 0.99c, Okra for 2.99c and cilantro for 0.49c, double the prices listed. Not sure how are they conducting business like this, is it a switch and bait strategy they have adopted in name of COVID data maintenance. They need to up there game if they want to sell products online.

Almost gave it only 4 stars, because it IS tiny. On the other hand, they manage to have so much variety, and great vegetable selection too.I now live some distance away, but I often make the drive stop in to that tiny store, because they seem to carry things that the big stores dont have.Great selection of fresh produce. I wish I lived nearby. None of their vegetables look tired. They even sell fresh country chicken and goat, packed. Phone first, tho. They grate coconuts themselves and sell the fresh grated coconut. In addition to the normal dals, flours, yoghurt, and rices, they carry an amazing variety of pre-made podi and pre-made masalas. Not only MDH, and Everest, but some of the regional brands.Did I mention that they are without fail, friendly, helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable? You feel more like a guest than a shopper.Prices are in line.UPDATE: just went back again, during Covid-19. The employees are VERY CAREFUL about masks. I could tell that they just cleaned the whole place with bleach, too. Shelves are spotless. We are going to skip the big stores and shop here for safety. If and when the older members of our family do shopping for themselves, Ill suggest that they go to this place, as it appears to be the safest. As my mom used to say, you could almost eat off the floor.

It is convenient but somethings are distrubing..price labels are missing in lot of items - unlike other shops. That is a problem because the shop takes advantage of us and charge much more. A salt packet was 2.89$ here, while in other shops it is 0.99 . So are other items as well (curry leaves $1.99 vs 0.99 in other shops), a bit costlier than other shops.

The possibility that youll find what youre looking for is high. But its a very small store, footprint wise; with everything cramped together. The aisles are too narrow for a single cart. They advertise they give an Indian DVD for 50$ or more. They also have some points program. Today he told me they are mutually exclusive although it is not in their receipt and I have used both earlier at least once. If they can lie just for this couple of dollar item, they can lie and cheat about any of their goods. It is not about few dollars but the trust. We just cant bring ourselves to trust them again with this kind of liar running their store. They just lost our business.
