Worst service ever, cashiers didnt even care if there were customers waiting at the register. Didnt even say hello or thank you. Management or owner didnt care about customers. Hate this place and management; worth no star, not even one.
Ive been here multiple times and all of the staff are very friendly and help you with alot! Ive bought many foods that i wouldve never been able to try elsewhere and i loved all of them! I used to be somewhat of a ig you can call regular bc id usually go every weekend and it was just very fun to shop in 20/10 would reccommend. (P.s.) ive seen alot of people say its stinky and smells lije fish but thats gonna be expected since it has a fish market in it🤷 never bothered me!
Great market!!! So many beautiful foods and ingredients and FRESH produce!Good staff...I recommend it highly
My rating is a 3.5. The place smells bad. They need better ventilation. Not all but some of the butchers are not helpful. In fact they were rude to me.This place has lots of Asian products. Some to which I cant find elsewhere.
They’re barely sale everything I need as Asian immigrant living in US. Always craving some Asian food and good things I can find there! Price quite cheap.Minus : have no idea mostly coworker there so mean, and today I went there for buy baking powder, guess what, that simple thing I need and I’m about hurry because I swing by there in breaktime work and one coworker when I ask “ hey do you know where is aisle for baking powder?”He running and said, No English, No English.Have no idea, he act like I want robbed Him.Looking forward for looking another Asian store arround I living. 👎
Nice place to visit but I didnt buy anything there. Too foreign for my tastes.
Great produce & meat! All things Asian & its clean!!
Great selection. Best we have found in Fort Lauderdale area
This is the Death Star of Asian markets! Lots of good stuff and odd finds. Always end up finding something new here.
Nice Oriental market with a big selection. Found some spices I was looking for. Large produce section with value day old produce in the back. My wife says the place has an odor she cant stand, but it does not bother me. :)
Good Asian market. Great selection of greens, fresh fish and seafood.Good selection of spices and other Asian items.
Just what I was looking for! Good variety of fresh produce and meats, plus amazing frozen items, snacks and sauces.
Always enjoy grabbing a cup of tea and picking up products I cant find elsewhere in the area. Great selection of produce; literally the only place Ive been able to find fresh lotus root.
I have been going to Food Town for the past five years and recently moved and New York Mart became closer to my house. I have been going to the New York Mart for 2 years and had been very happy with their costumer service and food quality there. Their bread is delicious I will always get some every time I go. They also have great fresh drinks. Love everything they have and everyone that works there!
Fairly good choices of oriental food as well as choice of face masks!
This store is clean, relatively well stocked Asian supermarket. During my first visit I was kind of wandering aimlessly since I was not familiar with the settings and some of the packaging of the products I was interested in only had information written in Chinese. The second time I went, I was more prepared, having taken the step to research the items on my list. It will be my place to go for Asian items. The staff is friendly enough, they speak mostly Chinese. I have to mention that they have a large assortment of sauces, frozen dumplings, dried mushrooms, seaweed and seaweed products. The Bok choy there is fresher than in any other place. The prices are what you would expect to pay, you might even get a good deal on some items.
Everything you can need for a great chinese cuisine
Love this store! They have a great variety of fresh foods to tea, snacks and soju.Their produce was such good quality and they even had new apples I’d never heard of. Well stocked, clean and easy to navigate. I’ll be coming here often even though the drive is out of my way.
My peoples.... All kinds of people shop here. Come respectful and mind yours. Good people. Good place.
The best Asian market around
They have a great variety of asian articles
The magnitude of fresh produce, fresh seafood and meats and refrigerated items here sets this store apart from other Asian marts in the area. However, I go to Asian markets for the Nongshim Japanese-style udon and they stopped carrying it so now I drive to a different mart far away. Also, the strong fishy odor here permeates the packaging of items bought and last month the bags ramen I got there smelled really off-putting.
Every variety of bok choy you desire.
I love this Asian supermarket 😍💙♥, every time I visit Miami Ill be there
Two aisles of frozen dumplings and bao. Unbelievable selection. Great for whole fresh fish, especially for branzino.
Employees is friendly, can help to find products, veg and meat is very fresh,I came twice a week,
I love this place! To put it into terms its like a New York City of Asian products and food. So many things in there imported from all over (Thai, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese.. you name it they have it). They also have produce, a fish market, and an area in the back for kitchenware. I go there on the regular to buy spicy chili, ramen, seaweed, tea, and whatever else I need. If you love Asian food you will love this store.
Tons of oriental stuff. Chinese spices. Sauces, soups, seafood, all kinds of seasoning sauces oyste, oyster etc. Fruits lychee, logun, rambotan,Pork belly. Shrimp. Fish, squid toms of seafood
Very nice all asian grocery store. Been there many times and will definitely be back.
Love it. I was able to find fresh seafood and a reasonable price. Super fresh and so many variety of items.Space was clean and service was kind and helpful.
Awesome spot. Clean with alot of interesting products
A new store with excellent roasted duck and other Chinese food. So in love with it.
Very good and clean fresh smelling. Thanks to the lady that helped me gain the attention of busy attendant setting up. I appreciate you. Got 2 live dungoness crabs and veggies at 0920 on 7/11. I will be back. Thank you. Wonderful service
New York Mart has everything you need for Oriental culinary delights and the best meat and seafood department in South Florida. Its like going to China to buy groceries but it has more, and all fresh! Its worth the extra miles.
I went to this store yesterday for the first time because I always wanted to visit an Asian marketplace. They have a variety of Asian foods and snacks and it’s a very big place. The thing that made me uncomfortable was the stares I received from other customers. I guess it’s because they aren’t used to seeing black people shopping at a place like that. I even had someone roll their eyes at me lol. But that will not stop me from visiting again. Overall, I love the foods and snacks. Just expect stares if you are black or a race they aren’t used to seeing.
Biggest variety of Asian food products of anywhere I have been in South Florida. They carry fresh and live fish and crabs. The variety of fish, meats, and produce cannot be expressed enough. Remarkable. Friendly and helpful staff. You are not allowed to take pictures. There are signs everywhere. I am not sure why. They are very affordable.
Big, clean and good looking store. They have variety of Chinese products and produce . But if you were a Filipino looking for our own products here, you cant find any, or should I say 5 % of Filipino products and 95% are all Chinese. You might feel intimidated because they have a LOT of team members scattered all over the aisle, and also that quick gaze they gave on you.
I love it here! A very large variety of foods! Fresh live seafood! Even fresher fruits and vegetables.Staff doesn’t really talk much but that’s ok. The store has everything you can think of 😊
Decent little market for pretty much all things Oriental
Great Market. Has a ton of staples. Good prices and great selection of cookware
If youre looking for A1 customer service....this aint it! However, if youre looking for variety of Asian items this is the place to go. The prices are reasonable, just double check exp dates on canned items. Cashiers are known to toss up the closed sign & leave theyre cash registers w/o warning, no matter if theres a line or not!
Decent chinese market. Fresh meat and various seafood selection. Worthy to try
Bad costumer service …..never go back again!!!
Less special offers and very little discounts
Great seafood department. Fresh vegetables. The store is always clean.
Ive been going here for a while and Ive determined their selection is sometimes limited. They seem to prefer Taiwan and Japanese products at the expense of Mainland products. This is problematic because Mainland is 267x bigger than Taiwan, meaning there is much more food variety on Mainland. This is very evident in their snack and alcohol section (no baijiu?? only sake) . The only preserved plums they have are awkwardly Japanese. Other stores like Foodtown in WPB have more variety of shelf products. NY Mart has nice produce and noodle selection. If you have limited English this is your stop as all the cashiers are Chinese speakers.
Way overpriced for the quality
Staff was not helpful at all. Leaky roof or freezer coolers? They had a cardboard boxes on the floor to soak up the mess. Flies on the onions in the produce section. All items in the store were overpriced compared to other Asian markets I visit.
Great little shopping center
I went shopping at this New York Mart yesterday and bought some lottery tickets at 4:30 PM. I Paid $30 cash. Two minutes later I found out I won $100. I was happy to get inside the market and cash my ticket. The lady was so rude. She told me she didn’t have money and Let me cash the ticket at Publix at a very bad attitude. For a cash only business, if you don’t have cash, can you say it nicely? I was so angry right now. You need to respect your customers.
Smell is in fresh seafood, make feel terrible.
This is the only NYC-style full fledged Asian supermarket in the entire South Florida area that I know of. Complete with a fresh seafood section, produce, butcher, exotic meats, in addition to the non-perishables youd find in any of those smaller Asian mini marts. Low prices, good location. Highly recommended
Not so good
This NYC/Flushing style Chinese no-frills supermarket has a huge selection of authentic Chinese and Asian products. I always find what I need here, (Ive been cooking Asian cuisine for 40 years.) Its worth a 40 min drive for me. Staff is helpful too.
Love this place! They have what we need! Great products and the cashiers are always super nice and friendly.
Always has a great selection of produce, fresh meat, fresh seafood, and dry items. The bakery and BBQ items section always has fresh and tasty options. The new LED lights above the open refrigerated section really brightens up the area. The one complaint is the entrance door, the plastic flaps are annoying to go through and probably not the most sanitary.
I wish I could give the five stars; but customer service is so bad that hindered my total experience. Everytime I asked for anything, all is in Chinese, so I had to ask, every person had an attitude and cranky approach. They dont help. Thank God I used Google translate. However, this is my favourite place above all. If youre a Chinese culture enthusiast, this is the perfect place for you. Please dont judge the place for the terrible customer service. Li, the cashier, was the only one who helped.
Great market with very helpful staff. I specifically love going there to get roast pork buns, soup and Chinese brand sausage. My son loves going to see the live fish and frogs
Only place I know of to get great rare Asian finds in this part of the Tri-County area. Some of that Seafood is literally as fresh as you can get (its alive until you order it) and the rest is good too. Rare items include snails in the shell and razor clams, two treats I love. If youve ordered food at an Asian restaurant in the area, odds are it came from here.
My friend showed me this asian grocery store. It is full of fun items that you normally wouldnt find in a publix or whole foods. Lots of great spices to experiment with and some intriguing vegetables as well.
Good selection of Chinese groceries and meat products. There’s a bakery counter selling variety of bread buns but the quality is not as good as what one can get at Food Town’s bakery. Price of groceries is slightly higher than Food Town.
What do you neeed. Its all here. Very good variety. Products look good. And you know youre in that authentic place when you get that strong scent hit you as you walk in. Minimum 10 dollar for credit card use. They will remind you every time. Bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. If you go in and need a small basket they are the red ones behind the cashier sort of off to the left a bit as soon as you walk in. They are not really near the front.
I was going to rate you 4 but let me tell you, one of your cashiers who is able to speak English, is very nasty. She has a bad attitude and looks at the customer with disdain. I wish that they include in their training respect and courtesy to their customers . She is a little heavy with long hair and she understand and speak English. Next time ill find out her name.
Such a wide selection of Chinese goods. Love the stands with bubble tea, cooked meats (especially crispy pork), and Chinese pastries. Yes, I know the fish area stinks up the place. But it is totally worth it! I just wish I lived closer.
Food is expensive. Many things have expired
Nice Asian supermarket with fish market and fresh veggies. Limited cooked, prepared food choices.
Love it!!
They have a very extensive selection of the essentials and some really lovely cups & bowls & other items to choose from also!
Great place for unique seafood and produce offerings not easily found elsewhere. Smells heavily of fish, but that doesnt bother me.
Used to be a great store with great prices. Now it become very expensive store. Many products more expensive than Whole Foods, sometimes double the price. Greed will kill this business if they keep it like this.
Great location and staff. Seafood Meats All the veggies imaginable Teas Snacks 😱🥰
Large Asian market with fresh veggies, packaged goods and ceramic goods. Very reasonably priced. Fab selection of teas. I had a great shopping experience.
You name it you will find here. Anything Chinese of course. From plates, teas, fresh vegetables. Fresh seafood and snacks.
Great grocery store. Has a good selection of fresh produce. Small bakery but it has good stuff. They have bubble tea here too, tastes good.
Excellent grocery with good prices and solid selection of Asian produce. Seems very Chinese based so I couldnt get some of the Thai ingredients I needed and you need to know what youre looking for since many of the people stocking the shelves do not speak English, but Im definitely coming back.
Well stocked and priced. Wary of the cooked food when I saw the woman behind the counter combing her hair around the food. Extremely rude and not helpful
Looking for sambal chili sauce. Number of condiments in aisle was astounding. Lots of items Id never seen before. May need to go back for the variety of pot stickers.
I like this store for getting blue crabs,it is a very unique store, live dish eels, frogs, turtles and so on,it may seem like the clerks are mean but I think its because they dont speak English, there is a black man and several Hispanic men who work there, try to get one of them to help you but some of the clerks do speak a little English, but if you want odd or oriental foods that you cant find elsewhere this is the place.
Ever wondered where Asians get the real stuff? Here it is. I mean come on, do you know another place that sells live eels? And gives you a choice of types? Fine. How about live frogs too? Some things are pricey or else this would be FIVE STARS.
Its a great Asian market if you are looking for the a great selection of the basics.Mostly Chinese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese.Unfortunately the smell of the meat/fish section can sometimes be a bit strong.
This market is great but they dont have everything. And the butcher has a bit of an attitude if you dont buy large quantities of meat. Fish dept has recently improved. And they have a bubble tea cafe inside that isnt bad
Nice Asian market. Slightly pricier than foodtown in Hollywood but its cleaner and nicer.
